Catherine McClarey I've tried IOBit's Advanced System Care Pro via GOTD (update announced recently, but doesn't recognize my Pro version license) and this past weekend's BDJ promotion of System Cleaner (nice concept, but wasn't expecting to "beta-test" the download); maybe Wise Care 365 Pro will work better than either of those 2 programs. There certainly seems to be a demand for a good utility software program!

Catherine McClarey This was FAST when I ran it for the first time this morning! I had been using IOBit's Advanced System Care Pro since June, and liked many of its features (especially the Uninstaller) - but didn't like the multiple auto-scans per day, not just once shortly after boot-up. I've got the Wise Care 365 PRO scheduler set up to auto-scan once a week, at a time when the computer is usually on but idle, and can switch to daily scans whenever I want. No uninstaller here - but I can always download CCleaner or Revo Uninstaller (both of which I used before Advanced System Care Pro) again.
And no copy/pasting a registration code for the Wise Care product, either! Fast, useful, stable, and not annoying - what's not to love?

Matt The WiseCleaner website shows that this software is a 1 year subscription for 3 PCs. Maybe that's why it's called '365'.

BDJ says that Wise Care can be used indefinitely.

Which one is it? Does it stop working after one year?

internet explorer to J. Bell - Hi again -- My interpretation is that the license period is indefinite, i.e. permanent, but the right to receive minor updates, if any expires in one year. I have noticed several companies doing something like this in order to make it more likely that users will feel comfortable with the software vendor and increase the chances of getting future orders from friends and also new version upgrades. It is not just a long trial like some others have done on occasion., and it seems to fit well with BDJ's fairly typical policy statement for this software (which should win BDJ more satisfied customers, IMHO. I just hope the default settings do not have Wuse 365 do anything that I have not specifically approved, as I seem to remember having to deal with on one particular multi-utility program that started up a scan and cleaning of the registry right out of the box. That's a no-no.

But I remember several years ago, (I'm not sure about now) that Registry Mechanic had a yearly subscription policy. If you didn't renew your subscription, Registry Mechanic would stop working.

WiseCleaner.com Yes, you are right. It can't be updated to future version as the policy shows. Once you update it , it will be changed into free version. In other words, you use this exactly full version 1.81 always, no time limited.

Software Babe I LIKED THIS SO MUCH, I BOUGHT IT AT A DISCOUNT AND ALL THE UPDATES ARE FREE.

This software does everything and more and has kept my PC in tip-top shape. THIS IS ONLY 1 TOOL that does many things, including checking your registry. But, you always have the opportunity to NOT choose the cleaning mode.

SYSTEM TUNEUP (system, disk, registry, startup manager)
PRIVACY PROTECTOR

The only other tool has has most of these is Glary Utilities, so if you can get this one free, TAKE IT. It does beat Glary.

Phil Tobin Cleaning / optimization suites such as this are VERY system dependent, i.e.: they may work brilliantly on one computer but make a mess of things with another. Developers aren't psychic: they cannot be expected to anticipate the million-and-one configurations of individual computers.

That therefore means that user recommendations / user condemnations need to be viewed with care, because there's no such thing as an 'average' computer any more than there's an 'average' person.

That caveat dispensed with, I have to confess to a weary skepticism about all software suites of this type. I've tried too many to count and for years ran the full paid-for version of jvPowerTools, the daddy of 'em all because it was the "father" of this entire software genre.

However, as I do recommend to everyone Wise's excellent free Folder Hider (superior to iObit's absurd recurring-price 'Protected Folder') I road-tested today's BDJ offer some months back when it appeared as a Giveaway of the Day.

Have to say, I'm impressed. Genuinely impressed. It has -- in MY case -- done everything it promised to do and there've been no glitches / crashes or unintended consequences. It's very, very comprehensive and the ability to save it as a portable app is a bonus.

Like for like, I found it out-performing in ease of use, facilities etc my 2011 version of jvPowerTools -- and that's praise indeed. In fact: I've not bothered shelling out the upgrade price for the latest version of jvPT.

I'd recommend that after installation, every BDJ user should go to the 'Menu' button, click on 'Settings', and make sure that 'check for updates while loading application' is NOT ticked.

Definitely another winner from Wise where I'm concerned; hopefully, it will prove the same for other users here at BDJ.

Joe M I have been trying the Free Version of your program. So far it has been working just fine. By default it is either a small window that appears when the program opens or you can Maximize the program to fill the whole screen. One thing I would like to see changed is the window size. I would like to be able to resize the program to my liking.

James K I may have noticed an error.

But a question first:

0) Am I correct in assuming that the 1 year license is for the upgrades only, and that we will be free to continue to use the software (sans upgrades) after the year expires?

