HD I would NOT buy it. YouTube Download used to work bu even with the latest release it does NOT work. That's why they are trying to give away as a fire sale through BitsDujor.

There are a lot better programs out there which guarantees 100% satisfaction.

Lonny User although not a lot of money I took the two year plan, it cost me $10 canadian but it is a trick, I can only download videos up to around 30 minutes if you want more you have to upgrade to pro with 80% off & it is still $35 a year, it never said anything about this before I bought it, I have 4k downloader & it cost me $10 a year discount price , unlimited downloads, I hate those trick companies, please REFUND me ASAP, I have had enough of those kind of companies.

YTD Also, this issue could appear because of the antivirus software used by you. A antivirus/firewall could be blocking the connection to our server.

You can try to fully disable the antivirus/firewall protection and see if the issue persists. Please check your antivirus/firewall settings in order to add YTD to the allowed programs and receive the right protection.

The error you mention can happen if you use a proxy or VPN or have other software that intercepts the connection and acts like a man-in-the-middle. Check your settings, and if using a proxy or VPN, try instead to connect directly.

Nelson Therrien @Indusekar SK if it's not working with YT, then this is completely useless...

Not too surprised, though, because I remember that we had installed in on my wife's computer and we stopped using it... That's probably because new updates in YT resulted in the fact that it's not working with it anymore (just wasn't 100% sure if it was that tool or another, and their comments said it was working, but it's not)...

According to the software, it works with personal videos, but I remember having tested that as well and it doesn't even work...

Kevin D I tried installing the Pro version, but unfortunately you can only try the Free version, not the Pro version being offered here. I like to support software developers, but without being able to test the capabilities of software, it's just not a go for me.

L. D. User Well according the the list of sites that are listed on their website that this will download from... it apparently will NOT download content from either YouTube nor Netflix.

YouTube is the most common website that I personally would mainly need this for, so I guess I'll be pasing this offer up today!

kydara I see Facebook on the list, which is ok, and Vimeo which is good too, and a bunch of porn sites, but no Wistia, which would be very useful for me since I watch a lot of webinars that are hosted on Wistia.

bvssunnydale Hi, I don't know about official policy but I just used it to download a Youtube video yesterday (worked fine then). Your mileage may vary, of course [ I like to have multiple options - I also frequently use Reel Downloader by Vishukani too]. The only thing I don't like about this is the annual subscription fee (be advised).

CFGuy @YTD Video Downloader - I have been a loyal and avid IDM user for many years now to download not only my videos but also anything else from the web. Lately I have been disappointed in IDM's ability to download video files (it seems "hit or miss" recently), so this is the first time I have considered an alternative program. WHat concerns me about YTD is the issue of "subtitles". I saw on the FAQ section of your website that regarding the issue of "downloading videos with subtitles using YTD", "YTD will download only the original video. The subtitles are separately introduced in it and will not be downloaded by YTD". The subtitle files are also separate downloadable files using IDM,; however there is the option to download them (after instructing the program to download the original video), and as long as the two files are located in the same directory, when a video downloaded with IDM plays, that has a matching subtitle file. the subtitles will automatically begin to be superimposed on the video". I am gathering from what I read on your website, that YTD is not able to do this, which would pretty much be a "deal breaker" for me (because I love and frequently use subtitles). Please let me know if this is indeed the case, and if so, do you plan on incorporating the ability to download subtitle files in future versions of YTD? Thanks so much. -Cfguy

Louis Gedo I downloaded the trial, installed it and followed all instructions. After pasting the correct URL and hitting "Download" the progress bar has remained at 0% for nearly 10 minutes already.

Donald User I noticed that the most-used video site (most used by me, anyway), YouTube, is not on the list of sites supported. In fact, none of the other sites I visit are there. I recommend anyone interested go to their website and check their list of sites supported.

Yes, I agree. I thought at first this was a good price for a YouTube downloader but I saw that it isn't supported. I also found out it's subscriptionware, not a lifetime license, which means I would be renewing the license periodically to keep using it, and probably not at the $4.99 price, either. I found a free one that works on YouTube. It may not work on other sites, however, so in that sense, this may be better for someone who uses the supported sites.

It may be a great value for some, though, especially if the sites they use don't make it easy to download videos.

Raymond Callan You can't uninstall this app - either through Windows Programs & Features or using a 3rd party app - Revo Uninstaller Pro. As a matter of fact, the program doesn't even show up in the list of apps!!

It does as advertised & is a good program BUT not being able to uninstall it raises red flags.

If there is something I'm missing, please enlighten me.

P.S. The fine print says that you can install/register the software at any time. Does this mean I can hold on to licence till my current subscription ends & then add licence bought today to add 1 or 2 years from that point or does the clock start running when I buy?? I had problems in the past with this - I had to contact the company to remind them of this clause they seemed not to know about. Got it worked out but shouldn't have had to waste my time trying to prevent company reneging on their terms!!

The amount being charged here matches NEARLY exactly the price being shown on their web site, with one important difference.
The web site talks about cost per month.
If I purchase the 2 year offer on BitsDujour (this page) will that cost me only $6.68 ?
IE a single payment of $6.68 that will be all I pay ?

What we can suggest is that you try to purchase at a different time via PayPal (for example in 15 - 20 - 30 minutes). We encountered this issue as well before and the most success we had with working around it was waiting for some time and then trying to purchase again.

Robert Crombie Just a heads up for those having trouble -
I purchased the 2 year option above.
I received an email with downlead link, and a key.
I used W11 and Chrome to download, and I paid with PayPal.
It installed the pro version, and I pasted in the key.
I compared a you tube video downloaded by Allavsoft with YTD. They both gave the same size download.
I don't like where YTD stores the download (down a mineshaft with One Drive in the pathname). I hope that I am not using One Drive ? ? ?
If anyone finds the setting to change where the downloads go to, please let me know ?
