What are people saying about WonderFox DVD Video Converter

SoftCollector Thanks for the promotion!

I have several questions though:

1. What is the difference between WonderFox HD Video Converter Factory Pro Life-time/PC ($14.95) and HD Video Converter Factory Pro ($29.95) – the lifetime is cheaper than the time-limited option?
2. In general, where on your site can one see a comparison between pro and non-pro versions?

Kind Regards,
SC

Stephen C Hi SoftCollector,

1st, WonderFox HD Video Converter doesn't have time-limited version. $14.95 is 50% OFF discounted price of life-time/PC version.

2nd, you can see the differences of free version and pro version here: http://www.videoconverter...converter/

Please do not hesitate to contact us for anything at any time.

SoftCollector Hi Stephen,

Thank you for the quick answers.

1. Still, what is the difference between WonderFox HD Video Converter Factory Pro Life-time/PC ($14.95) and HD Video Converter Factory Pro ($29.95) – as listed on this page above? By the way they are named, it should be the same software title – and if both are lifetime licenses, why only one has the words 'life-time' in its name? This is confusing.
2. I read through the comparison on your site: it seems that DVD Video Converter = HD Video Converter Pro + ripping of protected DVDs – is that correct? So there is no DVD Video Converter Pro software in that case?
3. Should I understand that DVD Video Converter contains functionality like AnyDVD to decrypt encrypted content?
4. By 'life-time' do you mean 'life-time upgrades included' or 'can be used indefinitely, but upgrades to new versions within one year'?

Kind Regards,
SC

Stephen C Hi SC,

1st, the difference is $14.95 for life-time free upgrade for only 1 PC. The higher price (should be $24.95 after discounted) is life-time free upgrade for 3 PCs.

2nd, yes, there is no DVD Video Converter pro version. DVD Video Converter (almost) = HD Video Converter Factory Pro + Ripping DVD functions. However, HD Video Converter Factory Pro is more powerful on merging video files than DVD Video Converter.

3rd, Yes, you can understand that.
4th, Life-time here means life-time upgrade service. Once you purchase, you will enjoy free life-time upgrade service.

Please do not hesitate to contact us for anything at any time. :)

SoftCollector Hi Stephen,

Thank you again for your answers.

1. I own Slysoft AnyDVD and CloneDVD; DVD Ranger, IAMTOO Video Converter Ultimate, and the latest version of Nero. What, if any, would the purchase of HD Video Converter Factory Pro / DVD Video Converter add to the functionality of the above if a place a paying order?
2. If I have understood correctly, the company behind WonderFox is Chinese -- is that correct? There are some peculiarities behind the Chinese model, that I have noticed. For example, IAMTOO uses the same engine as another popular Chinese video editor. That is, the exactly same code is used under a different brand name and a slightly modified interface. Is WonderFox an original development, or is it a rebranded version of another coder?
3. And finally, since your site does not mention it, what exactly are ALL the differences between the DVD converter and the Video converter titles you offer?

Kind Regards,
SC

Scott Van Leeuwen Okay. I'm confused with the amount of offers you have provided.

Which suite offers all the programs into one or is that not available. I want mainly to convert my DVD's into iso format so I can create a media library for my WD TV Live. I only need 1 license as I am the only person in my family that does this sort of stuff. But I would like a lifetime of upgrades. Would that include upgrades when you support Blu Ray?

Can you please get back to me asap.

Stephen C Hi SC,

1st, I believe WonderFox HD Video Converter Factory pro is much better than most of video converter in the market. Especially for the conversion speed, quality and the video merge function. And for DVD Video Converter, this one is special for DVD Converter which can help you backup and convert encrypted DVD discs. I have to say Slysoft AnyDVD is a great product. However, WonderFox DVD Video Converter is no less than it (And the conversion speed is faster).

2nd, WonderFox is absolutely an original development.

