John Lots Only the upper and left parts of the program are visible, as it is apparently incapable of dealing with high dpi displays.. too bad... it looked like a nice idea.. but come on, in 2012 all programs surely should be dpi scaling aware.. (or don't mention Windows 7 compatibility!) - Surely a missed opportunity, but I'll have to pass on this one...

Ron Wichner Installed on 64-bit Windows 7 and registered OK.

But I can only see a part of what should be the full page and I can't expand it to see the full page. E.g., can't see output location.

Help file says this software does not work on 64-bit XP or Vista. No mention of Windows 7.

Cheryl Rutherford I just installed this software, entered the name and reg code you provided and I must say, whoever programmed this software, clearly did not know what they were doing. I am a Software Engineer and this is the poorest programming I have ever seen. The initial startup screen will not expand. IT IS POORLY MADE. IT IS BEING REMOVED and I suggest that everyone do the same. Sorry.

I am very disappointed in BitsDuJour and Anvsoft for not TESTING their software more thoroughly. TEST. TEST. TEST.
PLEASE TEST YOUR OFFERINGS BEFORE giving them out for free.

Very sad.

Simply said, Any DVD Cloner Express is less powerful than Any DVD Cloner.

Any DVD Cloner is a copier and a burner, same as Any DVD Cloner Express, but with more features (for example, you can choose language, configure options, customize titles, exit program, and perform different other tasks), and it.s also a DVD shrink software (ie you can cut any parts of the movies).

Gabrielle Please pardon a newbie here....but am I understanding things correctly? The program is "free for making 3 copies" but if you want to register it you must buy it for $19.99? Like George Avery said above, all I ever saw was a "continue to evaluate"/"buy now" message after downloading...I have no clue where to put the long registration code I received. (The program DID work to clone one Region 2 disk I have here....now says I have 2 "turns" left.)

I named and sent the clone to its own folder and am able to enjoy most, not all, of the features that were on the original (Italian) disk, but as for registering, Nope. Even when I clicked on the Buy Now tab, to see what was what, I was sent to a checkout form, STILL no mention of entering my code etc. So, is registering only after you've sent in money, and only the trial version is free...?
What am I missing, y'all??

Gabrielle My version swears, and I quote, that "the software currently running is an evaluation copy that can only copy 3 discs, and that I have copied one already" and it goes on with "after I purchase the product, I will receive registration name and code to unlock this limitation---Do I want to order it now?"

I can choose from only two tabs at the bottom---Continue to Evaluate, or Buy Now.

I already got the product and the code, but have not been prompted to place it anywhere. Oh well, I am able to view most features on the Region 2 disc I cloned, so it's all good....

There seems to be quite a bit of confusion about this program.
As for myself ,I had no trouble installing or registering it.
Curious about a couple of things: The Help file of the give-away Express version says that it's for 32 bit OS and no higher than Vista.

The website lists different System requirements:

The giveaway version will have no limited functions. Once you have registered, it is the same with a purchased one, completely work.
Besides, the software is a windows version which can be used on 32-bit & 64-bit Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, not win8 as Thurman D said above.

Thanks for your answer ,but I'm afraid there may be a slight misunderstanding.
I had no problem with registration ,but it was on a 32 bit OS.
My point was that the help file in the program, lists different system requirements from what you say and/or what's on the website.
The help file says that it cannot be used on a 64 bit system nor on Win7.
Please re-read my question in my previous post for exact wording.

Gabrielle Thank you for responding---but I did not GET a Help icon in any corner, or a drop-down menu at any point. Just the program's cloning screen (which I used) and requests to purchase (since I apparently have a trial version here).

It's cool, though---I can view much of my "L'Impero di Marmo" documentary without continued grumbling from my computer about changing DVD regions from NTSC to PAL and back:-)

It's more likely that they weren't updated to reflect the present capabilities of the software.
Which is a pity ,because several people were put off by the fact that
it seemed (according to the manual) that it wouldn't work on Win7 or 64 bit OS
You are right that in the meantime a few people reported a successful install on Win7-64 ,so I will try again.

Francis Thavenet use " anvsoft " as your user name then the codr they sent you.

I had same problem. think it says user name: anvsoft code: xxxx-xxxx-xxxx- etc. You probley usinh your name which will not work. Any way :anvsoft: is your user name. cut and paste the code and it should work. Hope this helps

Anvsoft Support @Joel Schrock Any DVD Cloner Express supports copying DVD on hard drive as DVD Folder or ISO Image File, burning DVD to DVD disc. So it does not supports ripping DVD to movie file or copying files from the disc but the advanced version: Any DVD Cloner Platinum (http://www.dvdsmith.com/a...tinum.html) supports your needs.

