Techfixes Well, I would like to try this program out. But I just downloaded it and the first thing it did was force me to download a version 3.6 update - literally. I couldn't cancel and had to use Task Manager to even be able to exit the program.It forced me into the update / download screen no matter what I did.

Thankfully it appears to have allowed me to use the Activation Code with that version.

According to the About screen I now have a "Free License". What exactly is that?

Russ L This is a really messed up program. When you first run it, it asks if you want to download version 3.6 (the free one offered here is 3.5). And the only option at that point is to download it. You can't cancel, you can't exit the program. To quit the program (if you can even call it a program, since the only thing you have access to is to download the update) you have to use windows task manager to kill it!
Big fail for WinX with this program today.

John User Sounds impressive and would like to try, but do you need to have iTunes installed on your PC to use this program?

Recently, I decided to delete all things iTunes from my PC and I am looking for a transfer program for iPhone/iPad that doesn't require iTunes installation.

John User Well, I can answer number 1 of eldad's question....

I had asked if iTunes was necessary and the vendor came back and told me no iTunes was necessary. This was correct. However, I mentioned I deleted all things iTunes and when I downloaded Media Trans, I was required to first download and install Apple Mobile Support Device Drivers, both 32-bit and 64-bit.

15 minutes later I was able to easily register and use Media Trans. I connected both my iPad Air 2 and iPhone 5s and the software is just what I wanted. It was easy to transfer music, photo and video files.

I would buy, but I just read that PayPal is not accepted. Is this true?

Jim Ganw It does say if the appl mobile driver install fails to manually install iTunes. Eeek!

The mobile support installer runs 3 driver installs, 32bit, 64bit and utility bit. Seems to have installed without issue. Dodged the iTunes bullet. Now I can fully exploit the massive 16GB that Apple so graciously permitted me to use. ;-)

adamsdaddy I purchased the paid version and the software will not work with any of the 4 iPads or iPhones without generating a “device is busy” error message. Support is via a robot (from Ricky Ma) that asks for the log file not matter what is asked.
It turns out that if you’ve selected optimize your photos where the originals are kept on the iCloud then this software fails.

The company has refused 3 weeks of demands that they honor their 30 day money back guarantee.
I’m going to have to dispute it with my bank because Digiarty won’t approve the refund.
You’ve been warned!

John User I always find it strange when I download and install one of these programs and it immediately tells me an update (in this case dated Nov. 29) is available.

I find it particularly strange when The Fine Print of a program, like this one states:

"Upgrades to future versions of the software will require additional payment. Installing a new version may overwrite the existing version and invalidate your license key."

Why set us up like this???

Kyle user This has proven to be a really useful program fro transferring data to and from an apple device. One of the best features is that it only installs the drivers needed not the horrible iTunes.

Easy to install (win7 pro and ultimate 64bit - I have two separate licenses), easy to use. Highly recommended.

Bill Morgan Hello Digiarty/Molly, when you responded to the complaint from @adamsdaddy you bypassed answering the complaint from @John User that you are giving us version 4.9 of the software but after we install it we find that there is a newer version 5.0 available presumably for sale (US$35?) but the write-up to induce me to download the software says that it (presumably version 4.9) has recently had a "major upgrade". So to carry @John User's question and comments to their natural conclusion; Does the version 4.9 that we are getting include all of the major upgrades included in version 5.0 or do we have to pay for version 5.0 to get the most up-to-date version of the software? By downloading and installing the updated version 5.0, is this considered a future version of the software requiring additional payment and by downloading and installing the updated version 5.0 am I subjecting myself to overwriting version 4.9 and invalidating the license key that came with it? Please advise

adamsdaddy @Molly_Digiarty Today I received an email from the Avangate (your credit card processor) indicating that the refund was approved. I have all the emails to back up my assertion that my request for a refund was ignored with nothing more than robotic responses requesting the log file. I sent the logfile 3 weeks ago and that is how I learned your program doesn't work anytime an iPhone/iPad user selects Optimize for their pictures. The inane "support" suggestion was that I backup the photos, delete them and then transfer the next batch from the iCloud. How exactly would I do that since your software only comes up with the device is busy error? Call me cynical but the only reason your company approved the refund (today) is due to my posting of my problems on Bitsdujour's website.

If you ever get the program to work properly with iOS and the standard Optimize photos option - let me know. Otherwise it is useless to me.

Your DVD Ripper program is great. Perhaps you can get their programmers to help.

Stkeys At last,an IOS transfer program that actually does work without having to have iTunes installed on your PC........ all the others I've tried say they work but don't unless you have iTunes installed, which kinda defeats the object.

Winx Media Trans Works without iTunes..... Thank you, Thank you for this free license. After installing the software I did have to download and install extra drivers from Apple but everything went very smoothly and the Winx software now works with my iPad Pro connected to my PC.

David Dockstader The program refuses to respond. I have downloaded all the Apple 32 and 64 bit drivers and installed them. I have downloaded and installed this program twice. It still refuses to respond. I can't even register. And it says I am not connected when I am. I also disconnected and reconnected twice. This program is DOA!

adamsdaddy I ended up repurchasing the program. I've accepted that it doesn't work when you have iPhone pictures saved into the iCloud. I download the pictures to my phone, copy them off to my PC then delete them on the iPhone and repeat the process. A little laborious but it appears to be the only way to get the full resolution images down from iCloud and onto my phone.
This program made it easy to download the audio files I'd created when recorded long meetings. The interface is fast and easy to use.
It would sure be nice if they would let you type in your Apple ID and it would pull them down copies from iCloud but oh well.