3rd, Video Converter doesn't allow users to download video from YouTube. And compare with DVD Video Converter, it also doesn't support DVD backup and conversion.

Btw, I think you will be surprised for the next version of WonderFox DVD Video Converter. :)

Please feel free to contact us for anything at any time. :)

SoftCollector Hi Stephen!

1. Since you mention it :) what can be expected of the next version of WonderFox DVD Video Converter?
2. Do you plan adding Blu-ray support to WonderFox DVD Video Converter? Or will it be a stand-alone product (I hope not)?

SoftCollector I decided to give it a try and I am currently converting a 6.6 GB DVD (which I own).

Notes:

1. The protection, if any, has been removed, although there is no mention of the process in the interface.
2. I am offered the choice of Xvid, DivX and H264 for avi. Isn't that too few (I may be wrong)?
3. The resulting size of the .avi will be 5.5 GB, which is uncharacteristically big for 720x576. Any way to get this down to, say, 700 MB, or 1,4 GB?
4. Conversion time is calculated at 14,5 hours, which is... the slowest I have seen for a program of this kind. I have a super fast AMD 4-core processor.

Kind Regards,
SC

Stephen C Hi SC,

So sorry for the late response.

1st, the next version will add some new features (DVD Folder, ISO Image, etc.) and the conversion process will be more stable. And some more. :)
2nd, we don't have a plan to add Blu-ray in the near future. But maybe. :)

And about the tech issues, do you mind to send an email to supportvideoconverterfactory.com? Our tech support will help you solve the problems. :)

Stephen C Hi GW,

The free one today is WonderFox DVD Video Converter version 5.1. However, it doesn't support to upgrade. And that's the difference.

1 Year/PC version means user can enjoy free upgrade service within 1 year.
Life-Time/PC version means user can enjoy free upgrade service in Life-Time period.
Life-Time/3PC version means user can activate the product on 3 PCs and all can enjoy free upgrade service in Life-time period.

Please do not hesitate to contact us for anything at any time. Have a great day! :)

Stephen C Hi James Nickeforek,

To enasure the ripping and converting process without any errors on new encrypted DVDs, the version 5.1 improved decrypted feature which causes a slower speed. This issue will be fixed in the next version. :)

Cary Adams Datapoint: I converted a DVD main movie (source duration: 1 hour, 35 minutes) using default settings for Apple TV 2 default (mp4, H264) with the version 5.1 release offered here.

Results:
Output file: 1.01 GB
Bit rate : 1 204 Kbps
Conversion time: 38 minutes ..that's scorching fast for my i7@2.4GHz with GPU acceleration

FWIW, I web browsed during the entire conversion process.

I chose Apple TV 2 because it has general presets that work best with my streaming system... BUT I wanted to see the video bit rate 2000 (CBR).

Because the default settings returned a video bitrate of 1204 Kbps, I reran the conversion at 2500 Kbps (my personal preferred setting).

Apple TV 2 default (mp4, H264, 2 500 video bitrate)
Output file: 1.91 GB

Michael R. When buying a version, which enables trimming:
(1) Can trimming be frame-accurate?
(2) Is native reencoding supported, so no quality-loss at all?
(2b) For which video-types this lossless re-encoding is supported?

Can I check these trimming-features in a trial-version?

SoftCollector Dear Wonderfox Support,

here are a few ideas for you:

1. Get rid of the two different titles – DVD Video Converter and HD Video Converter – and just sell 1 thing. I know everybody else is doing it (IMToo, DVDFab, Xilisoft), but it is simply a rip-off and gets clients confused and angry. Both titles do almost the same and the difference is not enough to warrant the extra charge, so let's be practical and client-orientated.
2. For DVD Video Converter – include an option to disable protection removal. I have AnyDVD installed and it does a perfect job, so no need to waste 15 hours on transcoding a DVD movie on a state of the art computer. :)
3. Include more profiles and manual tweaking of bitrate, etc. – no need to include a multitude of mobile devices, as most of them are capable of playing all formats with the correct video player. I have Samsung Galaxy Note 2 with MX Player Pro and it simply plays everything I throw at it, so what good is a separate Samsung Galaxy Note 2 profile?

