What are people saying about SpyShelter Premium

a a Great piece of software that provides protection from various logger malware, including on x64. It's similar to Zemana Anti-Logger but, unlike Zemana where the licence is only a subscription (ie. after a year it stops working unless you renew), the licence for SpyShelter is perpetual and you get lifetime upgrades/updates.

The one feature missing is the ability to block apps from launching a URL when a web browser is already running. While most firewalls can block apps from doing this when the browser is not running, most cannot block this when the browser is already running. Apps/malware can use this simple technique to pass data (potentially confidential) to a web server in the URL.

If it had this ability, SpyShelter would be perfect, but it's still a great complement to an AV/AM/Firewall.

Hans Nielsen the SpyShelter Icon appears in the toolbar. You can double-click this to access program. NO i cant, it is there, but nothing happent when i do clicking on it ?? i did a reinstall and it run as Admin, still the Icon do not respond ? my OS windows7 x64 Ultimate

Stephane M I do not know if it is supposed to do anything when we click or double-click on the systray icon but when I try I get the same result as Hans Nielsen i.e. Nothing happens.
I am running Win7 x64 Premium and it is the same with Vista x64 Premium.
The only way I can get the SpyShelter GUI is by launching it through the shortcut in All programs menu.

If only they would add the ability to detect and block when an application executes a URL - most firewalls detect this when the browser is not open, but if the browser is already open, a lot of firewalls won't detect it. This can be used to pass data to a remote server via the URL itself. As most people tend to have a browser window open all the time, this is a potential security risk.

SpyShelter lock's it self when loaded, only dubbleklick on icon on desktop can open it ?????
it do run on admin rights, so woot is wrong, last time you have this deal up it was the same, lots of peapoel couldent get it to run like me.

John H Question for the Bit du Jour Guy: There are a a bazillion anti virus, malware, key logger and other security software solutions available on the internet. You have offered a fair hand full of solutions on BDJ. Do you have any criteria for the security solutions you decide to offer on BDJ? There are so many offers out there, I just automatically ignore them.

I have purchased a lot of great software through your sight but have ignored the security software. With some more information I may start paying attention to your security offerings.

a a JTH qwerty - not all anti-logger software supports x64. Also, this comes with lifetime upgrades, whereas the comparable Zemana AntiLogger is subscription based (ie. after 1 years subscription the software stop working completely unless you subscribe again).

rob kavia a a "comparable" I don't think SpyShelter offers more sensitive protection especially under 64 bit where it really works! Competitors like mentioned app even do not catch most of own test and sell it.
Thanks for this promotion - absolutely top class software.
BTW: SpyShelter is not also anti logger is has also restriced mode (some kind of sandbox feature) + comfortable virustotal scanning ...

a a rob - I only mentioned Zemana as it's probably one of the only other x64 anti-logging/rootkit software. I agree SpyShelter is a lot more than just an anti-logger, and have also read about Zemana failing some some of the tests. SpyShelter is best in-class and a worthy addition to everyone's security software.

You don't want them doing that. Many e-mails, particularly newsletters and mail lists (including BdJ's), contain URLs to be clicked to get further information. As well, most (if not all) programs contain URLs in help sections or on "about" pages to facilitate getting to the product's web site or support forum or even to check for updates, as was asked about by someone. And then there's anti-virus software which updates its database(s) regularly. All of these things would break if applications were blocked when they execute a URL...which would definitely be undesirable.

SoftCollector Users of BitsDujour seem to jump at every opportunity to buy antimalware / antispyware products, but please be advised that these programs cannot be run simultaneously, unless you want to get into major trouble.

Instead of buying every bit of 'security' software that comes alonga and claims to be doing this and that, you'd better find a comprehensive solution that has it all: be it Outpost, Kaspersky, or Norton (not recommended by me).

Purchasing and installing separately a firewall, an antivirus, an antispyware, an anti keylogger, etc. may not be equal to the sum of these elements.

That may sometimes be the case, however, picking the best separate firewall, best separate anti-malware, and best separate anti-keylogger can also result in better protection, with no conflicts.

I run SpyShelter and recommend it. Better than Zemana, and it comes with lifetime upgrades. It's main competitor, Zemana, requires a continual yearly subscription fee (ie. it stops working if you don't keep paying).

