As to the new Youtube H.264 format, currently YouTube Downloader doesn't support other formats other than FLV. The new H.264 foramt you mentioned mainly refers to MP4. We will forward our developers to take this function into account in the next upgrade. However, we do have Streaming Video Recorder which supports all kinds of video formats downloading, including the new YouTube H.264 format. Good Guy To John Gilchrist

If you are a Firefox user, you can take a look at the Video Download Helper extension. It allows you to save the HQ videos in MP4 format as well as the FLV format ones. It probably doesn't do multiple downloads etc, but it should help you to get an individual HQ video.
