Bradley MacDonald I purchased this a few months ago. Nice set of Graphics. There are a number of ones that are very close or similar - BUT there are also a good number that are different.

If you are looking for images to use in buttons, etc for developing applications - this is a good place to start. I am happy with the purchase.

ByteSmith !) Statement above states: Full, royalty free licenses to all available Lokas Software stock icon sets, in either raster or full vector (.ai) formats.
2) I got approval for purchase, but when I clicked the buy button the price is doubled for the vector format.
3) Hopefully this is an error, because my approval was based on the ai formats --

PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP

After buy button is clicked, I'm shown Vector format $375.60:
Buy Stock Icons (Pro set, pixel formats) $469.00$ 187.60
Buy Stock Icons (Vector set, pixel formats + vector Illustrator .AI files) $939.00$ 375.60

Paul,

Thanks for talking with me on the phone, as we discussed the vector formats do cost extra, they are normally $939.00 and we have a huge reduction on that today. There are two versions available and this is clear once you click the 'Buy' button, but not apparent from this page. Sorry for any frustration caused.

ByteSmith Nico,
I appreciate your time; however, please take a look at this:
To see that the All collections of Stock Icons (Vector sets) + AWicons Pro + Cover Commander sells for $469.50, point your browser at: http://www.awicons.com/bundles/ and scroll down to the second bundle section
OR point your browser directly here: https://secure.shareit.co...d5fd611622

*When a stated price reduction is not temporary - the normal price is the price that it sells at.

Bob S This may be a naive question, but are these images large enough to use for other purposes, in addition to icons? What is the largest "high resolution" image that comes w/ the offer today? In the large example above, four images are shown, with the largest being approx. 1" - that would be great, if that size is included w/ each.

Thank you.

And current price reduction on the site is temporary.

Joe Doe Hello

Very nice icons!
Maybe you could consider an option (with a lower price) for a private user, who would like just to replace some system icons, use them for a dock application or replace icons in applications that allow it.
Additional limitations could be applied: license only for private, non-commercial use, exclude vector formats and the software, exclude the biggest size (256), contain just PNG and ICO?

Regards,

Deleto Maximo Hi,

I consider myself an icon expert (not as a designer but from the point of view of a software developer). I know that designing large beautiful icons is not that difficult. The art lies in the designing of smaller sizes (esp. 16x16 but also 32x32), which are usually very difficult to master.

The problem with realistic icons is that just scaling down vectorized formats to 16x16 usually makes them very blurry if not entirely unrecognizable.

Unfortunately, if as a software developer you go with a certain big icon pack, you have to make sure to get the full range or otherwise you will need to deal with style breaks or have to pay for custom work as far as smaller sizes are concerned. Both wouldn't really make me happy. Of course, as a private user I might not care much about 16x16 versions.

So my question is: Do you guys optimize smaller sizes (16x16, 32x32) manually or are they just scaled down versions of the vector format? From the sample downloads I see, the 16x16 (at least in the realistic styles) do not look like they have been optimized manually. They do look a bit unfinished and blurry, if I may say so.

Thank you very much for clarification!
Feb 24 2011 at 8:12pm Copy Link
0
Neil Sagitov Yes, smaller sizes was optimized in Realistic Icons (blur reduced). In other collections (Aero, Soft, Vista) we have fully redrawed size 16x16. For example:

Marvin Adams Hi,

I have two questions:

(1) Acc. to your license, I'd be allowed to create website templates with these icons and then sell those to as many customers as I wanted to? These are fairly open and friendly license terms. Or am I mistaked?

(2) Do you also offer Office 2007/2010 style icons?

Thanks a lot!
Jun 17 2011 at 12:50am Copy Link
0
Neil Sagitov 1) Yes
2) No
3) You will receive raster formats and vector (if exists). Info about files formats you can find on the collection page.
4) 7500 icons not including all sizes, unique icons only

qmyg jhwp Hi

I am interested in the statement:
"Edit icons in located within executables"

Does this mean I can alter the icons of exisiting exe files (like a resource editor) - or does it mean I can only copy the icon and make changes to use it somewhere else?

