Dave Schmarder TopStyle 4 is one of the most used programs on my computer. I am a hobbyist website developer (I don't get paid). I started with Homesite in 1996, then bought TopStyle in 2002. If you like hand coding, do yourself a favor and look at TopStyle 4!

When Homesite was abandoned, I thought I was going to have a lot of trouble finding the next program. When I saw that Stefan had picked up TopStyle 4 and was continuing development, I purchased TopStyle 4 and I have wasn't disappointed. Stefan is a friendly fellow too.

Try the trial version and see if it is for you. It is for me.

Mitchel Haas Whether you're a serious website developer or one that just has their own website, this is an indispensable tool. The amount of CSS information at your fingertips this software supplies is worth the price alone, let alone the great functionality is provides. With all the organized CSS information you can get from TopStyle at your disposal, it's like getting a free online CSS manual with the software.

I too first tried TopStyle when I first started using HomeSite, which TopStyle integrates with nicely. Although I no longer use HomeSite, I find that TopStyle is just as helpful using it as a stand alone application.

The functionality of the software is also nice. And, since it's been around for quite a while, it's solid as a rock. If you're still coding your stylesheets by hand, you're at a huge disadvantage. Give this software a try and see how much more productive it will make you in your CSS work.

In other words: updates to 4.x versions are free, and whenever TopStyle 5 is released, you can upgrade for only $29.

TopStyle Support In the output preview pane, TopStyle supports Internet Explorer, Mozilla Gecko, or Apple WebKit. There's a button on the preview pane toolbar (labelled "preview options") that allows you to switch between these layout engines. Alternatively, there's a full screen preview (F12) that allows you to preview these layout engines side-by-side.

It was actually because I had to install XULRunner to get the preview with Mozilla Gecko working.
I also saw that I have to install Safari 3.2.3 or to downgrade it to this version to get the Apple WebKit working, is it something that you are going to change in the future to be able to use a more recent version of Safari.

And what about Firefox internal previews without the need to install XULRunner?
