Robert Crombie Hi, Regarding your program
Does your program have a command line interface ? Such an interface allows you to call (execute) the program, whilst passing instructions such as - Convert all PDFs in folder C:\PDFs\ Into JPGs Placing the JPGs into folder C:\JPGs\ It would be nice if it could delete each PDF after it is converted to JPG
Similar functionality could also be provided WITHOUT using the command line. That would entail the program having some settings where, we tell it where the PDFs folder is (to watch), and where the output JPGs folder is, and the program can be told to run minimized, and keep watching the PDFs folder. Meaning every time the program sees PDFs (in the PDFs folder), it converts them into JPGs (into the JPGs folder) automatically. It would delete the PDFs after it has converted them.

HJ B 1. Registration process is poorly designed. The developer should get one or two people to register, without prompting, and it will be clear that the registration process and pages should be modified.

2. I eventually did get it registered. I am viewing the program on a standard desktop monitor, and the text of the program is much too small. When working with a document program, the user should never have to strain to see the menu items. Unless you can tell me how to make the menu text larger (without causing other programs on my computer to have inappropriately large text) I will not be using this program.

3. Complements on the pdf manual. Many developers on BDJ do not have the capability or insight to create a proper manual.

4. When using the search function, this program displays all of the finds in the left margin, and that is good. Adobe Acrobat has permits the lists of "finds" to be printed. Acrobat also has the ability to do such searches across multiple documents. It would be very useful if this program had the same capabilities.

5. Complements on the text editing capability of the program. Very much like editing a document in a word processor. Same for the search and replace function.

Paul Kelly If you can get past the aggravating and confusing registration process, this seems like a nice program. But it is 1 year license. Looking at the pricing on their web site, I think I'll uninstall it. Subscription model is too expensive.

OLIN I downloaded it, installed it, tried to register on the www, but no confirmation email with the account creation code came through at all ... so I uninstalled the program and flew the hell away! Don't bother us with software that is problematic and where the only result is a waste of our time! And this is all software where registration is so complicated as to be virtually impossible! And I consider myself an IT expert, software specialist and programmer!

Thank you for your feedback. Are you referring to the text style in the top navigation bar or the secondary navigation bar? Alternatively, you might consider changing the background theme or adjusting the program appearance to enhance color contrast. Currently, SwifDoo PDF offers various themes, including Classic Mode, Dark, Eye-protection, and so on (View > Theme). As for appearance options, you can choose from System Default, Windows Classic, Black, or White (Settings > Appearance).

If you find the font size of the navigation bar to be small while using it, we recommend using SwifDoo PDF in full-screen mode for the best experience.

1. The policy of licensing per computer and not per user is a deal breaker for me. Nowadays, all working professionals have at least a desktop and a laptop and most software vendors allow two installations per license for this reason.
2. Also, I agree that all text, buttons, etc. in SwifDoo PDF are too small, why not make them bigger? I work on a 4K monitor, it is really difficult to read.
3. And finally, it would be a good idea to allow prospective customers to try all functions of the software for a few days. I have just installed the trial version and it already says that the trial has expired the first time I ran it! Do you expect me to pay for a software title without first checking that it can actually do what it says it does? Like edit a .pdf file?

Skylly @Brian Westeman Yes, you can change the bound device. There are two scenarios: The lifetime license can be activated while logged in or while not logged in, as long as the license is linked to your account and device. You can rebind the device after changing it.
However, if the lifetime license was activated while not logged in, you won’t be able to switch devices with that license. So please make sure to log into your account before activation.

Skylly @lisba f Hi, the navigation bar and auxiliary navigation bar can be enlarged. You can find this option in Settings under Layout and then Scaling. You can enlarge it to 100%, match the system scale, or set it to 150%, etc. Hope this helps resolve your issue.

Features such as PDF Translation (Quick Translation), OCR for scanned PDFs (accessible under the "Edit" tab or by uploading a scanned PDF, where SwifDoo PDF will prompt if OCR is needed), and batch PDF processing (simply click on any function you'd like to perform, such as "PDF to Word," to open an operation box where multiple files can be added for batch conversion) are all part of this service.

Chong User I just bought the 2 PC license. I have installed it in one of my laptops and "registered" / activated by way of the SwifDoo Login. I can see a perpetual license in my account. For each PC license, how do I unbind my current (1st) laptop to move my license to another (2nd) laptop/PC? Also in order to bind the new (2nd) laptop/PC, do I also login within SwifDoo program in the new (2nd) machine and re-activate (with the same activation code)? I understand that I am allowed 2 PC/machines (because of my 2nPC license). Thank you.

1. Log in to activate the license: In this option, you need to log into your account to use the PRO features.
2. Activate the license directly without logging in: Here, the license will be directly linked to your device, allowing you to use the PRO features without needing to log in.

We offer after-sales support for both options. However, with the second option, if you activate the license without logging in, we won't be able to assist with transferring the license to a new device if you need to switch devices later.

The license binds to both the device and the account, whether you activate it via the client or on the website. If the activation occurs on the same device, it will recognize it as a single device.

If you have a 1-PC license, log into your account on that device to activate the license.
With a 2-PC license, you can activate the license by logging into your account on one device, and then simply log into your account on a second device to use the PRO features.

If you need to change devices, please ensure you activate the license after logging into your account first. Then, send your account information to skylly@swifdoo.com for assistance.

fpi fpi I tested the translation of a text selection in a document, this is possible without constraint.
However, the translation of files (like PDF ...) is not without limit, since it is charged per token.
Like all AI utilities, we pay for use which is a real financial income for the seller. But is it profitable for the user? The working time saved can provide an answer. But the commercial propaganda is not very clear!
No perpetual use license only a monthly or annual package that we will have to remember to unsubscribe if you no longer use it because the billing renews automatically.
Like all AI utilities, you pay for a usage quota not to be exceeded, and it's a real financial income for the seller.
So, SwifDoo AI, uses an OEM license of “ChatGPT”.
But who is your biggest OEM reseller?

I have some serious questions that I need to ask you about both your software and your company. [ I do not intend any personal offense with my questions, and hope that you will not be offended by them. ]

Under current Chinese law, especially since the passage last year of the new espionage law, your company is required to cooperate completely with Chinese intelligence services (which also appears to include the local police in your province).

So:
1) Will you please explain what data about us that your company collects and stores, regarding the account that we create when registering with your company.

2) Some of the previous commenters complained about how much time that your app spent "phoning home," and that your app would not work without this communication with your server. Would you please explain what information is being transferred during this communication with your server?

3) Are there any functions of your app (regardless of the OS that it runs under), other than the ChatGPT-enabled AI functionality, that requires the sending of the PDFs that we would be working with to your company?

4) Can the Android and iOS versions of your app fully edit/convert a PDF file, or only annotate them?

5) What is the current price for your Android/iOS apps? (On the Google Play Store, it appears that your app is free. Is this still the case?)

6) Does the ChatGPT-enabled AI functionality require transmitting our documents through your server to ChatGPT, or do they go directly to OpenAI's servers?

The fact that you have continued to both offer your software here on BDJ while continuing to improve its functionality, as well as the BDJ team continuing to work with your company, gives me a degree of confidence in your professional intentions as an entrepreneurial company. HOWEVER, neither Chinese law, or the CCP, care about your company's intentions to act with integrity. It is for these reasons that I have posed my above questions.
