Dunking Could the license for this version be clarified, please. The fine print looks like it applies to a £0 version (no support, updates cost, update will overwrite licenset, etc) and I don't want to splash nearly £20 on what's essentially a promo version.

214738 User I asked the same question on the last 40% sale but got no answer and then the sale was over.
Still no answer...
The normal price of 30$ is the lifetime license but fineprint says "Upgrades to future versions of the software will require additional payment".
The shop cart says "SUMo - Lifetime Licence".
Looks like the fineprint is hardcoded to the 1 year upgrade license and doesn't change when the page is offering the lifetime license.
Can we get the fine print for the lifetime license please?

SUMo doesn't download and install any updates, it only shows if there is a new update available for installed software.
It can only auto-update itself with the pro version.
When you click "get update" it only opens the main webpage of the software and you have to find the download and install everything on you own.

Not a problem for me - auto-update and auto-fetch would be the first things I turned off if they were an option!
But I agree the description is misleading, so much so that the assumption it would do those things is a big reason for me ignoring it before. (I realise I might be unique in this view, but it's what's kept my PC working for many years without regular reinstalls.)

Constantin Florea @Dunking, I am sorry for the delay in replying about this matter. We just heard back from the vendor and we also updated the license policy for this discounted deal. The major changes to the license policy are as follows:
- Upgrades to future versions of the software will be free for the lifetime of the product.
- Support is provided for the lifetime of the product.
