Vanessa N Just a heads up that miraculously (given it took a while for Fantamorph to agree to be featured in the first place), this is being offered again on August 10th. Hope the two Peters see it...

Peter Dunston YIPPEE i will be buying this on the 10th THANKS ROGER, I have been waiting patiently for it. I appreciate for this price there will be no back-up disk with it and for that price I wouldn't expect one although it would have been nice. Will buying it through Bits Du Jour mean it will be the latest version of the software and will it allow us to obtain the future updates and stuff from Abrosoft?.

Hope you don't mind the questions just would like to know before I buy.

Thanks mate.

Peter Dunston Since writing my previous message (above) I have found all the answers to my questions so they do not need answering now.

What are you people out there planning to do about a back-up copy when you buy Fantamorph Deluxe next Tuesday?. Abrosoft offer a back-up CD for around $20 are you planning to buy it? or are you going to make your own back-up copy?.

I would like to make my own back-up copy and save the $20 but think I will buy one from Abrosoft because I'm not confident of doing it right myself with having the program already running under the one month trial period I don't understand how I will be able to copy to CD the installation file because the program is already running and won't they just send me the registration key numbers via my email?. As far as I know you can only copy an installation file to disc before it has been installed on your computer.

If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them before 10th August.

Vanessa N I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. You can always download the exe (executable) file at any time, and keep it on a flash drive (I have a flash drive full of installers; flash/SSD drives are a pretty stable form of media) or CD/DVD if you wish. You could even keep it attached in a draft email message (I use Gmail so it's always online), or an online storage site/website if you have one...

(I already own Fanta so I won't be buying it next week; I believe it's the same version 4 I bought before)

Peter Dunston As you might guess I'm not all that brilliant when it comes to saving back-up files and have never done it before. But I was to understand you can't copy and save to disc (or flash drive) an installation file once it has been installed and I have fantamorph deluxe trial version currently running. With have the trial version currently running when I buy it next Tuesday won't they just send me the registration key after I've paid because I already have the trial running which would mean I can't save the installation file if it's true what I have previously been told.

Sorry Vanessa i HAVE read you message (and Peter's) but I really need some help because it's all losing me here.

PS
Just read Vanessa's message again are you saying Vanessa you CAN save an installation file to disc or flash drive even if it has been installed and opened?.

Vanessa N Of course you can.

I'm an IT tech, so I carry around dozens of installers on my flash drive (and keep some in email/online, too). You can keep whatever you want, just make to only install per the licensing terms.