@Kol Yes, the trial version and the full version are the same. The only different between two is that limited three discs for trail version, unlimited DVD discs for full version. Hope you like the program.

Any DVD Cloner Express is nice and has a neat GUI, does what it says and is, well...express.
However, I have a critique point as well: it requires admin rights to be executed (at least on Win 7 64 bit) and thats a big nogo. The separation of administrator account and user account is actually by good purpose and meant, to protect the system, one should never do usual PC work under admin account, which is solely for making changes etc. to the system. While any software should be run under a normal user account.
Software that requires admin rights (other than software that is system software) is simply bad programmed as it makes the purposeful system protection in a limited user account obsolete.
And its really not useful for just copying a DVD to do that with admin rights as it does not make changes on system settings (at least it should not do that).

It would be great if the developers would adjust the program accordingly so it can be used without admin rights.

Anvsoft Support Well noted and we are working on the signature issue for the program currently. Hope you could wait for some time and we will release a newer version asap to fix the problem.

If you do not mind, you also could temperately change the User Account Control settings to the lowest level. The the error would not happen again. If you are concerned the computer security, then just ignore this and kindly wait for our newer version.

Any DVD Cloner Express, downloaded and Installed, but will NOT LAUNCH/OPEN.

As such, it is impossible to register or Use, at all.

I am Using Windows XP Pro/SP3 and everything else seems to be functioning fine.

I have reinstalled, with same result.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Paul Miller Interface is strange. Have a portrait shaped window rather than horizontal. Shows a partially obscured collapse box a upper right corner, cannot resize, cannot see other controls, etc.

Charles Simpson The display is cut off on the right side and bottom. I cannot see the close button on the right and the output box on the bottom.
I am running win7 home premium on a hp laptop. There is plenty of screen real estate available around the program display.

Nick Kobe Hi!

I just discovered on another offer by Bits Dujour that the license "per user" is really not per user. The license is limited to 3 computers which is certainly misleading. How does you license "per user" actually work?

Please answer my previous questions as I need the answer to those questions so that I can make a decision about purchasing the Ultimate version.

Free Ride I actually know about 3 different Cloner editions, Cloner Express (21,95 €), Cloner (21,95 €) and Cloner Platinum (28,95 €). Where Express is the edition with the fewest features of all. I would actually know why (if the regular Cloner and Express are charged for the same price) the edition with the fewest features is offered, instead of the regular Cloner with an included Shrink feature (DVD-9-DVD-5)? It's not like i'm not happy with the program, i just want to know. ;)

Dustin User I registered well over an hour ago and tried two separate email accounts yet I have not received my key. What is going on? My friend registered about ten minutes before me and received his key in five minutes. I have checked spam folders as well. Is there any way to view this online? I have also tried having emails resent and those aren't coming through either.

Frankly, I'm going to stop being civil if the silence continues much longer. Over 5 hours ago I posted questions which I respectfully requested answers too. No reply. In fact there haven't been any replies in the last 8 hours! In that time there have been 16 unanswered questions or comments. This is pretty bad!

Anvsoft Support @gringoviejo49 sorry for the inconvenience. Please try to uninstall the program completely including delete all related folders and files on hard drive disc. Then download it and right click the exe file and run as administrator, install it in a different hard drive disc. Please check if the problem is solved or not.

Anvsoft Support @afra elan sorry about that! Please uninstall the program, then right click the exe file and run it as administrator, then the error will not show up again. Or you can ignore it and continue the installation, it will not bother you anymore when you use Any DVD Cloner Express.

We have to admit that some newly released DVD or some DVDs may be with more advanced copy protections that are not supported with current version of the program. Anvsoft Support @David Riley you can ignore the error and continue install the program, you still can use the program without problem. Or you also can right click the exe file and run it as administrator and install the program, the error will not show up again.

Nick Kobe I went ahead and purchase the "Ultimate" version of the software prior to reading the posts answering some of my questions. However, I haven't installed it and won't do so until the weekend.

I assume that the video preview has a full screen option similar to DVDFab.

internet explorer I already had version 1.2.2 from a previous giveaway (here?) but it was telling me an upgrade was available, so I downloaded and installed it and now have version 1.2.3, which now seems to be working just fine. So if you missed this offer and have the older version of it, just go to Help - Check for updates and download the new one and you should be good to go!
