What are people saying about TidyTabs

eb235 I installed TidyTabs on Windows 8.1 (FR)
Once I understood how to make tabs appear, I enjoyed using it. As far as I can tell, the product does what it says and I'll probably buy my copy, given its low price and the large discount.

However I have big HOW-TO questions.
On TidyTabs web site, I read that :
-1- TidyTabs will guess by itself that some window types will never need tabs.
-2- But if that's not sufficient, you can easily specify which application should have tabs and which one should not.
-3- Two clicks are enough to add an application to the blacklist or to the whitelist.

While point -2- is true, I have problems with
point -1- : on start, it seems that TidyTabs guess that **all** applications don't need tabs. I had to add explorer and other apps to the whitelist to make tabs appear !
point -3- : the only way I found to whitelist an app is to click on the TidyTabs icon in the tray, then click on the exclusions tab (no pun intended), then open a file dialog and go to Program Files or at least write the name of the executable file when I knew it (like explorer.exe), then not forget to click on the + button and click on OK or Apply. I didn't count but that's much, much more than two clicks and I think it would be bothersome for the average end user to go such a lengthy way.

Last comment : it seems that an explorer tab can only go with other explorer tabs but I did succeed in mixing tabs from different apps (namely irfanview and notepad).

Did I miss something ? Or... ?

Nurgo It seems that you set the exclusion mode to "whitelist", it's why you have to add each application to the whitelist to make tabs appear. If you want to have tabs on (almost) all your apps by default, please use the "blacklist" mode. You will then be able to blacklist an app by right clicking on its tab and choosing "Exclude", which makes exactly two clicks :-)
You should be able to mix explorer tabs with any other apps, but remember that the free version is limited to 3 tabs per group, so make sure that you entered your license key.

MK I have Extended Tab for Office but TidyTabs does similar but for all programs. It's a great program. You need to go through its menu to set it up properly but that's just a case of going down through your Program Files folder, finding the exe file and adding it to the list. 20 second job.
The tabs kind of disappear until you roll over them (unless I'm doing it wrong), but AquaSnap (companion program from the same developer) seems to overcome this and allows permanent display.
So as an example, I have 2 Word docs, EndNote X7 library, Chrome, PaintShop Pro and CintaNotes all running and easily accessible from tabs at the top of my screen, and all stable so far.
So buying a couple of licenses for both AquaSnap and TidyTabs through BDJ.

J S Hello, I think this program sounds very useful and what's more - affordable too.

I'm looking to buy multiple licenses for both TidyTabs AND AquaSnap (AquaSnap(?) because I think it can possibly do some things that ActualTools dot com's "Actual Window Manager" doesn't directly or easily do)

I do have a few questions:

Q#01: Do you have a known list of programs that TidyTabs -to date, WiLL NOT work with?

Q#02: Is it possible during the purchasing process, to transfer or 'GiFT' a License to a Family Member or Close Friend, OR, can this be done at a later time?

Reason I ask: Some Vendor payment systems eg. like FastSpring or AvanGate have an optional step that allows the user to edit Names or to GiFT Licenses before completion of order.

Q#03: I just want to confirm (as per the Bits-du-Jour "The Fine Print" tab information) that TidyTabs &/or AquaSnap do not require online (or email) activation for the license/product?

Reason I ask: A close family member (that I'd like to give a License for both products too), literally lives in the 'Australian Outback' hundreds of miles from the nearest town, where their landline telephone access is non-existent at worst to "intermittent" at best (there's no cell-phone access at all), so if the products DO require OLA then I wont buy Licenses for that sibling.
.

Many thanks, for your eagerly anticipated reply.

Nurgo Hello J S, thank you for your interest in our products!
Q#01: The only known software that doesn’t work with TidyTabs is XYplorer, but we will try to address this issue.
Q#02: Yes, just add &option=purchaser at the end of the URL when you are on the order page.
Q#03: Yes, the activation can be done offline.

JL Hello,

I have just purchased two copies of this great software and I would like to suggest some improvements:

1. TidyTabs’s tabs are really annoying in Chrome and Firefox when you have multiple tabs (web pages) in these web browsers and you have the windows maximized. Your program tabs appears over the web browser tabs. Could it be possible to let us choose where the tabs should appear in each program (when it is maximized, restored its previous size,...)? I mean, not just on the top of the windows but maybe on the left/right side or the bottom. It would be good to also be able to choose the exact place: top-left corner, left-top corner.

2. It would be good to be able to hide the combined windows from the Windows taskbar and replace them by something like TidyTabs Group 1, Group 2,...

