John H For 5 bucks I was going to purchase this right away instead of waiting for the deal. I have at least 2 to 3 computers on at the same time.

Please clarify the following two contradictory statements from the Policy listing:

"Bandwidth Usage Monitor is licensed per computer, so if you want to install Bandwidth Usage Monitor on multiple computers you will have to purchase multiple licenses."

"Bandwidth Usage Monitor may be used at the same time on multiple computers."

Gaurav Dhup Hi Colin and Basil.. The program does not display or identify which programs are accessing the internet. It just calculates and displays the bandwidth consumed.

Thanks a lot for showing interest in purchasing this program. You may purchase a single copy and install it on multiple systems that you own.

However, I would like to clarify that each computer will maintain it's own bandwidth usage and there will not be any consolidated report from multiple PCs

Gaurav Dhup To all those who are getting an error during installation especially on systems with Win XP.

It is because the system does not have the requisite Microsoft .Net framework installed on it. The installer attempts to download it as a prerequisite, but somehow fails.

To solve this problem, you may download and install the framework separately from the following link

After installation of the framework, the software will install just fine.

The runtime is not included in the installer as it would bulge the installer size to a considerable size, which is unnecessary as the runtime is generally pre installed on most systems.

Simply run the setup.exe from the zip file itself WITHOUT EXTRACTING.

PW Is this meant to be for version 1 or 2? The bitsdujour link says bandwidth-usage-monitor-2 but when I purchase I only get version 1.

Trucker In these days most hardware like routers have a build-in monitor with log file send to your email. I have a 24/7 bandwidth connection and it doesn´t matter how much I down/up-load, so I don´t understand the introduction to this software.

Re my other question, it appears that this monitors local traffic also, I needed it to record outgoing and inbound traffic from the Internet only (outside of the local area).

Is this possible, or maybe you can add this feature to a future update.
