What are people saying about Wondershare PDFelement 7

CFGuy For Wondershare Rep,

I was all ready to buy several (at such an excellent price point!) licenses to your software " Wondershare PDFelement 6" as I do a lot of work with PDF files, in general. Besides the nice price, I was liking what I read "Looking to work with PDF documents, but don’t want to … get sucked into a neverending subscription model?" So far, so good, I thought. Until I reach the bottom of the product description and read "After you purchase Wondershare PDFelement 6, it may be used for 1 months." "Surely this must be a mistake" I thought (perhaps boilerplate text leftover from a previous "giveaway" offer her on BDJ (which this was not), so I proceed to the "Fine Print" (EULA) and read " After you purchase Wondershare PDFelement 6 it may be used for 1 month and will not function after that unless you renew your subscription. Upgrades to future versions of the software will require additional payment. Installing a new version may overwrite the existing version and invalidate your license key."

Is this arrangement not exactly what you began your product description with (alluding that your product offer is NOT) by using the terms "… get sucked into a neverending subscription model" and therefore an obvious contradiction to what you stated you feel software consumer DO NOT want? Please correct me if I am wrong here, but only allowing a consumer to use a product for 1 (one) month after purchasing a license, and then requiring the consumer to buy ("renew") the program's license (aka "subscription") to be able to continue using the program IS most definitely (in my understanding) forcing software consumers into (again, your direct quote from the first paragraph of your program's product deception) "… get[ting] sucked into a neverending subscription model"?
Either this is some type of mistake, or is one of the most concerning (subscription) program offering here on BDJ, as the first paragraph in the product description directly contradicts the last line of the product description, as well as the "Fine Print" (EULA).

As of right now, this offer still has over 19 hours remaining, so there is still plenty of time to either correct the contradictions (in the text sections that I pointed out), or for you to at least shed some insight as to what I (and surely other BDJ consumers will) see as contradictions (and I am hoping somehow inaccuracies/oversights) in this offer.

I mean you no disrespect, but I as a potential software consumer here on BDJ, I am just confused (and I have a feeling other BDJ consumer's will be as well) by the wording of the product description and the offer details/EULA. The program looks very good, and I am very aware of your company ("Wondershare") with instant name recognition among many software consumers (like myself) and a reputation that I believe is known to be very good within the industry.

So please enlighten me (us), as I do want to purchase a license (or multiple licensees) to your program, but as your program description so accurately stated, I am definitely not a big fan of "subscription-based" software products, or, (as you so accurately described the negative feeling many software consumers have " … get[ting] sucked into a neverending subscription model." Because if the final sentence of your product description and the "Fine Print"/EULA is correct (as I read them) than this (" … get[ting] sucked into a neverending subscription model" ) is exactly what will be happening if I purchase a license today under your current [stated] terms.

Peter Dr The first line from the BDJ offer:

Looking to work with PDF documents, but don’t want to ..... get sucked into a neverending subscription model?

The "Please note" on the website:

1. The PDFelement 6 (one month license) is valid for one month from purchasing date. Please download and use the software within one month.
2. If you don't want to pay the next month, then CANCEL the subscriptions , or you must keep paying ....

So what is the real offer here??

Constantin Florea Apologies about the confusion generated by the part of the phrase related to the subscription model. That part is now removed.

This offer is for the 1 month license of the product.
BitsDuJour Admin - Jul 18 2017 at 8:10am Copy Link
Bill Wallace 1 month license? No thanks.

BDJ - perhaps you should reconsider similar type offers, you are better than this.

styrobrain It should be noted that OCR is only available in the Pro version. A detailed feature comparison can be found at

Also, on the Wondershare website the Pro version (for Windows) is offered at 90 US$, supposedly down from 100 US$. This BdJ offer for the same version is thus 30% off, at best, but not 40%.

No complaints, just wondering and sharing.

JS Thanks for this, managed to get 4 x normal edition + 1x pro edition

Staley I was bummed that the sale states 40% off, but the Pro version is only 30% off. Still the product seems very solid and a good alternative to Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Joe M I bought the pro 6 version awhile ago and then upgraded to the new pro 7 version. The one thing I liked about the programs was their OCR function and it high level of accuracy in recognizing scanned text or existing PDF files. Other programs that I have that do OCR of PDF files and will make a searchable document, but they don't convert the text to crystal clear text. It looks the same as it was when first scanned. In PDF Element 7 (and 6) after, doing the OCR, it allows me to convert the text so that it looks like it was just typed. With a bit of practice it is fairly easy to correct or insert new text.
