Nancy Vanderhoef So when can I get this deal??

Robert Reese Hi Pearl Mountain,

I'm confused, and am hoping for clarification.

According to the policy:
"Transfer of a license to another owned computer is not allowed."

This means that once a computer this has been installed on is no longer functioning or owned, the software cannot be put on a replacement computer.

HOWEVER, the policy also states:
"CollageIt Pro is licensed per user"

This contradicts the above.

Please clarify the licensing so we can responsibly use the software.

Thanks!
Robert~

Frank Stephens Windows Essentials 2012 includes a free, sophisticated collage maker in Photo Gallery, which is basically a reduced-functionality version of Microsoft Research AutoCollage 2008. I got this while it was free, but I'll probably never use it. I find that other collage makers are toys compared to AutoCollage.

Timothy Wallace Why are there no reponses here from the maker/publisher? Most of the time the sponsor of the title responds to questions. That does not seem to be the case here.

Frank Stephens Roderick Nicolson, this has been on GOTD, you can download the trial, and you can check out the excellent video on this page. You can also install the free Windows Essentials 2012 preview if you meet the system requirements (reboot and reinstall if it fails), or try a trial of AutoCollage. Some people like this largely manual template-based sort of thing, I strongly prefer AutoCollage.

I was clicking on "get it for free" but I was only getting this text:

"Want to Thank Us for this 100% Off Deal? "

***

"Just want the Deal? Skip this step",

with only one clickable point, which did nothing!
The giveaway period wasn't over yet, plus I tried both chrome and firefox.

Robert Reese @Watcher1924

It sounds like you have an issue with your security software on your machine. I, too, clicked "skip this step" and had no trouble (no Facebook here).

However, a work-round on Firefox is to go to the Menu bar, click View then click Page Style, and then click No Style. Scroll down the page to close to the bottom and find the "Skip this step" link and click it.

HTH,
Robert~

Jerry S This is a kind of cool program. This version is a lead-in to a more sophisticated version they sell for $29.95. Microsoft Auto-Collage is free and does much the same thing and perhaps more, but Collage-It is okay for quick stuff. Thank you PearlMountain for a great offer.

For security reasons, Java is no longer installed, but I see nothing warning me that an add-on is needed. It all works in Google Chrome, just vvvveerrrryyyy sliow.

gringoviejo49 I do not know about anyone else, but I installed this program, it seems to have installed correctly. No Errors indicated, BUT will NOT Launch.

I checked the "Administrator Privleges" and they are fine.

The Version indicated is stated:

CollageIt
NOTE: (PRO is NOT indicated anywhere!!)
Version is: 1, 9, 4, 3558

I will now try to completely Uninstall and clean my Registry, Then do a New Clean Install.

I have used an earlier version of this program, last year, it Installed and worked fine.

This one does not.

IF anyone has had this problem, with this offering, please post your experience.

Better yet, I'd love to hear from someone at "Pearl Mountain".

Thanks

gringoviejo49 Well it is an hour later, and I removed ALL traces of the "Failed Install", Cleaned out my registry of all remnants of "CollageIt". Defragged & Rebooted.

Then I Re Downloaded the Setup Program.
As I use IDM (Internet Download Manager", an excellent download Manager and accelerator, And a few programs do not play nicely with it, I used the standard, Non Accelerated method to download the program.

(Note: i am using Win XP Pro/SP3 with ALL Updates installed).

I did get different results:

1) Install progressed normally (as before).

2) the Install completed the Window indicated "Launch Program", I did.
Amazement, the program Opened!!

3) It appears as "CollageIt ver 1.94"

4) I searched for a simple Register Here type of place to enter the License key.

I tried ("About"). Nothing there!!

_Next I tried ""Upgrade, from the menu. There was a place to enter the License.
_I entered the license and it accepted the License.

5) I closed the Program, and then tried to Open it again.

6)IT WILL NOT OPEN.!!!!!!

I do not know where the flaw is, but unless some "Smarter Soul" than I can figure it out, I can only than "Pearl Mountain" for helping me waste too much damn time.

Thanks to whomever can solve this Minor, but annoying problem.

I have been using BitDuJour for years, with great success, for both Paid and Un-Paid programs, this is Only the second one that I have had any problem with.

Pure Frustration!!!

(Thanks to all At BitsDuJour, you guys are great, and I appreciate what you do!!)

PearlMountain @Louis H
The features of each product vary from one another, so we didn't compare features between different products, but just list them on their respective product pages.

Here is the differences between CollageIt and Picture Collage Maker Pro:
1. CollageIt is a collage tool features quick composition of an array of photos as simple collages. After adding photos, you can customize space between photos and collage margin with corresponding sliders. It doesn't support manually moving and resizing each photo. You can click Random Layout to generate different collage continuously. Or click Shuffle to rearrange photos randomly. In a word, CollageIt is a program features automation of generating collage, so it's customization may be less than Picture Collage Maker Pro.

2. There are more decorations in Picture Collage Maker Pro such as frame, mask, clipart, text and calendar, etc. Users can freely move, rotate, resize each photo. It is used for greeting cards, posters, photo calendars and more. There are also more templates in Picture Collage Maker Pro.

You can know more about these 2 products on their product websites.

Yes, please try to clean the Registry and reinstall. If it still doesn't work, please contact us at support@pearlmountainsoft.com, we will send you another download link and license code.
For the name of the program, even if you registered it successfully, it will not change to "Pro". We offer Pro version via trial version + license code. Users first install a trial, and use the license code to register. The way to register is to click menu Help - Upgrade and enter your license. After successful registration, the program will be Pro version with crop feature, customizing collage sizes, and no watermark. The word "Pro" will not be displayed on the name. Users can check the version info in Help - About to see whether it's " Free Edition" or "Pro Edition".

Down Theshore This was on Pale Moon on the Facebook page with all scripts allowed:

"Sorry but we couldn't make that purchase, appears to be some issues with your cart! Please check below and try again".

Right after that NoScript popped up a window with "Potential Clickjacking/UI Redressing Attempt" from the Facebook site. Apparently there is some wonky coding on the site involving that frame that contains the picture of the two guys & the
"Bits du Jour - Today's 100% Off App - Like". The alert window did contain a link to what is, I guess, the page without the redressing attempt, and I was able - finally - to get the product.

We really shouldn't have to disable all of our security software just to take advantage of one of your deals. Perhaps eliminate the tie-in to Facebook?. I mean, I happen to have it just for situations like this, when I either need information or want to take advantage of a deal and never use it for social purposes, but a lot of people want nothing to do with it for justifiable security concerns.