3. It seems that TidyTabs does not work with the file properties window. Could this be fixed?

Best Regards

Zonwas Hi, having a little problem here, wanting to buy the program in Firefox and paying it with Paypall.

Every time after, on the page of purchase, having filled in all my personal data and chosen to buy 1 copy of Tidytabs with 0 copies of Aquasnap (I am having a license of it already), once clicked the "Next" link towards Paypall, something turns the number of copies of Aquasnap into 90 on that same page, calculating a the end a total to pay of >66€ ...

I've cleaned the cache of Firefox several times.
Any other tips? Txs! Eric

Nurgo Hello JL, thank you for your feedback!
1, 2) These are planned features.
3) Actually, only sizeable windows can be tabbed, as their size need to be changed to match the size of the tabbed group. It's why you can't have tabs on the file properties windows.

JL OK. Thanks Nurgo.

3. Now I understand the limitation.

I wanted to tab several file properties windows, so all of them have the same size and are not resizable.
Hope it could be possible to enable tabs for non-sizeable windows in future releases by maybe:

a. Limiting the tab feature to windows of the same program (same window size)

b. I do not know if it could be possible to make exceptions. All the sizeable windows share the same size in the same tabbed group but non-sizeable windows conserve its own when their tabs are selected.

Nurgo @JL This would be technically feasible, but we have to make sure that this isn't too confusing for the user and that it is not perceived as a bug. We will do some testing.

Ennovy I made an auto-grouping list (Pro version) with 3 titles but I can't get it to work.
TidyTabs (portable version) starts first and when I start the titles from the auto-grouping list they aren't gathered in a single tabbed group.
Windows 10 64bit

Thanks for TidyTabs and AquaSnap, great software!

Have a nice day, Peter

MK Compared to Extended Tabs, what is missing is the ability to save the group of files and associated tabs as a" Project" so that when you start-up your PC you can load all the programs and tabs in one go. There's a similar program called WindowsTabs (seems abandonedware) but a Save and restore window groups" feature is top of its "vote for a new feature".

Robert User When purchasing Tidy Tabs or AquaSnap, there is an option to add the other program for $8.10 (discounted from $9), however both programs are also available for $5.40 on Bitsdujour. It would be a better deal to purchase each one separately. The Bitsdujour offers do not use the term Professional, so I thought maybe since the word "Professional" is used in the Add-On offer, that there is a Professional version available, so I checked the developer website, but the developer website shows that the Professional Standard license is $9.00, the same shown as the full price on Bitsdujour.

If the $8.10 was intended as an incentive to purchase both programs for a total of $8.10, then the price makes sense, however where it is placed makes it look like the $8.10 is for adding the other program only, implying the total for both would be 5.40 +8.10 = $13.50 total. Why would a buyer do that when $5.40 for each would be $10.80 total?

Can the $8.10 price be explained?

H. H. @ vendor
Hallo,
not very amused
I bought aqua snap 5,40$ - also made sure that it was correct and saved the text in notepad
and had opened before annother tab for buying tidytab (from the bitsdujour page, I before had removed the addition from the order because it was not discounted) as a spererate purchase.
But - although only been shown the discounted purchase of aqua snap - in the order receipt - without any chance to make a correction I´m charged for aqua snap ´+ tidytab (undiscounted) - but tidy tab for 9§ I paid via visa.
Please tell me how I wil be refundet for the 4,6$ I´m charged too much.

Harry Stadman Great replacement for WindowTabs, wich is now discontinued. It had some problems with some applications. This one seems to work without any problems!

Great deal, get it!

One suggestion though:

Windowtabs put the tab immediatly behind the first tab(application) when you start another application. I would like to see this behavier also in Tidytabs, that way you don't have to drag them onto the next one.

Hello, it seems that you added both products to your cart, but as the system only accepts one coupon per order, the discount for TidyTabs hasn't been applied. It's preferable to purchase both products separately. I have performed a partial refund of your order.

Harry Stadman Maybe instead of a middle click, you can put a cross in the right corner to close the tab? As Windows does?

One other thing I notice, I have 7+ Taskbar Tweaker, wich has a feature where you can switch between applications via the mousewheel. This is blocked by TidyTabs! I hope to be able to use both methods at the same time in future.

Lito Bought this and it's a really great just like Aquasnap. :)

I didn't think I needed it since many of my programs have their own tab abilities, but after trying it out I found a really good use for it that is better outside of how tabs would work if done in the application itself. It also makes it so much easier to setup and use than the built in tabs of directory opus because the dopus gui gets cluttered.

