Yuri Kobets Text Accelerator is designed for text processing mostly. It can be used to insert text snippets but True Paste make this work much better. I'll try to add the Text Accelerator.

Hawkeye Based on that the program is approximately 2 years old and is at version 1.0, I have a few questions.

1. Is there a help file available?
2. According to the website, there is a portable version available. How can you download the portable version?

As a test, I tried to create a chunk that included the following to test the key capabilities.
A. Open a Run Command Window
B. Enter "Explorer" at the prompt and insert the key [Enter] to run Explorer.

To open the run command window, I have tried [WINDOW][R] and [WINDOW]+[R] and neither work as expected. Can this be done?

Are the keys limited to the keys in the dropdown menu ONLY? If so, that is a big limitation.

A help file or a sample file would go a long way in explaining the usage of the program.

I'm interested in the program but I need to insert more keys than what is in the dropdown menu.

Please advise.

Amit I have downloaded the trial but am not able to use the software. I mean, to paste the snippets, all softwares like these allow to press a few words like dqt and the long snippet associated with that short dqt in the software appears in the active window. but here in this program, I am not able to assign the short trigger as dqt. is this feature available in this software of assigning short triggers or the only way to paste long text is by bringing the software's window and selecting snippet then clicking etc.
and if this short trigger feature is not present can it be added soon, because otherwise this program looks very useful ? thanks,

1. Sorry, currently True Paste does not have a help file.
2. Portable version is here: http://www.tordex.com/dow...rtable.zip

To run explorer try this text:
[WINDOW][*R]explorer[ENTER]

Small tip:
If you want to send the key pressing R type [*R] - this is valid for any other keys. For example "[SHIFT][*E]xplorer[ENTER]" will paste Explorer.

@Amit, when you create the new chunk/snippet you can give it the short name. When the True Paste window is activated just begin typing (the Find field is active on open) and when the chunks list (at the right) shows your snippet (already selected) press ENTER to paste it. Usually you don't need click something. If you have too many snippets, group them by tags and type "#tag name" in the find field.

Also I can recommend to set the hot key to open the True Paste (I'm using WINDOWS+INSERT).

Amit So the short triggers as typing just short form like dqt, will this feature will be added into this program soon. as without this it becomes too much hassle to insert the snippets for users who use large amount of snippets. this feature can be added, by a feature request, I will buy the program at bitsdujour ? Mary Wilson I downloaded to try it as there are short text that I like to use like a e-mail address. Not sure this will work as I can't figure it out how to use the program. Went to website to look for information on using the program and found nothing. Came here and found there is no help function. Since I can't seem to figure this out, I will not purchase. To bad as it looks like it might be a good program. Really wish there was something that would show me how to use this program.

Hawkeye @Yuri, Thanks for the feedback. I can see the differences why it didn't work. I'm curious, without any help file or info from the website, how is one supposed to figure out how to use the program and/or input the right info?

FYI, Mary Wilson, is also having problems because of the lack of documentation. You may lose a lot sales just because of the lack of documentation, regardless how good the program really is.

This is the first program, from your company, that I have looked at or tested. I hope the trend of no documentation doesn't extend to all your programs.

Seriously, is True Paste, considered to be an active product after 2 years of being dormant?

If it will pass my tests, I plan on buying basically for the keystrokes. I will do some testing and let you know my results.

Mary Wilson When was this product last updated? Could not find it on website. So why should I purchase this if there is no support? Is this program still supported? In addition, How can I get it to stay on the icon bar? It keeps disappearing! Can you put this on the True Launch Bar? I see the trial you can use it for up to 15 clips. So how many clips does it hold? I would look these and other questions I have in the help section that you have on your website as there is still no help section in the program, but there is nothing in your help section on the web. I mentioned that due to no help I was not purchasing from you the last time it was on BitsDuJour over a year ago. Still no help section on Website on how to get this program to work up to its true capacity. So how do you get the most of the program if you can't get or look up what the program can or can't do.

Yuri Kobets True Paste is supported. There are no updates because it works.I have to remove the empty Help section. True Paste is really simple.Just add the texts you type frequently into list (+ icon). In the settings you can set the hotkey (I use Win+Insert).