Thanks

qmyg jhwp Great - I'm almost sold then...this is just what I've been looking for :)

All I need now, it to be able to do it:

I download the free tiral - told it to open the exe I want to change
(It came up with an explorer window called "search object")

At the bottom left - I can see the exe listed (under file)
But no icons are displayed - and double-clicking it doesn't do anything.

If I click scan - it find icons from other objects on my pc, but not from the exe I'm hoping to alter.

Does this mean the exe is protected or something...preventing your programme from altering it?

Or do I need to do something else?

Thanks
Jun 17 2011 at 12:06pm Copy Link
0
Neil Sagitov May be the exe is protected. But for editing icons in the exe you should open it as library. Go to the menu File-Open Library. In the library window you can select icon to edit.

qmyg jhwp I tried that - but the library is empty...I guess the things I wanted to change must be protected.

Shame :(

Michael K Hi Neil, many thanks for the swift clarification of my earlier question which is much appreciated.

You've put together a nice package for this promotion and I would just like to put one point forward for your consideration. 3D Text Commander would be such a useful complement to this package, would you consider including it or making a available on the offer day at a small additional cost if you don't just want to include it as part of the package?

And, are all the icons useable in all versions of Windows? - The reason I ask is because some are called "Vista Artistic" and clearly not everyone is using Windows vista - in fact I went straight to Windows 7 from XP and would like to be sure that all the icons in the package can be used in Windows 7 and Windows XP without any problem.

Thanks

Michael

Jan Desaer Is the "Cover Commander" and "AWIcons Pro" also included for the price of $49,50? When I fill in the form to order, I can only see the icon set on the invoice and not the 2 software tools.
Thanks to clarify this.

Amit Hello,
What things are included in this pack - icons set (7500) + 1-2 softwares ?

kindly tell the softwares or whatever is included, and vector softwares - what are they ?

also is there a money back gurantee - cos that is going to be a major factor for icons not been seen in good view (and not just small sample pictures)

Neil Sagitov @Amit All stock icons + AWicons Pro + Cover Commander
You have two ordering options: icons with vector sources (Adobe Illustrator) or without.

There is no money back BDJ offer. You can preview all icons in all sizes (with watermark) on the site. Also you can download demo icons to check file formats.

Neil Sagitov @Amit No, money back gurantee is not applicable to this deal.

Vector files can be used to edit icons, create new icons, change sizes, colors without losing of quality. This allows you to also use the icons for things such as brochures and leaflets of high quality. Regardless of the size of the icons you need, you can easily blow up the size of the vector images and then convert them to a raster image if required. Adobe Illustration 10 or higher (or compatible software) is required. Sample vector icon you can find in the demo icons on the site.

Paul Heinrich Just purchased. Was just considering buying a new cover commander license, to get all the icon packs as well and AWIcons for less than the price of the cover commander license is just a great deal. I was able to produce covers for my site and products with very little effort:

Many Thanks BitsDuJor and Lokas Software

Mark Johnson Does the included software allow for editing/using/resizing the vector files?
If not, what software would be required for that?

Hawkeye I noticed AWiconsPro hasn't been updated in awhile, 2.5 years. Has this been tested with Windows 7, x64? I have found a few major issues, listed below.

1. Program Crashes when searching for Objects.
2. Issues with when opening a JPG to create an icon.

When searching, by clicking on the Search Object, I immediately get a a window that AWicons 10.3 has stopped working, everytime.

Event: AppCrash
Fault Module Name: StackHash_abcc
Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0

If I try to open an icon and then click on Search Object, it will then attempt to get build the icons in the Search Object window. More times than not, it will crash like the above, with the following.

Event: AppCrash
Fault Module Name: AWiconsPro.exe
Fault Module Version: 10.3.0.0

Display Issues when opening a JPG
When loading, a JPG of small image, the image loads fine, but all you see is the upper left hand portion of the image. It would be hard to edit. It appears, the icon is fine when saving and looks fine. However, when you try to reload it, all you see is the upper left portion of the image again.

Config Info: Windows 7 SP1 x64 - Fully Updated

Can you comment on the above issues. I haven't tested the program further than what is being reported, above. When will a new version be released?

Thanks,