One issue though it doesn't remember my groupings when you restart either of the programs (in my case directory opus which opens all the specified windows at start when tidytabs is running or tidytabs when it starts if dopus is already running with the windows I had grouped are open already).

I use directory opus and have several dopus.exe windows open but I set them up in a specific layout that I don't want to change except in the case of certain directories and dual pane windows that I want grouped together with tabs. Is there a way to save this kind of grouping? I am looking at the options and it seems to group in an all or nothing approach. For now the work around is to just redo up the groupings every time I start. Thankfully tidytabs makes this easy to do but I'd much rather have it automated. :)

Gary Smith @Nurgo,
Re: "Professional" versions.
The BitsduJour versions are not identified as Professional versions, however the $9 is the same as the developer website Professional version. Are buyers of Aqua Snap and Tidy Tabs from BitsduJour getting the Professional versions? Also, both programs were offered for $5.40 on BitsduJour. When buying either, an offer was shown to get the other for $8.10, which is more than the $5.40. The $8.10 still has not been explained. Please explain.

LU I have used TidyTabs for a while now. This is a pretty good concept. I actually use the portable version and it works well for me.

Granted, I don't use Outlook so I cannot comment on that one.

However, I do use Microsoft Word and I am able to tab two different Windows together. I am also able to use it for my File Explorer Windows. It also works when I tab Opera Browser and Chrome together.

If I can suggest one thing to the developer. That is to allow the user to place the Tabs on the left, right, top, or bottom of the Windows. Here is why. When I have several tabs open in my browsers, and then move the mouse to the top to use TidyTabs, it sometimes covers up my browser tabs. Unfortunately, this is counter productive. So if I could move the TidyTabs to the left or right of the Window screen going in a vertical position, it would be much more beneficial.

Nurgo Hi NormUser, when you start TidyTabs, a small icon should appear in the tray notification area, at the bottom right of your screen. This icon permits you to access the TidyTabs settings. By default, the ungrouped tabs are hidden and should only appear when you approach the mouse cursor. You can group tabs by dragging one tab onto another. carl thorpe I bought this last time it was on BDJ. I love this little program.

I mainly use it to group a bunch of PuTTY windows together when working on my various servers. It does what it claims, and it stays out of the way until you need it.

Well worth the price if you work with a lot of windows at the same time.

Kelly Hamblin For some reason - maybe someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong - the text on the inactive tab disappears, so I can't tell what other files are available.

Nurgo Hi g harris, here are the answer to your questions:
- You should be able to detach a grouped window by grabbing it by its tab and moving it away from the group.
- The tab reordering is disabled in the free edition, it will be enabled as soon as you enter your license key.
- The trial mode only lasts 60 minutes, but you can re-enable it after restarting TidyTabs.
- Regarding the user manual, I accept your proposal ;-)

Don User Hi - I installed the trial to see if it would work as noted. I found the app does work with more common windows like file explorer and office apps. But I use an application called Treepad Business Edition. I routinely open 5 or more Treepad Business file windows and TidyTabs will not work with these windows. When I hover where most other apps have tabs, these do not. They are resizable and each window opens in it's own process. Are there any known applications that TidyTabs does not work with? I would like to purchase a pro license during this deal. Any suggestions as to how to get the app to work with Treepad Business Edition V8? Thanks
Jun 15 2017 at 7:22am Copy Link

Nurgo @Don User
To avoid compatibility issues, TidyTabs don't try to interact with applications that have a non-standard window handling. These applications are quite uncommon and are often old applications. But we will see if we can do something about Treepad.
Nurgo Software - Jun 15 2017 at 7:32am Copy Link

Don User If you can get it to work with Treepad, I would happily pay the normal price for the application. I wasn't aware that Treepad had a 'non-standard' window handling. I have been using it for 10 plus years and it has always worked flawlessly on each new version of Windows. Thanks

g harris Here's my experience --

#1) even though the Trial says full functionality,
it converts to "Personal", which means NO re-ordering or splitting off.

Once key is entered, then full functionality is there - I Love it!

Suggestion - let the Trial be Truly Pro for 60 minutes --
even after 1st run!!

#2) There is a major conflict w/ "Actual Window Manager" --
even after entering my paid key, AWM prevented TidyTabs
from re-ordering or splitting into single tabs.

AWM is a super-wonderful piece of kit -- & you know this if you run it.

