While both Cloud and local backup serve the same function of data protection, the Cloud backup is is an offsite method that stores data away from the reach of natural calamities that may destroy it locally. It is easy to scale-up the storage on need. Also, when using Cloud backup, you are assured of quick availability of data whenever you need it since information is all available online.

As for your second query; your data will be immediately uploaded to the Cold Storage servers.

Genie9 @JesusInsideMe, Since this is Cold Storage, you cannot have the data back instantly. You need to give Zoolz 3-5 hours to request and prepare it for you.

Zoolz @Yossi User, If you do not renew your subscription at its due date, your Zoolz account will become expired, which means that you will not be able to use it for making backups or to restore data from it.

If your account stays expired for 60 consecutive days, it will automatically get suspended then deleted. This is the only way to keep the service available for all active users.

Lonny User great deal for $50 a year but what happens after the first year? do you get another 5TB storage? so in total that would be 10TB after 2 years, into the 3rd year do another 50TB be added, if it is only 50TB for say 5 years that would be $250 for 5 years, then if so not a good deal, I have a 8TB I bought in Christmas for on sale $200 & it is half full already, I also have two 4TB & two 2TB HDs.

Zoolz @Lonny User, Kindly note that the offered storage (5 TB) will not increase every year. The $50 is a yearly subscription you need to pay every year in order to keep enjoying the Zoolz backup service to the 5 TB Cloud storage.

At any time, if you fill up the whole 5 TB storage of yours, you can easily increase the storage, but the yearly subscription fees will also increase.