I can assure you that if you implement these changes, your sales will sky-rocket. :)

Kind Regards,
SC

Bubba Smith WOW! I never post software reviews - but had to comment on this one.

This was hands down the fasted converter I've come across. And I've tried a LOT of them (WinX, Wondershare, Xilisoft, Aimersoft, Aiseesoft, HandBrake, Magjix,Freecorder).

I downloaded it at 3:38PM...installed it, threw 3 full length FLV movies at it (200mb, 500mb, 600mb) , and had all three converted with great quality to MP4 by 3:54.

I'm running Vista home. My machine is a relatively old (over 3 years) HP with an AMD Phenom 4-core processor and 3GB of ram.

Scott Van Leeuwen Hello. I have to be critical here. The software that you are giving away for free which states has ove 100 conversion methods does not even have the most basic which is ISO output.. I could spend $14.95 and upgrade to a lifetime of software updates, but I have to trust you to include the ISO format, which you may or may not do. I am also somewhat concerned that none of you software even mentions blu ray support for future editions. Even then if you do bring out Blu Ray support, I can only as sue it will be an entirely different software product and not come under my lifetime of upgrades.

Perhaps come back to this site when you have more to offer than what is out there. DVDShrink which is freeware will make and ISO for me.

Bob Feigel OK - I just purchased WonderFox DVD Video Converter - Life-Time License. But it took me some effort to figure out which product was which. I agree with SoftCollector. Get rid of all the confusing names. Get rid of HD Video Converter Factory Pro and stick with WonderFox DVD Video Converter.

Apply the KISS principle.

1.Yes.Trimming can be keyframe-accurate.
2.When reencoding,the origianl parameters will be preserved,so no quality-loss.
3.Certainly you can.

If you still have any question, you can also send an email to supportvideoconverterfactory.com. :)

@clyde janson You can import a Subtitle Text into a Video.SRT and ASS subtitles are supported. :)

Thanks for your feedback.
For all the three points you mentioned, the next version of DVC will support! And we believe it'll work better than many other DVD video converters. What's more,we offer a relatively low price.

Michael R. Thanks for the answers above.

Living in a country, where posessing software, which does unprotect protected DVDs is illegal, I suppose I have to get the HD-version (and not the DVD-version) of your selection.

So, with the HD-version, can I still access to (unprotected) DVD-Files (which should be .mpeg-files) and can I modify the sub-titles of them? I did not find any explanation of this subtitle-handling in your online-help.

I just downloaded and played around with it some minutes:

Now about my questions before (and your answers):

If I get it right I can only split a video-file once, i.e. define a continous part of the original-video, as the region, I want to keep. If I want more splits, I would have to import the same video again, define another single region and having all these regions defined, I have to merge these clips. Not very comfortable...
I suppose this is the same for applying effects to a clip.

Another thing I found out, while doing splitting: There is a button saying 'Next fame' (or 'previous frame'), but my video (.3gp) does not jump to the next frame, but to some frames later about a second away. Maybe it means the next key-frame (k-frame). If I can set my markers there I would have live with an overhead of 1-2 seconds. That isn't frame accuracy...

And yet another thing: I failed to say the converter, NOT to convert the original video-format at all: I want to let it completely unchanged, because only this way no re-encoding would be possible - it's a kind of copying instead - and only without re-encoding the quality of the destination is the same one as the original-one.

I am no expert, so I can't say, if it is possible to exactly keep the original-quality if a cut/split does not start at the beginning of a k-frame (and in which video-formats this would be possible), but I could live with a small quality-loss in these small regions between the desired start up to the next k-frame. Perhaps you can tell...

Sorry, not much time left 'til closure, I better stop now and post it...

