Have you heard what the Internet Service Providers are thinking of doing? They're considering charging you more money if your bandwidth usage exceeds a certain threshold! Either that, or they'll throttle back your speeds automatically, or cut you off completely!

Now, more than ever, you need Bandwidth Usage Monitor to keep a close eye on your consumption of broadband data.

With Bandwidth Usage Monitor, you'll be able to track your daily and monthly broadband usage by way of an intuitive and simple interface. If you suspect that your ISP is throttling your broadband speeds based on your usage, you can use Bandwidth Usage Monitor to monitor your download and upload speeds, and see if anything changes once you exceed a specific number of bytes consumed.

Should you ever come under the tyranny of a metered usage plan, you can set a daily or monthly limit and monitor your progress easily. Heavy users needn't worry - Bandwidth Usage Monitor can measure usage up to a petabyte!

Bandwidth Usage Monitor can be set up to run automatically when Windows starts, and you can have a small display bar showing your bandwidth consumption on top of your application windows. Monthly and yearly reports ensure that you will always be in the loop when it comes to your data consumption.

Luke Donohue Lots of plans have ther monthly billing cycle start on a particular day of the month and end on the same day of the next month.
Does your progam allow specification as to the start and end of te month. eg month starts on 16th and ends 16th of next month?

Gaurav Dhup Hello Luke, The program currently does not support option for setting up a customized start/end date for the month. It does however create a day by day report of the usage.

stormy morning just a head's up here. I routinely scan new files I download before running. I decided to trial this one, & when I scanned with my usual arsenal I got what is most likely a false positive from Spybot S&D HEURISTIC scan only. It shows as clean according to Avira Antivir, Superantispyware, Malwarebytes. I submitted it to Virustotal & is clean according to all scanners there.

I posted in Spybot -- it seems this false positive is coming up on other zipped files.

Gaurav Dhup Heuristic scan from spybot is giving false results as mentioned by the spybot team member in forum..

The following link is just one of many which confirm that the software is 100% clean

Stormy Morning Spybot update fixed their false positive. Now scan shows is fine. Some questions:
1.I choose to view 1 of 3 items, is it still monitoring the other 2 in the background? More importantly, is it also limiting my LAN usage?! Can these items be set separately (or not at all).
2. Can a report be saved/printed? or just a screenshot using other sw?
3.How to set a default view of reports?
4. How to simultaneously show each item? or 2 of the 3 items? or switch views without shutdown /restart each time?

Manoj Shinde Gaurav,

Although your software is safe to use, no doubt. But no body can trust the antivirus report from this type of download site which is merely PHP script based and database driven software junk. These sites show fake awards and antivirus reports.

I am a software developer too and I would rather test the software myself with all possible antivirus and show it as evidence.

Don't mind.

Gaurav Dhup @Stormy

The software will only monitor one connection at a time. It does not limit the usage or moitor any other connection in the background.

In the current version of the software, the reports cannot be exported to anyother format or printed.

Appreciate your feedback.

I am willing to go that extra mile to win that customer trust.

Bandwidth Usage Monitor can be downloaded from Download.com , where it shows that the software is spyware free (I believe we can all trust Download.com!)

Below is the permalink to the report, which contains virus scan results performed by various popular anti-virus softwares like Mcafee, AVG etc.. Any one in doubt can upload the executable and get the scan results.. There are many free services available from various popular vendors.

Jon Koerner I have a computer with two network cards, the cards are connected to two separate networks (e.g., a 192.168.20.255 network and a 192.168.21.255 network).

I need to run two instances of the software, and need monthly/weekly/daily reports for each of the two networks separately. Can it do this??

Gaurav Dhup I am afraid the current version only supports monitoring one network.
