What are people saying about Aml Pages Home License

Robert Bull There are many two-pane notes organisers. What, please, do you consider is really special about yours? I see it can import files, but can it import and export other popular formats such as KeyNote KNT or Treepad Lite HJT files, or import/export as simple delimited text? I'm not prepared to be locked into proprietary formats again.

Gosha Mazov 1) Aml Pages support import from tree of folders\files.
2) Aml Pages support export to files, to tree of folders\files, to CHM-format at special plugin Aml2CHM.

DroidLuvr I also don't see anything here to recommend this program; no previous testimonials, no compatibility with existing programs, etc.

I am a "take notes" freak, so I always take a look at new ideas for note programs. What will this do for me? The best I've found recently has been Evernote online with all the OCR capabilities and so forth that it has, could you tell me why I would want to buy this?

No insult intended, just a 2nd person's request for what is special here?

Metta Zetty I've reviewed a lot of the info on your web site, and it looks like Aml Pages has a lot of the features I've been looking for: Aml Assist, internal bookmarking, external shortcuts, etc.

However, the survey on your site leads me to wonder: is it NOT currently possible to create child notes in Aml Pages?

If not, how soon do you plan to incorporate this functionality? For me, it is a basic and essential feature.

Thanks.

Wocius Wei I've been trialing the program and it seems very nice, with some features lacking in other, similar programs. I particularly like the so-called Aml Assist Bar, which enables me to drag and drop into Aml Pages anything I copy.

It's not terribly attractive (i.e., the default fonts are not to my liking), but it is easy to reconfigure fonts, etc., and it's very powerful.

So, I bought it a couple of hours ago, but have not yet received my registration info -- which is necessary, because the trial has a limit of 36 (I think) items, which I have reached, even though it still has 39 days to run!

Herman Carnell McCrea It's been hours since I paid for my copy, too, and still no magic number/code.

Metta Zetty Why is the edit mode disabled on the 1st day of the free trial?! This is extremely frustrating and makes no sense at all -- especially since I was evaluating the software for possible purchase this evening! :-(

Wocius Wei It's now been 24 hours since I paid for the program and still no word from the developer with the registration info. I also e-mailed the developer via his website, and still no reply. Is it time for the BDJ folks to intervene?

@Metta: May be a little late for this, but if you quit the program and restart, it reverts to the edit mode -- until you reach the magic number of 36 entries, at which point it becomes useless.

Constantin Florea We're sorry about the registration issue. We have just contacted the vendor to help with sending the registration information.

Metta Zetty @Wocius Wei: Thanks for your feedback! Last night I discovered that a restart did the trick, and I was able to get back in to finish testing the software.

However, I eventually gave up on Aml Pages since there were several limitations I ran into with the text editor, there was no option for child notes and I couldn't get the external links and shortcuts to work, which was one of the main features I was interested in.