Patryk Kowalski Hi, I would like to know what exactly the sites with videos this program supports. In the specification is the information that the program supports more than 20 sites, but what exactly websites is supported. The program unfortunately does not allow the download content from the myvideo.de. Also dailymotion.com :( Maybe in the future will be able to :)
When trying to download a video from vimeo.com appears an error message [Error! Please check your network connection, then try again.] Network connection is ok, properly downloading video files from youtube.
It would be great if you could convert video files into a RMVB.

I went through the purchase process and it said it would send an email (I have always gotten any of my BDJ purchase emails...both free and bought products in the past) and no email. That wasn't actually quite what I asked.

I realise that the offered version is not updatable, but I wanted to know if the fact that I already had version 7.5 meant that I couldn't use this giveaway to get version 7.6, which is what the fine print possibly implies.

Actually I decided to go for the paid 5 computer lifetime licence.

However now I'm further confused: I had assumed that 'lifetime' meant that upgrades would be available without further payment, but the fine print with the licence says:

'Upgrades to future versions of the software will require additional payment.'

Which is exactly the same as with the free offer version!

What exactly does lifetime' mean?
Jan 29 2015 at 11:13pm Copy Link
0
Stephen C @Tony Haynes

1. For giveaway version user, the upgrade is NOT FREE
2. For paid version user, the upgrade is FREE for lifetime

That means if you have the version 7.6(free license) installed, the upgrade is not free.

If you have a paid license(5 PCs/$19.95), then you can enjoy the free upgrade.

Roc Assisi I have been unsuccessfully trying to play some mkv videos from my laptop to my tv using videostream and google chromecast. Whilst some mkv videos play nicely on videostream, these particular ones that I had, were not playing. So I tried converting these mkv videos into mp4 format which is the preferred format for chromecast devices.

The first attempt to convert a mkv video to mp4 failed. The converter I used was Aiseesoft Total Media Converter which I bought a few years ago. The resulting mp4 file was less than 100MB where the original MKV file was about 250MB. The mp4 file would only play audio with a black screen. I then tried AnyMP4 Video Converter Platinum. This failed as well with the same black screen. Then I tried using iSkysoft Video Converter Ultimate. This failed too. Perhaps the settings were wrong. But then, who would expect the common person to know much about settings? Finally I tried Wonderfox HD Video Converter Factory Pro 7. The conversion took more than 5 hours and the final MP4 video was a gargantuan 1.2GB file. But the MP4 played beautifully with both video and sound and could be casted to the tv with google chromecast. Overall I would rated the conversion a success and it left a lasting impression of Wonderfox as being the only Converter that succeeded in converting a difficult mkv video where three other converters failed. Can a representative from Wonderfox comment here whether there was anything I could have done to improve on the 5 hours conversion time and large converted filesize of 1.2GB? My system is a Thinkpad x61 Windows laptop with 4GB ram. I'm thinking of purchasing a lifetime licence...

Wow! Thanks for using our HD Video Converter Factory Pro. This is a real SD/HD/4K/8K video converter tool with perfect picture and sound.

About the conversion speed
Actually, this software provides fast conversion speed, much faster than competitors. Please note, it's much faster than competitors, NOT much faster than old version. So, The only explanation is you have the top encoder H265(or vp9) used. To test the speed, please convert your MKV to MP4 and keep default settings. I promise less than 10 minutes.

You can purchase the HD Video Converter Factory Pro on Bitsdujour E-commerce, the price is $14.95.

The last, I must confirm that you are not my colleague, right? Just a joke, thanks for your nice words and hope you like our product. Please share our software with your friend if you like it. Thanks.

Syr Puk I installed the free version. I tried to convert DVD to AVI - can not.
Then I try to MPEG, wrote to the size of 2.7 GB, but the reality it has 3.84 and it does not go smoothly. I have yet to try DV, wrote a size 6.3, but it has 18.4GB. omg ? It's a BIG ! All settings is default. The second CD the same.

