Jim Miller I have a JVC Enverio GZ-HD7 and that creates video in a TOD format, will Xilisoft be able to convert this to a format that can be saved to DVD and played back on a DVD player through a TV?

Shore Wm Sorry, but while your English is much better than my Chinese, the "But, please note, majority functional upgrade may charge you less." makes no sense. Personally I hope the upgrades AREN'T all free because every company that does that disappears without a trace [this isn't the 80's anymore guys..]. So my question is does the upgrade to the next major version cost a reasonable upgrade price or is it really free (meaning you'll be going out of business shortly..)

(again) Does it convert from .mkv files to other formats?

I tried to convert a movie from a set of DVD-9 files (.IFO/.VOB files ripped from a DVD movie disc) to an .AVI movie. I selected the VIDEO_TS *FOLDER* (not individual files) as the source. The actual movie consisted of six files (VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VOB, ..., VTS_01_6.VOB) within that folder. I wanted a single .AVI file as the output. Instead, it created six separate .AVI files. I see no way to combine these into a single .AVI file.

Can the program not do this???

And thanks for your suggestion, I will answer you here not to our support team. The following are the reply: Our Video Converter do not support .sub files, we support .srt, .ssa and .ass format. 1. If subtitles are integrated into the source video file, do they get included in the output file? Answer: Yes. 2. If there are >1 integrated subtitles (>1 languages), can user select which of them to include in output file? Can user set which one will be the default? Answer: Yes, user can select one of the subtitles, but only one subtitle will be included in the output file. 3. If there are external subtitle files (e.g., .srt, .sub, .ssa) with the source, can they be integrated into the output file? Answer: Yes, except the .sub files. 4. For subtitles integrated into output files, can user select font, size, placement? Answer: Yes. In the Effect sub window, user can select font, size, position, etc. How does it handle audio tracks? 1. bob roos I did a quick trial and it does what I need. Easy to clip segments (and you can have several and join them), easy to convert. One small glitch, I could not set a UNC output path in preferences BUT I could output to the path if I stayed out of preferences. I converted from trial to paid. Nice program. Sort of a Swiss Army Knife of video.

Here is the answer: Create Merged Item Select multiple files and click "Merge Selected Item into One" button on the toolbar to merge the selected files into one and create a merged item in the file list. Tip: Only the files of same kind can be merged. E.g. video files cannot be merged with pictures.
