What’s the absolute worst form of malware? It’s ransomware – malware that locks up your files and prevents you from doing anything unless you pay someone. How do you prevent this from ever happening to you? By picking up a copy of today’s discount software promotion, Block Ransomware and Backup!

Block Ransomware and Backup empowers you to prevent ransomware infection while benefiting from real-time backup when changing the contents of files. With Block Ransomware and Backup, you’ll have finely-detailed control over which programs can change files in your target folders and drives.

Block Ransomware and Backup is easy to set up and use. Just specify the folders and drives that you want to safeguard against ransomware. Then respond to the alerts that give you a chance to approve or deny changes to files in that folder! You can choose to deny, allow once, or allow for all applications published by a specific company. Best of all, all file changes are logged by Block Ransomware and Backup.

The second part of protection offered by Block Ransomware and Backup is the automatic copying of modified files in protected folders to a backup folder. So you’ll always have a safe copy of a file no matter what!

After you purchase Block Ransomware and Backup, it may be used for 24 months.

This promotion includes the following:
Block Ransomware and Backup - 1 Year License v2.1.0.4 ($49)
Block Ransomware and Backup - 2 Years License v2.1.0.4 ($89)

MBe Why is this a subscription? I can define for my self, what programs I will allow or deny. There is no need for Definition Updates. Please explain, what benefits are worth to pay periodicly. This should be a one time payment. For an antivirus program for example, I can unterstand that a subscription is a fair deal, because I need permanent Definition Updates, as a result the vendor has costs, that need to be covered. And what will bring the backups to me, when my subscription isn' t anymore activ. How can I access the files in this case?

xSecuritas User Hi?
Thank you for your interest in our products.

The reason for the subscription is that this program needs to be updated continuously like an antivirus program.
When a new type of ransomware program comes out, we need to respond to it.

At the end of the subscription, turn off all file protection policies.
So you can freely access the backup folder.

Rick In terms of Ransomware protection, how is Block Ransomware more effective as compared to Cybersight "RANSOMSTOPPER Free Home & Personal" and App Blocker (i.e., also free).

xSecuritas User I have seen the following related to RansomStopper on WEB:

"This starts with RansomStopper analyzing unknown applications before they execute, allowing it to block some ransomware before it can even launch."

This methodology is different from the method used by the "Block Ransomware and Backup" product.

We do not judge whether a program is Ransomware or not. (The reason is that if Ransomware is judged by a pattern, it may cause a security hole when new Ransomware comes out.)

We instead create the concept of a secure folder and control which applications can change files in this folder.
This program ask the user whether to allow the unregistered program when attempting to change the file.

We also added a feature to automatically back up files when you change the files of a secure folder.
