Expand All Email Updates Load 142 Older Comments

Steven Avery When the Google Sync was done (and yes, I can resync) I chose a specific Gmail account where I have many active entries. In the Google Calendar Sync Settings section it shows up as "Default Account" (the account name should be there, and that does imply the possibility of having more than one?) ... anyway, .. it did not really sync, as far as I can tell.

Oh, it did do the VueMinder to Google adds, although some holidays were double entries on the Google side, which really should be checked and prevented, whatever the root cause.

Also, it would be nice if you have, say 15 calendars, the groups combined,, to be able to make a "Set" of five, or some number, to reduce the checking and unchecking. Is this available, or in the pipeline?

Dan Chartrand Hi Steven, the BDJ promotion is only for the initial license, which includes 12 months of free updates. Lifetime updates can be purchased separately. There isn't currently any discount for lifetime updates.

If you have existing calendars in your Google account that you would like to add to VueMinder, use the "File -> Add Calendar -> Add Google Calendar" menu command to add those calendars. It sounds like you did something else. Please see the documentation linked below for more details:

Calendars can be grouped by using the "File -> New -> Calendar Group" menu command. You can drag-and-drop calendars between different groups. You can also check or uncheck a group to toggle visibility of all calendars within that group.

Steven Avery Ok, I think it will all be ok.

So I purchased the Ultimate.

My point on the Lifetime updates is that there are two paths to get there. One is to wait to after the year runs out after the Bits special, the other is to do it now. Same total price, I think, $90 for Ultimate, which is reasonable (as long as you never come out with an Above-Ultimate!). By waiting the year, I can be sure I am using the program before putting out the additional $50.

thanks for your answers. Got the deal now. Sometimes the BDJ descriptions miss actual infos. For this offer: The list of platforms is incomplete and there is no "language"button though the vendors website mentions translations.

And I'll never understand why BDJ always ignores the "real" e-mail address for registering the software when payments are done via PayPal.

Dan Chartrand Hi Charles, by "multi-valued variable fields", are you referring to custom fields that can be assigned a value from a predefined drop-down list? If so, then yes that capability is provided in VueMinder Ultimate. You can define a custom field by using the "Tools -> Custom Fields" menu command. For the field type, select "Value List" and enter the list of possible values that should be presented for that field (in a drop-down list) when editing events, tasks, notes, or contacts.

Mark User Hello Dan, in the fine print it says updates are good for up to 12 months. Then future upgrades can be purchased at a discounted rate? Please explain what is the discounted rate? And do I get the discounted rate after my 12 months purchase?

Dan Chartrand Hi Mark, updates can be renewed instead of having to purchase a new license after the updates expire. The price for updates is discounted compared to the price of a new license. Gary User I'm so impressed with VueMinder that I'm now using it as my main calendar for my law practice and just using outlook desktop as a backup with sync with Vueminder. The only feature in outlook desktop I would like to see in VueMinder is a popup of all reminders in one list with the ability to adjourn all of them for a selected amount of time at once or set adjournment for any individual item before groupo setting the remainder.