Stkeys I received a reply from support and after sending screen shots of the problem ( which could have been avoided if they had told me this upfront )

The reason this software does not work with my iPod Touch is because it only supports iOS 7 and above. My iPod is iOS 6 so this is no good for anyone with older devices.

Steve User downloaded the application and installed it. When I try to start the application, the logo comes up then nothing. No shortcuts created. Files are in the Program Files folder, but it will not execute - no error messages. I did get the registration code, but can't get to the point of using it.

Keyboard Cowboy Not very pleased with this transaction so far. Downloaded the program and before it was installed, it told me there was an update for the latest Apple IOS. Unfortunately, There are no updates with the BitsDuJour download.........I have to buy a Lifetime License? Really? If the seller wants to give away a program that has no updates, I understand that -- at least give away the latest product. This seems like a classic "bait and switch"!!

John User Can't get it to connect to my phone. I do get my phone to show up in Windows Explorer, but the program won't find it. Tried different UB ports and cables, but nothing happens.

Digiarty isn't responsible for Apple releasing a new version of their OS which just happened to coincide with the giveaway if you're referring to the iPhone OS updates. If you're referring to the MediaTrans app new version, one would think you'd be thankful they're giving you any version for free rather than complaining. Did you pay the programmers to create the software? Somehow I don't think you did so stop acting as if you're "entitled" to something for nothing. There is no "bait and switch". You want free upgrades? PAY for the app. Otherwise, just be thankful rather than being another "entitlement child".

David Dockstader Installs fine, I guess. Won't allow me to register or anything. Just goes off into NeverNeverLand and I have to close it with the task manager. I tried downloading it again from the we site. Same results. I think it has a problem.

Doug Atkinson I've used a previous version and only use the Photo/Video transfer, but it works well. Just start the program, plug in the iPhone and hit accept on the iPhone screen. Then open the photo tool which will show the photos on your iPhone. Select the ones you want, click Export, and they are transferred to your PC. Easy to use.

Molly_Digiarty @Doug Atkinson Thank you for your encouraging comment! Compared with its predecessors, the photo/video feature has been updated with Encrypt File function since version 5.5. It allows you to password protect photos & videos in a hard disc with unbreakable encryptions, incl. 256-bit AES, 1024-bit RSA, PBKDF2, Argon2. :)

David Dockstader Alright, I have no problem downloading and running the install. There are no problems with my safety software or router/filter. My internet connection is running just fine since I have received this. What I get is the initial screen and when I click on "Register" I get a little round blue circle that goes round and round forever. I've let it run for over 10 minutes. When I try to close it down, Windows says it has to report it to Windows (which I assume it is doing) and then it disappears. When I open it again, the same thing happens. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it and I get the same thing. I would love to send you a screen shot, but I can't seem to copy it in this box, so I will send them in a separate email. Thanks.

Jackie It works for Windows 2000. But not XP. Never mind then. Besides you have to install it in a certain time limit.

Constantin Florea @Luis User, I am sorry about the confusion regarding the application version. The installer we're using for this promotion is the one from the product site meaning it is actually for version 6.4. The reason we had 6.0 for the version number was because we missed updating the version number in time before the promotion's start.

Hubert CANEVET Well, I purchased Zoolz Home 2 TB, for 60 euros, and WinX Media Trans, free.
But in both cases the installation program is the same, winx-mediatrans-setup-January2019.exe, and once installed it only provides a link to the web site.
So, it seems I paid 60 euros for nothing ?

Constantin Florea @Hubert CANEVET, Our system which sends the receipts, puts the total of all items in an order, in all receipts it sends for that order so you only paid for the Zoolz product and got the WinX MediaTrans product for free. There is one Download button in the receipt you received for the WinX MediaTrans product, there is no Download button in the receipt you received for the Zoolz product.

Tiffiny Crashes on startup, no logs, after a couple of attempts, it says the software that I installed is to low a version to run, and that I should download from the winxdvd website... I also tried that, and am encountering the same problem

Mr Dave Nice program! I tried a few similar programs but this one works the best so far. iTunes not required (I had iTunes on a previous PC and found it hard to use, very difficult to uninstall, and still don't know if it caused some of the odd problems that PC had).

I also had version 6.4, given away here last January. Installed today's giveaway (5/7/19) and it upgraded me to version 6.5. Installer didn't even require license code (unless it was read from the copy buffer). Good offer for lifetime license as well.

Contest offer is leftover from when version 6.4 was given away, no one updated the BDJ web page yet. But, even the Digiarty web page still says 6.4, and iOS 11. Hope it works in iOS 12.

Alan User If you're a frequent iTunes user, the 'Remove DRM' feature alone might make this program one of your new best friends. Last year there was controversy when news broke that iTunes was removing film and TV titles that customers had legally purchased from their libraries without notice or refund, because they no longer had the rights to sell those titles. So if your computer crashed and you lost your copy and went to download it again - 'tough,' they pretty much said (two free rentals doesn't cover the purchase price - up to $25 in some cases). 'Remove DRM' will let you unlock your purchases from their iTunes-only environment, so once you download and store them safely offline, they *are* yours (and can also be played on some other media player programs like VLC). You paid for them, remember? They *should* be yours. Highly recommended program and worth the download/purchase simply because of that.
