Bruce Fraser ABBYY Screenshot Reader does the same thing in Windows.
I've used it for years, and it's excellent.
I don't know why, but they almost always have a free version somewhere on the internet. A quick search turned up this one: https://sharewareonsale.c...eebie-sale.

y x I'm a bit confused which version is given away!?! Just the one for mac?
Because on the registration page - after successful registration - I can also download the win version. Is this one also OK for the registration process then?
Thx for the info!

Constantin Florea @y x, We had this product as being available for Mac since the very beginning (when we added it to our site) however it seems that at some point the product was made available for Windows as well. This promotion page is now updated to reflect this (that the product is available for both Mac and Windows).

Jerry Voletto I downloaded the file and entered the correct info required. But, I do not have the email with the registration key(s).
What's up with that?

Mar 6 2022 at 12:27pm Copy Link

2

Jerry Voletto The advertisement for this program says once it is registered I would get a key for up to 10 other computers to installl the program and register it. I went through the entire process and have not received any other keys. What is my next step?

Alex Ferri You install the software on the computers and request keys this way:

JJ Menning It's been almost 2 hours since I registered for the license after installing the software. Still no emailed license. I've checked my SPAM filter and my Outlook Inbox several times. Does PCWinsoft know what's going on?

JJ Menning It is going on 6 hours now that the license key had not been sent after installing the program and requesting it according to the example video shown by pcwinsoft.com. As well, the request has been made 2 additional times. My Junk filter is empty. What is going on?

John I just purchased a lifetime upgrade license for PDF Text OCR Xtractor from BitsDuJour and am unable to register it. Online I never received a return email with the code, offline my emails are returned with the error "Unknown user." Wondering if this company a scam?

Constantin Florea @John User, I've just contacted the vendor regarding the issue you mentioned as he will be able to better help with the issue you mention.

In case of this purchase, it is the vendor who needs to send you the registration information.

John This Giveaway is supposed to be for the Text OCR Xtractor, but all the links, including the download link, are for the PDF Text OCR Xtractor. How do I get the Text OCR Xtractor download?

Nov 30 2025 at 5:24am Copy Link

Alex Ferri For those not receiving keys send an e-mail to pcwinsoft

ymail.com along with the HARDWARE-FINGERPRINT and the name you registered under and we will send you a KEY. Regarding the name of the software, PDF Text OCR Xtractor was previously called Text OCR Xtractor so itis the same software.

Sandra User Despite sending the email as Allex suggested, nothing has arrived.

It is really annoying as I already had this version installed as a previous giveaway, thinking that this was an updated version, only to find that it is the same version as the version that I already had installed but by installing this one, I now only have a limited trial version..

Sandra User @John, you will see your computer’s hardware fingerprint on the bit after you fill in your email address for them to send you the activation code.

Unfortunately despite me emailing PCwinsoft directly as Alex said yesterday, my code has still not arrived, so if it ever will arrive, or if it will actually work if it does arrive is unknown, as it may be out if the time allowed to register the program.

anonny User @Sandra User yes it can be annoying and damaging that BDJ do not publish the versions of the programs they are offering, maybe they'll take the requirement on board and do something about it in future offerings. As well as fix or work around the constant emailing problems their event suffer with.
