AKVIS 75 USD is a price for Home license for the Plugin or Standalone version.
Here we offer Home Deluxe license, both Plugin and Standalone. 90 USD.

Manfred Lechner 1) You make a hardware footprint against licence abuse, is it CPU related only (what if I replace the hard drive, the network card, a graphics card etc?)

2) I have an old Mac G4 which has to be replaced quite soon. Ma next Computer is an outdated but already Intel powered MacPro; however I do not know how long it will work as I got it from a person that gave it away since it was not reliable enough - I may have to replace some hardware components though.

3) Whenever I switch to the next Mac, maybe in a little more than one year, is my license lost then??

AKVIS Transfer of a license to another owned computer allowed.
Each license offers two activations. If you change a computer we can add you activations.
This version is CPU related, but we will add support for GPU in future versions. Upgrade will be free.

Avi S I see from your website that you also offer this product as a plugin for Adobe Photoshop.
1] Are the capabilities of the two products identical?
2] Is there a corresponding discount on the plugin version?

JohnW2 This looks like a very useful program. However, I'd like to ask whether you'd consider offering a 'small discount' on the Alchemy bundle? I know you've already discounted the programs in that suite, but sadly the pension doesn't run to that amount of expenditure - and the photography these days could really do with all the help it can get!

Louis H Yeah, I gave up on getting the Alchemy bundle. Every time I would get close to having enough to make the purchase something else of a truly more necessary need comes up and there goes the money. It is a great deal, however, as it brings the price of each product down to less than 20$. What would be nice is a "lay away" option! :-)

Anyway, thanks for offering Chameleon Deluxe today. I went ahead and picked up a copy. Maybe over time you will offer others through BDJ and I can eventually pick up more of them. (Problem with that is that each individual program I pick up makes it less attractive to eventually get the bundle. It's a bit of a "Catch-22" type situation. It would be nice if there was an additional discount for the bundle which took into account if the purchaser already owned some of the individual programs. Just a thought.)

I only want to say that our bundles won't be available on coupons sites. Our bundles are our special offers for customers. They include discounts in their prices (from 30% to 60%) and available only via our store.

Louis H For clarification....

I was not asking about the Bundles being offered on BDJ. AKVIS already offers a wonderful and VERY attractive discount for The Alchemy Bundle!

I was bringing up the idea of AKVIS having an offer for The Alchemy Bundle similar to what some other companies offer.

One quick example comes to mind. Image-Line, the vendor for FL Studio, has a running offer of FL Studio plus all plugins. For folks who already own a number of the plugins, Image-Line has the offer set up to where it removes the plugins you already own and then adjusts the final price for the offer. It is nice because it also recognizes those folks who have been loyal customers all along who may not have been able to purchase the package deal previously.

Currently, other than wanting the plugins themselves, I find little incentive to pick up an occasional plugin from AKVIS until I can afford to purchase the full Alchemy bundle. (Something I will more than likely eventually do, by the way, whether AKVIS adopts my suggestion or not.)

If I knew that when the time came where I could afford the Alchemy Bundle that the price would be adjusted in accordance with the plugins I already owned, I'd be far more likely to pick up a plugin or two at higher prices over a month or two and then purchase the rest of the bundle when I had the adjusted amount covered by my monthly discretionary budget. (Photography and image manipulation is still at the "Hobby" level for me, and so my purchases for such products are budgeted for under discretionary spending.)

AKVIS certainly does not need to adopt my suggestion, and not doing so does not change the fact that The Alchemy Bundle remains a great deal. I do feel, however, that adopting such an adjustable pricing setup for those current customers who own a few of the plugins already would be a good business move.

Again, whether or not AKVIS was to adopt such an adjusted pricing system, I still very much appreciate the products you all produce and sell. And I find it fantastic that AKVIS has had such a wonderful upgrade policy over the years of providing free upgrades (Major and Minor versions) to their customers. That in itself demonstrates a commitment to one's customers that is not the norm among software vendors these days. (And it is why I am still committed to eventually picking up The Alchemy Bundle at some point in the, hopefully, near future.)

AKVIS Hi Louis, we usually do the same thing ;) If a customer has several program, he or she can contact us to get a discount for other our products... We are going to add this feature which will work in auto mode to the customer room, but now we can only process this manually, by emails ;) So do not hesitate to contact our team!

Louis H Learned a great lesson today about the need to get more specific clarification. I went ahead, over the past few weeks, and purchased some of the smaller bundles of other Akvis programs. I did so because I allowed myself to assume I understood what Akvis told me here in this forum meant that I would be able to get the rest of the programs of the Alchemy bundle as a "bundled" package deal with a discount based on how many programs I had left to purchase to own all of them. I heard back today that they do not do this but they did offer me a discount of 30% on each individual program.

That is a very nice offer, and I will indeed use it, but I will probably not be getting all of the other programs. If I had taken the time to get more clarification I would have never made my other purchases and would have continued to work towards a time when I would have been able to get all of the programs at the Alchemy 60% discount.

I do not blame Akvis for my mistake of assuming I understood what was being said. I read in to the words something that simply is not there as I re-read them at this time.

I am frustrated and disappointed, not with Akvis, but with myself for running with such an assumption.

Hopefully I will learn to get much clearer clarification if I am ever in this type of situation again.

I post this here as I hope that if anyone else might have assumed as I did, that an adjusted Alchemy bundle was an option if I already owned some of the other programs, you will not be disappointed to find out that is not what Akvis meant.

Again, this is NOT Akvis's fault. It is mine for reading into their words posted here, something they never said.