DVD to AVI, can you tell me the details?

DVD to MPG, 2-5G is normal, DVD to MPG just a copy process(MEPG encoder = DVD encoder = MPEG2), you can see the speed very fast.It will not be transcoded, so .... The picture quality as same as orginal DVD.

DVD to DV, 6.3G is normal, because DV has 9,000~15,000 high bitrate. However, the 18.4G is impossible. Because the DVD bitrate is 9800 kbps, DV's bitrate is 9,000~15,000. In most, DVD size is 7GB.

Foto User Thanks.
I installed this in Ubuntu, using Wine, yesterday.
And it works, for the best part.
So that's good.
Converting speed is slow, but then, it's not expected to be fast, it is not made for Ubuntu.
The resulting MP4-file is very good, compared to other converters I have used with the same settings. Crisp.
Pity that I get this "Wonder Fox DVD Video Converter can't load DVD because the DVD is open in another program, please close this program and try again.", which happens every time, with no other program running at all.
WDVC recognizes the DVD-player and starts the opening process, but then stops and gives that message.
And that is a real pity, because that is what I need the most.

Software Babe Just as a reminder that every time you INSTALL software, you are weighing your OS down just a little bit more. Eventually, you will have to reinstall the OS for a fresh start. Not all Software Engineers (Programmers) are diligent in streamlining their code. We are not all equal. Therefore, unless you know FOR A FACT that the software is not excessive in its bogging down your system, do not install SETUP/INSTALL software. Believe, there are so many alternatives out there that are portable and free, why would you cause irreparable damage to your OS?

I suggest that you try to use PORTABLE apps as much as possible, especially those that do not change your registry. Then, just create SHORTCUTS to the desktop. Read the instructions carefully as it should tell you if it changes anything on your system or not. GOOD portable apps, such as those found on portableapps.com and freewarefiles.com will tell you up front exactly what the software does and if it changes anything on your OS.

I stopped installing software long ago and you should all think about that, as well. It may just allow you to maintain your system longer.

I would buy the license of the best encoding software of yours between these. Thanks.

feral1 What I don't understand is the version shown is V 8.6. However when I go to the web site and look for what is the current version, even attempting to purchase the software, I see no reference to a version number to compare if this offer is all about giving away and old version or hoping for a later subscription. Soooo, I did not want to buy the lifetime anything until I know what the latest version number is. If it is like 10 or 11 then the upgrade might be worth it. If 8.6 just came out I might feel it is better judgement to try it for some time and spring for the difference later if it proves competitive.

So what's the version currently being sold as the newest and best?

Robert Crombie I am unsure what the exact term is for normal DVD files ?
Is it Mpeg 2 or is it VOB ?
Anyway, say you had a DVD that is 6GB (dual layer)
Can this program save it to your hard drive (either as Mpeg2/vob or ISO) ?
In other words it removes protection, and the output is the same size and quality ?

T. Voe I bought the version with lifetime upgrade yesterday (both DVD and HD converter), but in the confirmation I was told that updates would invalidate this.

Constantin Florea @T. Voe, This is a known issue with our system: we only have one license policy and that applies to the giveaway item but is sent in the receipt emails for all items which are purchased. We are aware of the issue and have it logged in our Issue Tracker.

However in the name of each purchase item we have added words related to the upgrade policy (for example Lifetime upgrades or Paid Upgrades) to make clear how the upgrades apply for that purchase item. For example in the case of this promotion, we have this:
WonderFox DVD Video Converter - Paid upgrades and must be registered within 3 days v8.8 ($0)
WonderFox DVD Video Converter (1 PC) - Lifetime upgrades ($19.95)
WonderFox DVD Video Converter (5 PCs) - Lifetime upgrades ($44.95)
WonderFox HD Video Converter Factory Pro - Lifetime upgrades ($14.95)

This means that the giveaway item (the one prices at $0.00) has paid upgrades and the other 3 items (the up-sells and cross-sells) have lifetime upgrades.

