We've got media stored EVERYWHERE. CDs, DVDs, hard disks, network drives, removable disks... sometimes it can be near-impossible to find the video, movie, or music file we're looking for.

Fortunately for us, CD Catalog Expert makes it easy to catalog and search for pretty much any media file. It helps us quickly locate the necessary files, folders, and disks with an easy-to-use, familiar-looking Explorer-style user interface that allows beginners to start cataloging immediately.

H. H. Hallo,

is there any comparison between cd catalog pro and wincatalog available - especially regarding the various functions of the software?

best regards

It's a misreport of compiled exes with an old version of Delphi long time ago. It's already gone after new versions of Delphi.

Mark Hunter I am trying the trial version first and I cannot get the software to load the CD I put into the e: drive on my computer. E: does not show up in the list of drives, but the is an eject and close e: button, which works. What do I do to scan the CD. I thought it would be automatically done when the CD loads. Also when I went to the Help-CD Catalog Expert Homepage, it went to something about Go-Daddy and nothing there.

On the left to there is the option:
New Disc+
Press that and you get a new screen
On the left browse This Computer +
en click on the disc you inserted
on the right screen you can now give the disc a name or a number, keywords and a discription.
If your done with that
at the botton click Create New
At the end
click Save Catalog

Mark Hunter I finally found the drive, had to look under This Computer, which was not open by default, and then I see the drive. Does this software not look up CD's info from CDDB or somewhere else? It just shows as "Audio CD" and the list is just "Track01.cda" and so on... Is that what should show up?

Bart User @ Mark Hunter: That audio-cd is maybe a thing of the future i think, can not find that option with: http://www.google.com cddb site: http://www.zero2000.com no hits so i think the audio cd database is not requested when a audio cd is inserted. To bad for us, and for them an option that will be handy to add in a new version. Maybe this one. https://www.smartcdcatalog.com/ Main features: Intuitive graphic interface Adding any types of disks Adding separate folders Automatically scanning inserted CDs and DVDs CDDB support <<<<<

CD Catalog Expert only scan information from the disk system, no CDDB support.
