tomer User Should you use registry cleaner on your windows pc?
No, it is not recommended to use registry cleaners on your Windows PC as they can often do more harm than good. Windows is capable of managing the registry on its own, and attempting to clean it manually can result in the deletion of important or necessary files, potentially causing system instability or other issues. Additionally, registry cleaners are often marketed with misleading claims and can even be used as a vehicle for malware.

Can you find one good reason to use it?
While it is generally not recommended to use registry cleaners, one potential benefit of using a registry cleaner is that it may be able to fix certain errors or issues that are caused by corrupted or invalid entries in the Windows registry. However, it's important to note that such issues are relatively rare, and using a registry cleaner can still carry the risk of causing additional problems. In most cases, it is better to address specific issues as they arise using other methods such as using built-in Windows tools, updating drivers, or seeking help from technical support.

WiseCleaner.com The registry keeps growing when you use Windows, so does the obsolete items in the registry, which would eventually lead to performance degradation and even system crash. Wise Registry Cleaner scans the Windows registry and finds errors & residual items in the registry and then cleans or defrags them. By fixing these residual and corrupted items in Windows registry, your system will run faster and more stable.

Rod User Tons of people repeat the "no one should use registry cleaner" rhetoric.

Just because you can do massive damage if you miss use them doesn't mean you should go around saying they are bad.

I have had wise registry cleaner save me from many reformats over the years. Quite often when my systems starts acting up a run through my historical set of cleaners clears up all the issues sfc and DISM fail to fix.

gandts2 User Fact, I have been accumulating free and promotional free retail software for 25 years. I have acquired a vast software library. Vast. EVERYTHING LEGALLY. I have tested a gazillion registry cleaners by a multitude of developers. I have NEVER had a problem with the use of any registry cleaner ever. As a matter of fact, I keep my systems tuned up to the max all the time and could not achieve that without quality products such as the free promotion product provided here.

daug Question why your website only says it is only for Windows up to 2007. Downloaded version seems to be 10.9.1, which the website says is for Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, Windows 11, both 32bit and 64 bit.

xilolee Hi Todd User!

I downloaded the zipped file "WRCSetup_Bitsdujour_January2025.zip" and scanned with (windows 10 home/standard) windows defender.
The result is "No current threats - 106 files scanned".
Then I scanned the unzipped folder: "No current threats - 105 files scanned".
Then I scanned the exe file inside the folder: "No current threats - 105 files scanned".

Then I made the same scans with malwarebytes free 4.5.24: the results are 0 threats/pups/pums.

Then I made the same scans with superantispyware 10.0.1270 free edition: the results are "No potentially harmful items have been detected on your computer.".

Then I submitted the zipped file to virustotal; the result is "No security vendors flagged this file as malicious".
There are seventy-four vendors.
Eight say "Unable to process file type"
Sixty-six say "Undetected".

Metadefender.com says: 1 engine (BKAV Pro) detected the item as infected; the infection is W32.Malware.CC7946AF.
BKAV is a Vietnamese company.
The other twenty-three say "No threat detected".

Jotti.org says 0/14 scanners reported malware.

Hope this helps!
