Hourglass94 I tried the trial and copied some songs to my ipod. It worked great except the artwork tagged in the songs didn't match the artist or album

Benjamin User Well, I finally bought the WALTR 2 on Pc via BitDuJour's StackSocial for just $19 : It can upload Ibooks as well as music and vidéos... I don't understand why they still sell WALTR after the WALTR 2 release as it is more complete... I suppose everyone will choose the brand new one unless this version has Something special the 2nd does not have ? Did I miss Something ?

A Bridg I too ended up buying Waltr2 like Benjamin User above as I also wanted to be able to upload books and videos and have the wifi capability. From what I can tell you don't need ITunes according to their website - whilst I have ITunes on my PC it didn't seem to use it at all. What a terrible piece of software ITunes is - constantly losing sight of the IPad and it takes an age to get everything uploaded. ITunes has improved a little from the early days but it was so much simpler to use this software. I am a PC man usually and only use the IPad for convenience when I am on the move so it is even harder for me to remember how to do things on the IPad when I only need to do so occasionally.

I am still mightily impressed by Waltr and Waltr2and it takes a bit to impress me as I get older and have been there and done that so often before - haven't had chance to use WiFi yet but the cable option works flawlessly in Waltr or Waltr2. I had downloaded the earlier version first to see if it did as it promised before buying Waltr2 on the strength of the Waltr demo. The other thing I noticed is that I could upload all manner of video file formats to the IPad and they all play. Absolutely recommended software - why Apple haven't bought the developers out and made it an Apple product goodness only knows !

1. Benjamin User: Yes, WALTR works with iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. You can transfer ePub and PDF with WALTR 2. But since this edition has a lower price – you can transfer any music, video or ringtones.

WALTR 1 and WALTR 2 are sold separately. They are both fully supported & actively updated. The original WALTR is still sold but now at a more entry-level price for those who simply want to transfer music and videos to their iOS devices without iTunes or converters. And WALTR 2 is a more feature-packed solution with a higher price tag.

3. A Bridg: Nope :) WALTR does not require iTunes to be installed. If you never had iTunes installed, the app will automatically detect this and offer you to install the essential drivers required for your device to be recognized and seen by WALTR.
