Stan @tazzie: Maybe you've to buy a new computer ;-) but not a new license. But you're right: "Licensed per user for non-concurrent use only, not allowing transfer of a license to another owned computer" sounds confusing.

Husker Tech You would be wise to stay away from this software. While some of the applications are effective, the software installs PriceGong, a well known browser add-on with tracking capabilities. It also installs a toolbar even when you have chosen not to during installation. Even more concerning is that PriceGong is left on your PC even after WinOptimizer has been uninstalled.

Hans Nielsen is there an Ashampoo WinOptimizer 9. ??
Serval times i did buy offers like that, wen i did pay, i got a new offer that tell i have an outdated version and have to buy the program again for to have the newest version. grrr
Man i got pist, 4 times i did that mistake.

SoftCollector Actually, such massive discounts are a normal practice at Ashampoo. Their software is generally good. I have bought several versions of Burning Studio, but finally got tired of pointing out a problem that persisted in several versions and was never fixed and refused to buy the latest v10.

Pc Owner Is it a lifetime license? Can it be used on future releases of WinOptimizer? Is it just a 1 user license or can it be used on a 2nd pc?

Patrick Yancey As is clear from their Website, it is common for Ashampoo to sell two versions of an application with the older version generally less inexpensive, I presume to get you to try it. If you then want the newest features, you upgrade to the newest version. I have no issue with that and have upgraded several times (but not always). Whether using the most current version or not, I have found their products to be stable and robust and to function as advertised. I've been using WinOp 8 since spring 2011 and it works very well. In general I'd say that Ashampoo products are a good value. Everyone have a great day!

Stan @Pc Owner: You can't use the license for future versions but I think you'll get a discount The policy says "Transfer of a license to another owned computer not allowed." I think thant means that it's for one pc only.

Adrian Williams On the whole, ashampoo software put out quite good software I upgraded to winoptimizer 8 on an offer from ashampoo. You get regular discount offers from ashampoo and you'd be a fool to pay full price for their software as there are offers on their software somewhere on a daily basis. The suite of features in winop8 is good so you'll get value for money if you take up the BDJ offer. Once registered, ashampoo will make regular offers to upgrade to their new releases. Occasionally you'll get a really good deal by email. Winop8 is reasonably new so I'd be surprised to see v9 out so soon.

It's good to see that some of the established software vendors are using BDJ,. Paragon, ashampoo and paintshop pro for example.