Constantin Florea @Luther, I see you have indeed purchased WonderFox DVD Video Converter (1 PC) - Lifetime upgrades. This means that the license key you received works only with this product. David Mescheloff Hi! I downloaded and registered successfully - but it doesn't work! First of all, it doesn't even identify my DVD drive. Then, when I just use "Add Files", opened them from the DVD drive, the program doesn't convert them to AVI. It gets stuck on "Please wait - this process will take up to 30 seconds", and does nothing. Any solutions?

Software Seeker @Steven Barnett: Maybe the iTunes files are DRM-protected and the software cannot deal with them for that reason.
Mar 6 2016 at 11:02am Copy Link

Steven Barnett @Software Seeker the web site talks a lot about removing encryption, so it seemed reasonable that they would handle iTunes encrypted files. I guess that's not going to happen. I suppose it's the subtle difference between DRM and encryption that I missed.

Just glad I didn't pay for it on this occasion. Sadly, getting my films out of iTunes and on to something I can play on my TV in my main driver.

SoftCollector Be ware! I bought WonderFox DVD Video Converter (1 PC) on BitsduJour on 2014-03-18 with the lifetime upgrade option, but Wonderfox seem to invalidate "old" serial keys with every new version released. You have to contact support every time and ask for a new serial, although you have bought the lifetime upgrade! I realized yesterday that this had happened again (the 3rd or 4th time now) and sent them an email asking for help... No answer. If I do not get the new serial, guess what happens with my "lifetime upgrade"?

SoftCollector Just wondering if anyone from BitsDuJour can address the issue I raised above, if the maker of the software has no comment? My lifetime upgrade license was bought on your site and I paid you the price as specified, so not being able to use serial with newer versions of the software is a direct breach of the license agreement.

John User I've previously downloaded and installed various 'free' products from Wonderfox. IMO they are pretty good and do the job intended. However, I have also noticed after a short period of time nag screens start to appear asking you to pay for their full version. One even threw up a nag screen that blocked the usage of the program itself. I uninstalled the program. Since that experience, I have stayed away from Wonderfox's free offerings - there are other free video converters out there that do the job. Personally, I am now using HD Video Converter Factory Pro without any issues.

User1 @ SoftCollector You take the good with the bad. That happens a lot with kitchen table software companies, especially half a world away. "Lifetimes" can be very short, indeed. Contacting mini-businesses is hit-or-miss, and there is no recourse. I still like to support a few of them in hope of finding a gem. Good luck.

RS SoftCollector: I have had a similar experience, though not with a purchase. I received several keys as gifts in an offer WonderFox extended to educators. I had to jump through several hoops, and, in return, was sent keys that were represented as lifetime.

A little over a year later, when I purchased a new computer, I went to install these titles, and found the keys were invalid. I contacted WonderFox to inquire, and a representative confirmed that they were lifetime keys. However, no solution was provided, and my repeated efforts to acquire new keys have been ignored. I have sent five separate emails (after the first message) over a period of several months, and never received a single response. It is interesting that they responded to my initial question, but not to requests to resolve problems with keys that they apparently invalidate.

The software is generally good, but I would caution prospective users from buying a lifetime license from a company that doesn't honor the terms of purchase, and then ignores you when you request assistance. This seems to happen too frequently to be an oversight. Perhaps a WonderFox representative will respond to our comments, and provide us with an explanation. Of course, keys that work would be even better.

Cary Adams @SoftCollector... I too bought the lifetime license and have gone through multiple upgrades without incident. But I may be able to point you to the issue you're seeing...

Because I'm anal, I often relocated the Wondersoft folder the installer places in in my Documents folder. After doing this numerous times, I realized that deleting these folders invalidated my license codes, When I stopped doing that I never again had a failed Wondersoft license. Perhaps you are doing this as well.