However - its hooks are so deep into effective kernel mode,
that it often causes known conflicts w/ other software -- in my experience --
with Sandboxie and VirtualBox (but not VMWare!) in particular.

So, I disabled AWM from TidyTabs, and likewise I excluded all 4 TidyTabs
executables in AWM. Now what happens is that w/ AWM running,
then re-ordering tabs is possible -
IF I CAREFULLY SLIDE THE TAB HORIZONTALLY,

but splitting tabs to singles still doesn't work.

All-in-all = Happy. For the price of 1 gourmet coffee? c'mon, Man!

Kelly Hamblin @Don User

I use TreepadX Enterprise, and noticed that no Tidy Tabs attach to it. However, my version of Treepad comes with its own version of tabs - a sidebar w/choice of databases. Maybe your TP version is different?

Tidy Tabs do not appear on any of my applications that already have their own tabs. This is the way I would expect it to work.

Don User Hi Kelly - I also have a license to Treepad X Enterprise, however I have Treepad business edition databases that are very large. If I try to import them into X, they grow to truly amazing sizes due to all the graphics and attachments. In business they DB may be 500MB, in X it bloats to 5GB when imported. So I am kind of stuck with Business for now. There are also advantages to using the business edition that you don't get with X. Thanks for your suggestion though! Appreciated. I did find a freeware program called WindowsTabs that does work with Treepad Business Edition. Best regards...

Sara User Important question to developer and real users:

Even the original price of TidyTabs is very low, so if this really works, it's an incredible steal.

MS Office 2016 (and earlier versions, of course) comes without tabs (or similar, ie file list in sidebar or the like), which can be a nightmare, so I only use MS software when it's absolutely necessary.

When you google "ms office tabs", you get links to an Office add-in from some Chinese developer and which costs around 30, 40, 50 dollars, depending on the site / their url you buy it from (them) and for how many Office applications you want it (just Word, Excel, etc., or then also Project, Visio and such).

Reviews say it considerably slows down the load process of these MS applications, but that when they run, the slowing-down by the add-in, while always there, becomes acceptable.

Considering the price of 40$ plus VAT for the add-in (for it to work with all of the MS Office applications), and the fact that it's an add-in, so I have had some fears that it would possibly break something in my Office installations after de-install of the trial then, I never trialled that add-in which I consider expensive (only) because of the slow-down which comes with it.

Now back to TidyTabs:

A similar slow-down (but not an even more severe one) would be fully acceptable here, considering the - really "incomparable" price, AND if it's all stable, meaning the interaction with those Office applications and no futile discussions whether for possible problems in that interaction, the culprit may be either TidyTabs OR Office.

Hence:
- Does TidyTabs work without stability problems with all MS Office 2016 applications (2016), or at least with Word/Excel? (Even that would be acceptable, considering the incredible price.)

- Ditto for speed: General, or specific problems with some Office applications, and as before, ok at least with Word/Excel?

- Any ideas why the specific Office add-in mentioned above is 3-5 times the price of (original-priced) TidyTabs, except for "price policy", ie is there some factor I have overlooked?

- For example, I suppose that both programs are able to display different Office applications within the same tab line (ie can mix Word and Excel windows for example, not just either Word OR Excel windows)?

Comments from the developer, and from real users?

If TidyTabs is nearly as performant as the above-mentioned Office add-in, then the google results could really be called biased since with all their AI, they should be able to "get" that the user searching for Office tabs will also be interested in a tool that "does" tabs for Office, albeit not exclusively.

- Does TidyTabs work without stability problems with all MS Office 2016 applications (2016), or at least with Word/Excel? (Even that would be acceptable, considering the incredible price.)

Yes, TidyTabs works well with all MS Office 2016 applications.

- Ditto for speed: General, or specific problems with some Office applications, and as before, ok at least with Word/Excel?

TidyTabs is composed of highly optimized native code, with no compromise on stability and performance. It uses very little memory and nearly no CPU.

Rajeev Rohatgi I have exactly the same request as Robert W's (above) -- please provide "an option to reflect the Tabbing process on the Task Bar – so that All the Windows/programs, which have been group into a Single tabbed Window, would just show up as a Single item on the Task Bar" .

I'm already a user of TidyTabs, and I really need this feature to reduce space on my Task Bar.

Moreover, it would be a major advantage over new competitors such as Groupy.

carl thorpe I've been using TidyTabs since I bought it here on BDJ back in January of 2017. I am not affiliated with the developer of TidyTabs or BDJ in any way.

