Robert Bull @Raymond Mayeux: be warned that AZZ Cardfile appears to have been abandoned. I registered in 2009. It's still on the same version 4, which was new around then. The installer doesn't work properly with UAC and gives an error, “The Program has Changed, Reinstall.” See AZZ Cardfile blog posting, http://www.azzcardfile.co...l-message/ for descriptions of the problem and a user-contributed workaround. I suggest you would do better to look at NoteFrog, http://notefrog.com/indexgo.html , a young program, but very actively developed. It looks superficially like AZZ Cardfile, but there's a profound difference. In AZZ, the "live search" only works in the "Cards List" pane, the one at the left. If the text isn't in that pane, you have to brute-force search your notes, which is relatively slow. NoteFrog works in memory, and applies its live search to ALL text in a note, fast and effective. Robert Bull Just installed azzCardfile 4.1.08, 2011.11.19, the latest at the time of writing. I've installed it over an older copy that had the errors, and had to be manually set to work properly, per the blog post. The new version seems to install correctly on Vista Home Premium with UAC On, picks up its registration details, etc., no errors. It insists on its own data folder "\MyUserName\Documents\azzCardfile Files". My manually-corrected older version was pointed at a different but similar directory, so I've moved the files across and everything seems to be OK.
