You want a greater level of information security for your files, but the majority of your data is stored on USB external storage and you don’t have to time to go encrypting each file. Take the express lane to security with today’s discount software promotion, USB Safe Guard!

USB Safe Guard transforms general USB storage into secure encrypted storage, including passwords, Internet connection requirements, and expiration dates. With USB Safe Guard, you don’t have to worry about protecting individual files and folders on a USB – just secure the entire device!

Best of all, USB Safe Guard lets you set different passwords for Read/Write and Read-Only. Best of all, you can require that the user be connected to the Internet in order to access the USB for an added layer of protection!

USB Safe Guard - can create 5 secure USBs ($129)

Mike Shanahan Just to be sure I understand... under “Features” it says “*Require Internet Connections to view files.” It appears that is an option ONLY. I don’t actually have to be online to do anything - is that correct? Because, it says “online activation required”...I guess to make sure nobody secures more than two USB drives with the $13.50 license. But I don’t understand - does this require online activations for both USB drives? I’m not interested - at all - in using the Internet-related features. But it looks like you monitor how many USB drives I secure? I ask, because honestly, why do you care how many USB drives I secure if I’m only using the software client-side without internet? Also, I see only one mention of encryption. This does create *encrypted* space, correct? What kind of encryption is used? I would appreciate a response to my questions before purchase. Thank you!

xSecuritas User Hi Mike.

Thank you for interest out products.

You're right,
Internet connection is required when creating "Secure USB". (This is for license management.)

And when creating "Secure USB", you have the option to use "Internet connection required".

The advantages of using "Internet connection required" are as follows.
1. Password is stored in the web server.
2. You can track usage history when using USB.
3. If you lose your USB, you can immediately dispose of it. (Therefore, it makes recovery impossible.)
4. If the Internet is not connected, USB cannot be used.

If "Internet connection required" is not used
1. The password is stored in encrypted form on the USB.
(The storage location is Hidden partition.)
2. No internet connection required when using USB.

The contents related to encryption are as follows.
1. We use the AES 256 algorithm.
2. When saving a file on USB, it is kept in a hidden partition and cannot be viewed with tools such as diskmgmt.msc.

Jon Spain Thanks, I bought the 5 version, which is what it said on the receipt. However, registration is confusing, with a pre-filled serial number and a license number which is provided later. The small print says that it can be installed on a PC (first in my case) and a laptop (second for me). However, on the laptop, I was told that the license key had already been used with that serial number and then I saw I could only create TWO USBs (rather than 5), Back on the PC, it does say 5 times but why isn't it 5 on both, please?

xSecuritas User Hi Jon Spain

We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for purchasing the product.

Our product can only be installed on one PC (Desktop or laptop).
For example, if you install on A-PC with one license Key (product that can make 5 Secure USBs), you can create 5 USBs on this A-PC.

However, if you use the same license key on another PC (eg B-PC), this is not allowed. If you continue to install on B-PC, it will be installed as a trial version, and the number of USBs that can be made in the trial version is 2 times,
(So ??you've seen 2 times on your laptop.)
(USB made in Trial version can be used only for 1 month.)

If you have any questions, please let me know.