IMO this is the best converter available in terms of speed, image quality and conversion types. I'm extremely please with the lifetime license I purchased here at BDJ.

@John User... I simply block the free app at the firewall. Never have had a problem.

SoftCollector Well, I have been testing WonderFox DVD Video Converter for 3 years now and it tries to do a lot of things (including YouTube downloads), but would not be my first choice at any of those activities. Ripping and converting is done quickly (and there is indeed the removal of DVD protection, which is awesome), but resulting files are big and quality is not there. YouTube downloading has never worked as intended, as for some reason the versions with the best quality on YouTube (HD, etc.) are not even listed as possible downloads. This has never been fixed, although it has been pointed out on numerous occasions.

Now, these problems with "the lifetime upgrade license" are truly unfortunate and take problems to a whole new level. If a software maker cannot be trusted to honor their own license, then they should not be trusted with your money either.

Steve Smith Anyone with a lifetime license can go to this link and retrieve an updated license that will activate the software. Wonderfox creates a special folder in the document folder that has a file that stores the license key.

SoftCollector @ Steve Smith – thank you for providing this link. Please, note that storing anything in the "documents folder" is unwise, as Windows needs to be reinstalled every now and then at which point all files on C:\ are deleted.

Home User I purchased this product and it was release 8.8 when I purchased it. It upgraded to 9.0 and also 10.0 with the same license. When I tried to install 11.0 it said invalid key. Same problem with 11.1. I contacted Wonderfox and told them about the problem. They sent me a new license key which the program accepted but now after I convert a file a dialog box comes up and says I need to purchase a paid version. I already have a life-time version I purchased. I sent another email about the new license that was sent to me. They replied back that they thought I had a giveaway version. I sent them an email of the receipt I got when I purchased the software. No reply yet! Not happy with their support. This had been dragged out for several days. Like the software but not the support. Currently reinstalled version 10 since it is the last version supported by my original key and works perfectly. Buyer Beware!

SoftCollector @ Stephen Thank you for clarifying this. The serial you sent works. I hope such changes are not too often in the future (new serial numbers have been introduced at least twice over the period of 3 years in which I have been using your software). I would suggest responding to support requests, and especially ones having to do with a serial not accepted, in less than 48 hours, which seems to be the norm at the moment.

Thomas User It's really sad, WonderFox Soft is *not* so wonderful:
For example, the used technology is *very* old - there is no H.265 encoder support.

Or if you try to cut a Video, it's a nightmare: there are no keyboard hotkeys to modify cut points and if you try to navigate frame by frame, it is *very* slow.

Even for free it's less useful than Open Source products :-(

Pavel User Thank you to developer and bitsdujour.com for offer, WonderFox video/audio programs are always very good improvement to ffmpeg etc.

To bitsdujour.com:- In last year I was purchasing HD Video Converter Factory Pro (of course via bitsdujour :-)) with one free bonus program - WonderFox DVD Ripper Pro. From e-mail info (-title: "BitsDuJour Software Receipt - HD Video Converter Factory Pro + WonderFox DVD Ripper Pro Lifetime License 1 PC (with free upgrade and technical support)") I was thinking that both are LifeTime versions with free upgrades/updates. Now I know that only first program is LT. Second (DVD ripper) is 'only' giveaway version 12 without upgrade to version 13… In text of e-mail was one sentence about 'additional upgrade payment' - but without concrete info and without any specific connection to DVD Ripper. Please, will be more specific in future…
Thank You again and have a nice day,
P.
P.S.
To bitsdujour.com again: I was seeing original or analogous offer (https://www.bitsdujour.co...actory-pro) and it was/is presented as LifeTime bundle (24.95 $), not 1 + 1 (bonus). Sorry, bitsdujour.com, maybe was sended bad lic. key for WonderFox DVD Ripper Pro (and it is not in the first place Your mistake). Support of developer (videoconverterfactory.com) is out of office until January 31, 2020, maybe they will send me info in next month...

