doremi fasola My company does not allow me to install unauthorized softwares in their computers nor will they buy this software for me. They're cheap, you know. So, I buying this with my own money to help me do my work. Can this be installed on a USB Stick? And yes, I will DEFINITELY be the only user.

Fedir Nepyivoda Steve: Yes, you can use one license on a pc and a notebook. License is given for a user, not computer. Upgrades are free for life.

doremi: If you have Windows 7, then you will be able to use it from a usb stick. Otherwise, most likely you will need to install it.

Mary Wilson Was looking for a sample data base to try the program out with. Does it have one of these?

Jerry S I am an outliner fanatic and have used all of them on the Windows platform and many on Mac going way, way back.

UV Outliner passes the elegance test. Simple to use, no unnecessary bells and whistles. Just seems to be a solid outliner.

It is a pleasue to place my order for this product.

Tom Colvin The first single-pane outliner software I ever bought, about 8 years ago, cost $100. It is not as elegant in looks as OV Outliner and even falls short in a couple of features. I think OV Outliner will turn out to be very useful for me and will replace my old clunker.

Hopefully, over time, it will grow to rival OmniOutliner for the Mac, which I have always coveted.

Stephen Cohen Fedir,

What is the version number of this offering? I've seen references to version numbers 1.5 and 3.5.1.

Glen Coulthard The only thing that seems to be missing (which is a show-stopper for me) is the ability to drag and drop or otherwise attach a file, folder, or URL link to a particular line item. Is the ability to add shortcuts to files, folders, and URLs planned for the future?

Fedir Nepyivoda Glen,

I agree with you it is a great feature. I think in a few months it will be released. There are few very wanted features I need to implement before.

Bob S I use a two-pane outliner (MyInfo) extensively, but still need an "elegant" and efficient single pane outliner for writing manuscripts that runs on Windows (Apple has had one for years).

I've looked closely at UV Outliner and it shows considerable promise, so I too will be adopting and using. I agree w/ the other reviewers - drag and drop will be an important feature. Otherwise, keep it "lean and efficient." To the developer - thanks for your work.

Bob S I do have one question - how many levels "deep" does UV Outliner handle?

Also agree re: the importance of hyperlinks (not just to external files, but also to other subtopics in the current file).

Fedir Nepyivoda Bob S,

Maximum level is only limited by resources of your computer. I was not able to reach the limit.

Regarding hyperlinks - you are absolutely right, hyperlinks will be introduced very soon.