The apparent problem: This offer is $11.98 for a 1 year license, but the 1 year / 1 PC license in bold shows $29.95.

1) Is the bolded 1 year / 1 PC license at the bottom a different license than the advertised $11.98 license?

Then, if the two 1 year / 1 PC licenses ARE the same licenses, and it's simply that one is the regular price, and the other is the discounted price, then...

2) ...I am I correct to assume that the $59.95 lifetime / 1 PC license is also the regular price, and that this offer (that says it covers lifetime licenses) will also be less expensive? And if so...

3) ...what is the discounted price of the lifetime / 1 PC license?

Monika Rae I have the same problem as those above me, received the email with download link but no license key included within the message. Constantin Florea The application you install using the Download link from the receipt email, is already unlocked.

There is no need for a registration key.

This is the lifetime Pro version (for 1 PC only). It turns free if you try to update it to a higher version, but you can always re-install using the installer from the receipt email. This is version 2.75

Fearless Scientist Whats the point in giving away software with no future updates ? Difference between pro and free version is getting automatic updates and skins along with improved privacy cleaner. I would rather stay with free version without any skins and update to newer version when it comes for performance fixes and improved cleaning.

DoctorOfFreewarelosophy I posted this to the Sharewareonsale site. Maybe someone here has the answers, as the Wise products continue to be somewhat of a mystery. They get good reviews, Softpedia seems to like them, yet it's really hard to get information about their different products and what it installs. Suffice it to say, it shouldn't be installed unless you use a good Uninstaller.

This version of Wise Care 365 Pro doesn't seem to be the same version that's available from their website.
Their website offers two versions of the Pro download. One is a setup file and the other is a portable file. Both
contain several files that don't appear to be in this Bitsdujour offering. the first is UninstallTP.exe. That file isn't needed because it just uninstalls the trial pay period when the product is bought. Since the Bitsdujour download is free, it's not needed..

The next file sounds like it's important. I can't say exactly because it's hard to find much information on the executable programs in Wise's software products, other than security sites trying to explain if the files are safe. The pro version contains something called "WiseTurbo.exe" which isn't included in the Bitsdujour FREE PRO version. In addition, the main executable program, "WiseCare365.exe" is 1 kb smaller and has different hashtags than the normal Pro download.

One file that IS included in the FREE PRO version that isn't in the official Pro download is a file called "Linkhint.exe". I haven't been able to find out what this file does. I originally posted information about it over a year ago on Gizmo's Techsupportalert site here:

Virustotal and Virscan.org both show linkhint.exe as clean. I just don't know what it's for. It would help if the software vendor would respond and list what the various application files in their programs are for. In addition, why is the Bitdujour FREE Pro version slightly different from the official pro version?

Threat expert mentions something about mutex objects being created by Wise Jet Search (another of their programs). Is this normal?

Both Wise Care 365 and Glary Utilities 4 are same kinds of software, but they are different.
1, When you use any feature of Glary, it will pop up a new window. But Wise is different, all features are running in one window.

2, Glary has more functions than Wise, but is bigger than Wise, and I doubt whether those functions are necessary.

So, I think Wise Care 365 is better than Glary Utilities 4. :)

Metta Zetty I'm not too familiar with how things run "under the hood" on my PC, and up until now, I've been using a combination of different packages to try to optimize my PC performance, including Auslogics Disc Defrag and Boost Speed.

So far the comments on this software look pretty good, and the BDJ discounted prices are definitely a plus.

I'm just wondering now: based on experience, can anyone comment on how Wise Care 365 compares with Auslogics Boost Speed in terms of features and performance?

Also, I recently ran a browser tune-up that deleted ALL of my browser preference settings and uninstalled ALL of my add-ons. Can this type of problem be prevented in Wise Care by adjusting the preferential settings?

Software Babe I also have both Glary and Wise, but use my Wise PRO (lifetime) daily. It is indeed, an awesome program, with LOTS of features in the PRO version.

If you are using the free version of Wise, then this is why it does not have many features. If you buy the PRO version, to me, it is better than Glary.

Danny Is that so that Wise Care 365 PRO is no recognized Microsoft vendor? There are generally recommended to only Windows optimization software to use of approved Silver or Gold certified Microsoft vendors. These vendors often have a Microsoft logo.

I ask, because I have OuterTech's Cacheman running to manage system memory resources, and I am very happy with it. I would not wish to create a conflict with Cacheman.

PS: I asked this same question during a prior promotion and never received a response. I did not feel encouraged, but I'm willing to try again today. :)

Joe M I got the free version last September. I used it for a short time until it messed up my Windows 7 computer and had to do a do reinstall from an image I had on another drive.