Serious Noize For me this works great! I recently upgraded my graphics card, and I can tell that it is making full use of it and speeding things up significantly when ripping DVD's that I own NO DOUBT about that because my monitoring software shows it on a graph while ripping the DVD's I own.

I also tried DIVX Platinum I think was the name, but honestly, it was slower than this. And to be fair I tried Handbrake which is free and you can rip encrypted DVD's using a .dll file if you can find it, but Handbrake was HORRIBLE when it come to speed.

As for Quality, I really like all the options with this software and I like the added "Download Videos" option which probably means "You Tube" for the most part, but it's still a nice addition because sometimes I like to collect instructive videos from there.

Honestly, I don't have the money to purchase this right now, but I do plan on trying to purchase it in the future when I do even if it's a higher price because it does do what it claims to do.

Thank you BitsDuJour & WonderFox for this giveaway and opportunity!

charles User I just purchased lifetime license to Wonderfox video converter. It says free upgrade and technical support. However, I got an email after purchase that says:
Upgrades to future versions of the software will require additional payment. ????????? So what's up with that? Is this a lifetime license with free future upgrades as stated in the ad or do I have to pay for future upgrades? Just wondering how it can be a lifetime license and I have to pay for upgrades.

Constantin Florea @charles User, I am sorry about the confusion. The license title in the receipt email is the correct one. The license policy in the receipt email is valid only for the first purchase item, in this case that first purchase item has paid upgrades.

So you have a lifetime license with free upgrade & technical support.

Hourglass94 The fine print says transfer to another PC is not allowed. Is this for the free version or also the paid for versions.

I plan to have a new PC later this year and if I can't use this software on it I won't buy.

Thanks

Hi
Hourglass94,

If you buy the paid version, it is available on your new PC. At that time, you can remove the program and registration code from the old PC, and then reinstall the program on the new PC and fill in the same registration code.

Thank you so much for your support.

But the (resent) e-mail does not contain a licence key. The installed software appears not to be pre-registered... So, how to get the licence key?
Otherwise I will have to uninstall.

RichU There is a box with an arrow that says "Your download will start in a moment.

If you do not see it click here"... right click on the "click here" and select where you want to download the file.

on your download bar, (Chrome for me) Microsoft gives a message that the zip can't be downloaded securely (discard with an up arrow.) Click on the up arrow and select "keep". Your file should download.

For me, this only happens to me on bitsdujour site, since a windows update some time ago.

Hope this helps.

A S Tried to download from the provided email link twice but both times Windows Defender detected a Trojan within the zip file that would allow an attacker to execute commands, so I guess I'll pass on this download for now.

Constantin Florea @Johanos, You added your comment above but you didn't specify for which title you get the issue. I would normally assume that the issue you get is for the "WonderFox DVD Video Converter" title because this is the promotion page for it however I do not see this title in the Purchases page of your BitsDuJour account.

For which title do you get the issue you mentioned?

The issue you mention does seem to be one encountered for one of the other titles we have on promotion today specifically for "Revo Uninstaller Pro" and I do see "Revo Uninstaller Pro" in your Purchases page. Are you having this issue with "Revo Uninstaller Pro"?

Adam User If you got the registration code in email. You're good. The download link will not directly work. Right click and copy the link and open in a new browser window. paste into the URL and press enter. It will now download.
OR
Just download directly from their website @ https://www.videoconverte...converter/

Click the big green button that says "Free Download"
Install and up at the top near the right click "Register" and enter the key from your registration email.

Johnny User I've been a paid user of this program for several years, since auditioning it during a previous give-a-way. The program is routinely updated and the author has been responsive to the occasional question I've had. I liked Wonderfox's program, update policy and support enough, that, I also purchased another of his programs- HD Video Converter. I have the same report & regard for IT. You'll also see it appear occasionally on the daily give-a-way sites. I suspect you won't be disappointed with anything Wonderfox. That's MY recommendation.
