Remember when you used to be productive? Funny enough, the time when your productivity evaporated appears to coincide with the rise of really good, really addictive online games, as well as social networks. Today marks the day that you can reclaim your old productive self, though, with a copy of today’s discount promotion, SprintWork Distraction Blocker!

SprintWork Distraction Blocker blocks social networks, games, and programs, and is customizable according to time of day and day of the week. With SprintWork Distraction Blocker, you’ll be able to instantly become more productive, tailoring your work time and your free time using one of three modes. Block List mode lets you block specific websites. Allow List mode blocks everything but the sites you specify. And if you want to be absolutely sure, you can even use SprintWork Distraction Blocker to block all Internet access!

Flexibility is the name of the game with SprintWork Distraction Blocker. Set any of the three modes to take effect only at specific times of day, or on specific days of the week. Exempt specific users from blocking and monitoring. And when it comes to desktop games and applications, SprintWork Distraction Blocker can not only restrict access, it can also track time spent on these programs, total run times, and start and stop times!

Javier Gil Interesting concept.
"The most visited sites" list, do your servers get a copy of that information or is it stored only at the user's computer?

Veridium Software No, it doesn't send any monitoring data to our servers. All monitoring data and settings are stored only on the user's computer.

Michael R. Beside logging the visited websites, I would be interested in the programs and the time I actively use, where 'actively' does not mean, which are running without me doing anything with them, but really working with. Can these be logged too?

Is it possible, instead of having a kind of blacklist, i.e. a list of program not allowed, to have a whitelist, which should mean, the programs a user is allowed to use actively?

Veridium Software Yes, it also records programs actively used and total active/idle computer usage time. A program is considered 'active' if its window is currently focused (i.e.: not minimized or running in the background). You can also see total run time and program usage sessions in the "Full List" of programs.

We found that having a whitelist of programs is particularly dangerous because, while it is easy to keep track of essential system processes that need to be always allowed, there may be many other third party programs that, if blocked, could cause your system to malfunction (e.g.: drivers or security software)..

MK I can see this being useful, especially if you work from home and need to be disciplined in not getting diverted (like me!)
It needs a "minimize to system tray" so that it can run in the background.
For $10 I'm happy to give it a go.

Edit: oops - you can minimize to system tray. You can close down the program, but still have it running in the system tray.