Glary Utilities and System Cleaner 7 have also messed up my computer. They are to aggressive when cleaning up the Registry. Glary also caused problems with the Registry when using the Registry Defrag feature.

Use these types of programs with caution and make sure you have a back up of your hard drive if you do use them.

If you think you need to clean up your registry, just use CCleaner. It is free. It may not clean all of the invalid or unused registry entries like the other programs mentioned, but I have never had a problem with using it.

VLM Joe McCormick - When I read a comment like yours, and some others as well, I find myself feeling curious. Do not these various programs make a full backup of the registry before changing it? And if things go badly, cannot one simply replace the entire registry with the backed up version?

I have a feeling I'm being rather simple-minded about this, but I don't know why or how.

WiseCleaner.com @Danny, Registry Backup is a safety measures. When you drive a car you need to fasten seat belt, registry backup is the seat belt of registry cleaning, CCleaner has same features, Windows has same features (system restore point).
If you install / uninstall software frequently, you need to run registry cleaning.

VLM I am inclined to buy this product, except for one thing: I see no response to Norm Sash's question, immediately above. If "Transfer of a license to another owned computer is not allowed" is a correct statement, what about reinstallation of the OS on the same machine?

Honestly, I have never understood why any vendor would choose that option while being awake. I wonder why BDJ even offers vendors that option. But that's just me. :) I imagine BDJ has a business reason for doing so ... I just don't know what it is. And perhaps the same is true of this and certain other vendors.

I WOULD like to understand, at least.

I had to reinstall the original 2.95 version instead.

Wise Care 365 has just been updated to a new version, and certain new features have been added. It is easy to hide the memory manager from your desktop.

I recommend this software highly, and apparently this free version also includes future updates for 12 months. I have found this software useful enough that I have purchased lifetime updates.

On the off-chance that the developers did something like tie the portable version to the disk where the .zip file was saved you might want to preserve the original installation in case the disk with the portable version dies so you can make another (if they just tied the portable version to the disk on which it first is run you only need to save the .zip file to make another: perhaps they'll enlighten us as to what, if any, steps they have taken to protect against uncontrolled proliferation).

Rich OBrien I went from being skeptical to being totally a fan of WiseCare 365. So far over a period of 2.5 years it has found and removed 158.5 Gigabytes of junk files from my computer. I've found no other junk cleaning software that works so well. Among its many utilities WiseCare 365 also includes a trustworthy Windows Registry cleaner which just found and fixed 25 Registry problems on my computer. In the past I used a Windows Registry cleaner that always found more than 400 registry problems. Even if I ran it a second time right away it would always find hundreds of things to fix. I didn't trust it. I can trust WiseCare 365. You can too.

Not sure what you're talking about.
I'm using it from years (the free version, then the PRO version) and it is highly customizable, just like Piriform Ccleaner.
If you don't want it to scan your registry with the "one-click" checkup, you can disable it through Menu-Settings-Custom Checkup.
If you don't want it to scan your hard disks for junk with the "one-click" checkup, you can disable it through Menu-Settings-Custom Checkup.
And so forth.
You can just ignore the checkup function at all.
They also won't send a big amount of advertisements like other software companies.
They removed the pop-ups from euask users, given that other wise care 365 users didn't like them (even if it was very simple to disable those pop-ups).
To me, it seems they are "user-oriented" and are trying to be very helpful with their free utilities (like other software companies).

MaxR This is a great program. I got it here back in 2014 when it was version 3.3.4 and have referred several friends to buy the product since when they were having problems with their computers. I think you'll get the PRO license only for version 4.72 (on one pc for one year), and I'm afraid you couldn't update it to newer versions.
You should consider it as a "GIVEAWAY" license.
If you'll upgrade it to a newer version, you'll lose the "pro" (read "giveaway") license.
And you'll lose the special features that comes with the PRO license.
It will be reverted to the free version (you can use the free version indefinitely).
But in that case, WiseCleaner could offer you a special discount for a (real) PRO license, with which you can update wise care 365 to newer versions.

By the way, I could be wrong about this...
Let's see if someone of WiseCleaner Team will clarify this matter.

I think I'll leave well enough alone and continue with what I have unless I hear something different from them in the next 8 hours. It's working just fine as a Pro version now and it's about time to get a new computer, so I might as well stick with what's working for now. I don't want it to change to the basic version.