I really like TidyTabs. It's one of those programs that I use so much that I often forget that it isn't a built in feature of Windows. When I have to work on a computer that isn't mine, I frequently find myself trying in vain to use TidyTabs' features.

Unless I am actively using it, I don't even know it is running. There does not seem to be any impact on day-to-day performance whether I am grouping programs with tabs or if it is just running in the background doing nothing.

When I am using it, it is great. I group PuTTY windows together when I am working across multiple servers for development. I group multiple different browsers together when working on websites for testing. I even group multiple instances of my file manager together to have quick access to multiple directories.

You can have completely different programs grouped together. You could have Word, Excel, Chrome, Adobe Acrobat, and Notepad together, for example.

I really like that I can configure it to automatically group windows of specific programs. For example, I have it set up that every PuTTY window I open is automatically grouped together with every other PuTTY window I have open.

On very rare occasions, I have had TidyTabs crash. I can't even begin to come up with a number of times that it has happened, as it is so rare. When it does crash, it does not appear to cause any system instability and I just restart it and go back to work.

Alexander Deliyannis @ Carl Thorpe: many thanks for sharing your experience!

@ Nurgo: Just purchased. What a brilliant little application! I've used Office Tabs, but the ability to group different programmes together opens a whole new realm of possibilities, which I don't know if you've even considered.

Aside saving space and tidying one's desktop, TidyTabs can probably help in task focus, by grouping together windows based on what task they are for.

I believe this could be greatly augmented by the feature suggested by Robert W and Rajeev Rohatgi, i.e. each group of tabs to appear as a single item in the task bar.

Re the price; as noted by Sara, this is a bargain. I note however that the software is licensed by machine, not by user, so at the original (not reduced) price, it can become quite expensive. A user accustomed to TidyTabs would want to have it in all their machines.

g harris I second carl thorpe - just a wonderful wonderful app!!

but I'm also w/ Tim User, and I wrote the TidyTabs team about this --

PLEASE expose a keyboard shortcuts API so we can use it in this manner,
or bind it to things like AHK & StokeIt (or whatever mouse gesture you use).

One more thing -- I'm always curious why coders MUST make their apps
'phone home' incessantly -- especially when - IN REALITY - updates aren't likely to happen very frequently? This little (PAID FOR !!) app bangs away on my firewall multiple times a day :) ... and if you're a "computer-pet" owner like me,
NO, you're NOT gonna let the pet out whenever it wants to go ;)

thx

Sara User The core thing of interest here (besides that even all updates are included in the price, etc.) is the fact that TidyTabs puts the tabs ABOVE the application window(s)* so that you can combine files of several applications into some "project", e.g. some MS Excel files AND some other files pertinent to them, e.g. some MS Word file(s), and so on. (Such "projects", "file groups" or whatever you'd call them, are not persistent yet, though, so this functionality should be added in some update.)

The "Tabs for Office" by extendoffice.com, which I mentioned above, on the other hand, put the tabs WITHIN the respective MS Office application, between the ribbon and the data*

(you can also buy subsets, i.e. "Tabs for Excel/Word/etc"., since "Tabs for Office (complete or just for the "Home" Office applications) are just supersets for not having to buy all of these tools one-by-one),

which means that with that these "competing" tools (incl. the ones which have "Office" in their name), you can NOT build up a file set including files depending on SEVERAL MS applications, let alone files from non-MS-Office applications: It's just several MS Excel files/workbooks OR several MS Word files, etc., not some "integrating" combination of those; these - obviously much lesser - extendoffice file sets are not persistent either afaik.

* = This difference also explains the fact that the extendoffice tools come with slowing down your applications while TidyTabs does not.

So it becomes evident now that even beyond extendoffice's much higher prices and limitation to MS applications, there's a BIG advantage of TidyTabs over its "competitor".

While, as said, some "project management", i.e. a list of stored, and then re-loadable file sets, in some (free) update, would make TidyTabs perfect, there is no other "competitor" currently afaik, so at 5.40 per pc, TidyTabs, even in its current shape, is some incredible steal indeed.

Gary Mugford I bought a pro licence back in 2017 because the price was right and the work experience enhancements promised to be pretty worthwhile. I COULD have tried the free version as a preview, but I didn't. The price was almost inconsequential and OF COURSE the product would work.

Probably does on most Windows 7 computers. I use multiple monitors and UltraMon to handle them. UltraMon is indispensable. TidyTabs does not work on my computer. I could have confirmed UltraMon was the guilty party, since it has additions to title captions in the form of monitor swapping buttons. But why bother? The product didn't work and I wasn't going to spend hundreds of dollars of time trying to reclaim a few bucks.

