Also, what version of YTD Downloader is this?

I had a version from last year that worked fine with Youtube... but stopped being able to download Youtube content earlier this year, and even after replacing it with the latest version (at the time) about 6 or 7 months ago, still couldn't download Youtube videos with it.

HD I would NOT buy it. YouTube Download used to work bu even with the latest release it does NOT work. That's why they are trying to give away as a fire sale through BitsDujor.

There are a lot better programs out there which guarantees 100% satisfaction.

I have stopped using YTD Downloader completely, and uninstalled from my system

Lonny User although not a lot of money I took the two year plan, it cost me $10 canadian but it is a trick, I can only download videos up to around 30 minutes if you want more you have to upgrade to pro with 80% off & it is still $35 a year, it never said anything about this before I bought it, I have 4k downloader & it cost me $10 a year discount price , unlimited downloads, I hate those trick companies, please REFUND me ASAP, I have had enough of those kind of companies.

I should got the PRO version, it was not the money, it was I only could download videos 30 min or less, if I could have downloaded longer videos I could not care less if it was PRO or not, if it is PRO let me know and I will buy again, sale ends in 7 hours

YTD Also, this issue could appear because of the antivirus software used by you. A antivirus/firewall could be blocking the connection to our server.

You can try to fully disable the antivirus/firewall protection and see if the issue persists. Please check your antivirus/firewall settings in order to add YTD to the allowed programs and receive the right protection.

The error you mention can happen if you use a proxy or VPN or have other software that intercepts the connection and acts like a man-in-the-middle. Check your settings, and if using a proxy or VPN, try instead to connect directly.

Nelson Therrien @Indusekar SK if it's not working with YT, then this is completely useless...

Not too surprised, though, because I remember that we had installed in on my wife's computer and we stopped using it... That's probably because new updates in YT resulted in the fact that it's not working with it anymore (just wasn't 100% sure if it was that tool or another, and their comments said it was working, but it's not)...

According to the software, it works with personal videos, but I remember having tested that as well and it doesn't even work...

Kevin D I tried installing the Pro version, but unfortunately you can only try the Free version, not the Pro version being offered here. I like to support software developers, but without being able to test the capabilities of software, it's just not a go for me.

L. D. User Well according the the list of sites that are listed on their website that this will download from... it apparently will NOT download content from either YouTube nor Netflix.

YouTube is the most common website that I personally would mainly need this for, so I guess I'll be pasing this offer up today!

kydara I see Facebook on the list, which is ok, and Vimeo which is good too, and a bunch of porn sites, but no Wistia, which would be very useful for me since I watch a lot of webinars that are hosted on Wistia.

bvssunnydale Hi, I don't know about official policy but I just used it to download a Youtube video yesterday (worked fine then). Your mileage may vary, of course [ I like to have multiple options - I also frequently use Reel Downloader by Vishukani too]. The only thing I don't like about this is the annual subscription fee (be advised).

CFGuy @YTD Video Downloader - I have been a loyal and avid IDM user for many years now to download not only my videos but also anything else from the web. Lately I have been disappointed in IDM's ability to download video files (it seems "hit or miss" recently), so this is the first time I have considered an alternative program. WHat concerns me about YTD is the issue of "subtitles". I saw on the FAQ section of your website that regarding the issue of "downloading videos with subtitles using YTD", "YTD will download only the original video. The subtitles are separately introduced in it and will not be downloaded by YTD". The subtitle files are also separate downloadable files using IDM,; however there is the option to download them (after instructing the program to download the original video), and as long as the two files are located in the same directory, when a video downloaded with IDM plays, that has a matching subtitle file. the subtitles will automatically begin to be superimposed on the video". I am gathering from what I read on your website, that YTD is not able to do this, which would pretty much be a "deal breaker" for me (because I love and frequently use subtitles). Please let me know if this is indeed the case, and if so, do you plan on incorporating the ability to download subtitle files in future versions of YTD? Thanks so much. -Cfguy

Louis Gedo I downloaded the trial, installed it and followed all instructions. After pasting the correct URL and hitting "Download" the progress bar has remained at 0% for nearly 10 minutes already.

Why would this software not be working?

Donald User I noticed that the most-used video site (most used by me, anyway), YouTube, is not on the list of sites supported. In fact, none of the other sites I visit are there. I recommend anyone interested go to their website and check their list of sites supported.

Yes, I agree. I thought at first this was a good price for a YouTube downloader but I saw that it isn't supported. I also found out it's subscriptionware, not a lifetime license, which means I would be renewing the license periodically to keep using it, and probably not at the $4.99 price, either. I found a free one that works on YouTube. It may not work on other sites, however, so in that sense, this may be better for someone who uses the supported sites.

It may be a great value for some, though, especially if the sites they use don't make it easy to download videos.