Rich OBrien Would someone please explain how Wise Care 365 can find and remove useless files to free up 8 gigabytes from my C drive but when I look at C drive Properties the free space doesn't change. For years I thought Wise Care 365 was really helping me. But then I discovered drive Properties shows no more free space.
Force Deleter sounds good but always reports Deletion Failed.
Inside my C drive's System Volume folder is a suspicious file called MountPointManagerRemoteDatabase dated 2015. I'd like to use Force Deleter to delete it but Force Deleter can't access the folder. There should be a way to run Wise Care 365 as administator but isn't.

Rich OBrien This has never happened before. I went from 12 Gigabytes of free space on my Windows 10 drive yesterday to zero free space today. Software is complaining that it can't run or must close because of zero space. Running Disk Cleanup under Drive Properties doesn't help. More than ever I need Wise Care 365 to find and cleanup whatever is hogging all the free space on my computer. Wise Care's Big Files Manager helped me find 6.2 Gig of old junk. And thankfully, the free space shows up when I check my C drive's Properties.

I really just wanted to see if WC365 changed the way they do things so I downloaded it and see they did not. My issue with WC365 has always been that when you do a scan, the results list the categories and the number of files within them that it deems as 'delete-able' but does not identify the files individually for you. You must then choose to blindly delete all or none. No thanks!

GU on the other hand, informs the user by lisitng the individual files within the category and the user selects which ones to delete! A far better approach for the user to know and decide what goes on with their own machine.

Jay Softer I found out that when you go to settings, and press Boot Booster tab (down on the left side of the new window), you might be surprised what is hiding under the BOOT BOOSTER tab. And it is impossible to disable that "tool". Obviously you can put in anything there, but why call it Boot Booster. Not funny at all, and raises all kind of suspicions. Uninstalled!

Rich OBrien One large file Win Care 365 can't remove is the hyberfil.sys file created when Windows 10 goes into Hybernation. Perhaps my cat stepped on the Sleep key. I found a hyberfil.sys file, looked on line for how to remove a hyberfil.sys file, followed the simple instructions and freed up another 11 gigabytes.

@jboy: you can not see the list of items when you run the complete checkup.
You can see the list of files when you run the scan in system cleaner - common cleaner.
You can see the list of registry entries when you run the scan system cleaner - registry cleaner.

@Jay Softer: I didn't understand what you didn't understand.
Boot booster run at pc boot, when you log into windows. It will show you how many time the boot took to happen and the weather of your city/town.
If you don't like the boot booster, it can be disabled in settings, general, second option from the top.

@Rich OBrien: to remove the hyberfil.sys, you should disable the hibernation via windows settings.

@rookuli: you can generate the portable version via program settings, general, "make portable version".
It will put the zipped/compressed folder on your desktop: decompress it, done.
I'm not sure if it will be licensed/registered, I didn't try this offer (I already have wise care 365 pro).

jman @Jay Softer Just to clarify, what I meant was strange was that all I have in the tab is the weather item and your earlier post sounded like you had many more things there. Perhaps I misunderstood you.

I've had this program before and the reason the weather is part of the booster is that when you boot up it gives a pop-up about how many seconds the boot-up took and also shows your local weather.

As I stated previously, if you don't want the booster running there is a way to disable it.

IMO, one should NEVER just blindly trust ANY software and click delete on its say so!

Instead, I use the individual items under the "System Cleaner" tab. There, once scanned, you can choose what to delete. (FYI, the scan results are all preselected for deletion but you can right click any item and choose "uncheck all") I mostly just use the "Common Cleaner" selection and in the "System Tuneup" tab, the "System Optimizer". I basically just delete temp files, invalid items and web traces. There is also a file shredder in the "Privacy Protector" tab which can be handy.

For this type of maintenance software, I use both this and Glary Utilities and each do some things better than the other which is why I keep both.

Dave Bellefontaine It downloaded but would not install am really upset. I uninstalled older version still would not install now I don't have the program at all. Extremely upset, don't think I will use this site again. I always have issues with the software here

Stev'O First file would not download because "Potential security risk". Once I forced the file to download the zipped file that was linked to in the email, I can not scan the file with Bitdefender Anti virus because the executable file is password protected. There is no way I am going to launch or install this installer package on my system. From what i am seeing so far, I would avoid this deal from Wise Care at all cost.

Stev'O Dennis User see my post above about this. The linked file is downloaded from a non https web site that has the protentional of the file modification done to it. The file I downloaded is in a zip format that extracts to an exe file. The exe installer file is password protected so you cannot scan it with any anti-virus program. I am not installing this on my system, but you can do whatever you want.

On a happy note, I've been using this program for years. It is fast and it is easy to use which is good, but the results are great. I love Wise Care. I had no problem downloading it a couple days ago. It works fine using the email from BitsduJour download.