Besides this, may I also suggest that you try deleting the cache in several other browsers like Google Chrome or Internet Explorer (even Opera or Safari). Deleting the browser cache before accessing the buy now page is an important step before accessing the Buy Now page.

D J I too encountered the same error as Markus J when attempting to order. I was going to order 3 licenses and a back-up CD, but I have hit a stonewall so to speak. Everything goes just fine in populating the data fields on the Plimus order screen, including the addiitional volume discount, until I select which State (in the USA) for the billing address [shipping address is the same].. When I select the State, the same error message appears that the coupon has already been used. I have run CCleaner to clear out the cache. I have tried both Firefox and Internet Explorer, but no success with either browser. Oh well, another missed sale. I was looking forward to replacing Zemana with this product on multiple PCs, but it is not to be. I have ordered before via Plimus and had no problems until today. So it goes.

I saw that and tried to purchase just one copy with a previously untried laptop - still received the same error. All of my machines are win7 with the latest updates including Internet Explorer. It must be something within their code because the error occurs exactly when a state from the state dropdown is selected - no matter what computer I have used - the result is identical. Oddly though some people seem to have been able to make a purchase. A mouse click on the dropdown should act the same for any browser, one would think...

Victor User I too tried to order this yesterday and ran into the same problem as the other posters as I could not purchase this program and kept getting the same error message, IT would be nice to see the company fix the error and offer this program today - or at the very least offer people who had a problem the opportunity to buy it.

To date I see no response from the company regarding these issues other than one post yesterday. I have even written the company directly at the address they posted above and still no response. Based on their lack of support on this issue, I am beginning to think Spy Shelter can't be that good and would offer no support if someone did buy it.

D J I too tried the link that was provided back in October and received the same error message that the coupon had expired.

Well, I guess Santa is not coming to the rescue of everyone (including me) that wanted to buy Spy Shelter at the discounted price that was offered back at the end of October but could not because of issues with the payment processing company.

I wanted to buy multiple licenses (3 to 5) but the GRINCH is still in control of the situation since no offer/solution has been forthcoming to remedy the problem. Pity, for Spy Shelter would be a welcome replacement to an anti-keylogger software program that sometimes does not play well with other resident anti-malware programs that I am currently running.

Since the first release of the SpyShelter(over 3 years ago), all upgrades were and are completely free and will remain so. This is our license policy, and we do not intend to change it ever.

We were the first to create Windows 7 x64 anti keylogger, now We were first again to develop Windows 8 x64 anti keylogger, while everyone kept saying that it is impossible :-)

Jickball Jalabala Okay so I installed this on my Windows 7 x64bit laptop. When I went to register, and I keep getting this error: "Sorry, the registration name and code are not valid!". I went to un-install and when I click the uninstall button under the agent name, it says the agent isn't online. HOW DO I FULLY UN-INSTALL?

JL I am a SpyShelter Firewall user and I am considering buying a SpyShelter Premium license. But I have some questions:

-Is there any future plan of adding an official support forum? I would like to post some questions and suggest some improvements there.
-The Spanish translation of your software is really bad so I am using the English version by now. Do you accept new translation files? There is no way to attach files in the current support form.

T Hall I also would be interested in the SpyShelter Firewall version. Hope to see that promotion.
I have used another anti-keylogger program but so far it does not provide the protection for the sound and webcam that I am aware of. This added protection would be useful and once again, the added firewall would make this an attractive promotion.

B Josephs +1 for a lifetime license discount. I nabbed one here at BDJ last April for not much more than the current offer - many thanks to Dtatpol and BDJ!

I'm currently running Spyshelter together with Winpatrol. Obviously, Spyshelter is designed to be much more than just a simple HIPS like Winpatrol. However, it seems to me that Spyshelter's system protection flags different events than Winpatrol. I'm wondering if running both is prudent or overkill.
Any opinions?

I also have lifetime Keyscrambler as well and since Spyshelter says that it's keyscrambler is beta I still use Keyscrambler and don't enable that feature on Spyshelter.

You can upgrade to lifetime license during first 2 weeks of owning 1 year license by paying the difference between the price of lifetime and 1 yearlicense.
