Jonathan Keener Is there a difference between this software and the "Any Blu-ray Copy" software previously available on Bitsdujour from Anvsoft? The website link above goes to the "Any Blu-ray Copy" software and there is no mention of this application that I can see there. If they are truly different products offered by Anvsoft, is there any sort of comparison page to highlight the differences?

G L Ready to purchase. Worked with DVD format however tried Star Wars BD EP. 1 and reported an error.
After selecting Load BD/DVD and correct directory selected, program tried getting BD key. Stated this blue-ray can not be read temporarily, Try again later, etc...

Is there a lock on *some* BD or only work for full version of program to process ?

DroidLuvr This sounds like great software, but it doesn't seem the developer is around to answer questions?

That always worries me when their software is obviously being promoted... However, looking at their policy - this is about the best possible license I've seen here:
--Upgrades to future versions of the software will be free for the lifetime of the product.
--Support is provided for the lifetime of the product.
--Lifetime return policy.

Has anyone ever used this software? Any feedback about it: positive and/or negative???

Thanks!

William Kinard I have not gotten the program to work. Several BD's result in the same error as G L encountered. Several other BD's were read and I attempted to convert, however there was no converted file to be found. A file folder is set up for each attempt, however they are empty.
The Video Preview also does nothing.

I was about to make the purchase, but the program does not seem to work.

bethel95 I'm also concerned that the company name is different on the linked website than what BdJ states at the top of this page. Something about this deal really seems off.

BTW, I did find one side reference to "Any Blu-Ray Ripper Platinum" in a "how to" story about getting video files onto an Archos Android tablet. The author used the software to rip the DVDs in question (he didn't say if they were Blu-Ray disks, though) and reported no problems. That's all I could find, though.

Anon eMous The developer, after nearly 24 hours, has not bothered to show support for their software in any way. THAT is NOT a good sign. I too would like to rip my -commercial- movie DVDs to mp4 for playing 'remotely' on my tablets or from a hard drive player when visiting. The 'deal' should be continued so the developer at least has another chance to show some belief in their product. I'd also suggest that BdJ inform any developer that it is a good idea for them to be here during the time they expect us to -buy- their software - tell them 'cause they don't seem to always think of it.

Sam Calabrese I do understand it's the weekend and the developer may not be back to work until Monday. More worrisome is the response I got back from my email to tech support:

"Thank you for contacting Tune4mac.

A new ticket regarding your problem has been automatically created with ticket #[ xxxx] .

You can download the latest version of our Mac applications from
http://www.tune4mac.com/download.html

We will reply to you within 48 hours.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Regards,

Tune4mac Support Team"

I did NOT purchase a Mac application, as clearly shown in my receipt, order acknowledgment emails, and advertised in BDJ offers. Right at the top of this page it says "for PC". There is definitely some kind of mix-up happening...

Anvsoft Support Sorry folks, late again, the whole different time zone thing...

And...

Hi @ Jonathan Keener, there maybe a mistake on the placed link. I will change the setting and place the right link. Sorry about it. Besides, the blu-ray copy and the blu-ray ripper is different of course. And the biggest difference as far as i know is- blu-ray copy can copy blu-ray to hard disk while blu-ray ripper can not.

Hi @ G L, the trial version has no limit on functions. Some BD/DVD may not be supported until now. Our developers are trying to add more in the future versions.

HI @ DroidLuvr, sorry for my late reply. Too many things go around and spent a little holiday outside... LOL... Regarding to your question... Yes, our software supports life-time technical support and free to upgrade. You may also feel free to refund in 30-60 days. About the software, i strongly recommend you to take a trial and see how it works. Then you could decide to buy or not. :-)

Besides, if the software itself problem is why you want to cancel the purchase, you're welcome to refund at any time, no matter 30 days, 60 days or more... You have my word...
And thanks for your always support to us!

Mitch Kite I already bought this software a while ago. To date, i have yet to successfully copy a Blu-ray DVD. I think that it gets stuck on the copy protection. I am trying to copy all of my DVDs (that I legally own) to my media server. I have tried many times to rip my Blu-rays. No success. Not sure what the issue is. They claim to decrypt and bypass the copy protection, but I doubt that is true.

Anvsoft Support Hi @Mitch, I am sorry for the inconvenience. To be honest, i am not an expert of our blu-ray software and i have forwarded your mail to our support team. They will contact you shortly. Thanks for your support! :-)

Sam Calabrese UPDATE: 7/15/12 6:56 PM (USA PST) I received a reply from tech support with the correct hyperlink to the program:

http://www.dvdsmith.com/a...tinum.html

After the correct application was downloaded and installed, the registration key worked fine. Tech support responded quickly to the (unfortunate) errant hyperlink to the program, and it replied to my email as soon as the team returned to work on Monday (their timezone).

I've still to test the program so I cannot comment on that aspect.

G L There needs to be an adjustment on the description of
Any Blu-ray Ripper Platinum.

As per above message, "Besides, the blu-ray copy and the blu-ray ripper is different of course. And the biggest difference as far as i know is- blu-ray copy can copy blu-ray to hard disk while blu-ray ripper can not."

However WHY is the description for the Ripper Platinum states,

"Any Blu-ray Ripper Platinum can rip all encrypted blu-ray, DVD movies to general video formats inlucindg HD H.264, HD AVI, HD MPEG, MP4, MOV, M4V, AVI, etc.It is easy to convert video files from hard drive to popular video formats with Any Blu-ray Ripper Platinum."

That's the whole concept of being able to copy (rip) to hard drive in various formats. There needs to be a better description of actual usage and required software. That means both version need to bought.

Gustav Dawe Hi from germany.

I tried to rip my blurays - but I do not suceed!
On DVD the program did its job. But I bought it to rip my blurays.
Till now I donĀ“t get an answer to my request via the support.
So I think I take the refund option - what do I have to do?

Anvsoft Support Hi @G L, thanks for pointing it out. I will inform our support about it, to see if it is my misunderstanding or it has wrong described. :-)

Hi @Gustav Dawe, i am sorry for the inconvenience. Anyway, please feel free to refund if you are not satisfied with your purchase. I will contact you about it shortly.