NOT TidyTabs' job to make it work on everything. So, no blame to Nurgo. But be aware that any software you use that meddles with title captions PROBABLY is going to interfere with this product. And I write this after upgrading to the latest available to re-confirm my earlier findings. Too bad. I'd have liked to make this work. Maybe on Win 10 with a different multiple monitor setup? Don't know. But I'll give it a try when I'm finally forced to give up my current computer for something new and spiffy.

Adolphe I just bought Tidy Tabs after trying it, and trying Aqua Snap as well. I would like the developer to know how much I appreciate the philosophy behind those two programs (which reflects on his website, by the way). It's not often I make such compliments, and I try a lot of software. Useful, simple, fast and well explained.

I hope some day he will move on from the Windows 8 aesthetics of Tidy Tabs, but that's a very minor gripe.

V M I just tried ordering this software using Paypal and the company that takes the order said my order did not take and that they will get back to me soon. My concern is that they will not get back to me until tomorrow and I will lose the discount.

May I ask you to look into this please?

Tim User Question: will Tidy Tabs ever be updated to support keyboard shortcuts? I've been waiting for over a year for a definitive timeline other than "real soon now". Thank you.

Adolphe I agree the program should, optionally, remember tabs sets between sessions. You can ask all documents opened by the same program to be automatically tabbed together, but if your job requires mixing documents from different programs, you need to re-associate your windows each time you start your computer again.

Also, in some cases, the in-window tabs hinder access to the window commands (minimise, make full-screen, close).

V M Hi,
I tried once again to order Tidy Tabs, actually I have tried three times now. Fastspring in response to the first two failed attempts told me to delete my cookies and reopen the browser which I did twice and still I arrived at a fastspring, com window telling me there was a processing error. After three emails fastspring they told me it was a PayPal problem. I have ordered before on BitsDuJour without issue. Is there some other way to order without going through fastspling?

Steven Avery Thanks. Just downloaded the demo, looked at the video, and purchased!

Registration very smooth, best I have seen.

I had been wondering how to get a good program to show me which Task Manager programs were really active (e.g. the ones that are windows could be colored differently) but this is a more top-down approach! Very sensible.

Aquasnap I had tried out a while back, and passed on it. Now, with the tabs, would it have much purpose?

Very nice clear program and design, Nurgo! Thanks.

RS This is a great app--far more reliable than Stardock's alternative and a lot cheaper then the one which only tabs Microsoft Office apps. I've been using it for years.

However, in the recent update, I've noticed that it will corrupt the images on the screen and in the taskbar--a problem that stops as soon as you exit the program. At first, I thought it might be its companion app, Aquasnap, but trial and error proved it wasn't it. So I trust that Nurgo jumps on this issue, as is its practice.

Trust me, for $9 you won't be disappointed.

Nurgo Hi A B, this is for TidyTabs Professional Edition. The tabs are hidden by default and only appear when you mouse-over them. You can make them always visible by unchecking "Automatically hide single tabs" in the settings.

njf I have installed the trial version before buying. I like the look of it and have experimented with Acrobat. I have three tabs but I still have three separate Acrobat items in the Taskbar. I was hoping that, using tabs in the app, would declutter the Taskbar. Is that possible?

Nurgo Hi njf, this is a feature that we would like to implement, unfortunately Microsoft does not provide an API to manipulate the taskbar in this way. It could be done with a dirty hack, but this solution would be very glitchy and could break with each new version of Windows.

Doug Lietz After I have created a TidyTabs Group, is there a way to open that group so that all of the tabs launch together with one click? Or do I always have to open each item/app individually?

I could not find a way to do that in the (pro) trial version I am testing... so my follow up workflow question would be... once I have set up the collection of items/apps/documents/browsertabs/etc that I want in a TidyTabs Group, can I go to that "list" somewhere in TidyTabs and click/open each one from there? At least then I could do all of my opening/launching from one convenient location, right in TidyTabs.

Kevin User Can you make the size of TABS bigger? It's so small that it's hard to click it on 4K screen. The best way is to make the size customizable.

Nurgo Hi Doug, There is unfortunately no way to relaunch a saved group, because under Windows, there is no clear and unique correspondence between a window and an application. Many applications can open several types of windows. It is therefore impossible for TidyTabs to know which command line to execute to automatically open all your windows after a restart.

But we plan to allow the user to associate each saved group with a small script to automatically launch the corresponding applications. This will allow you to quickly reopen a previously saved group.
