No Name It doesn't work? I tried to log into a standard SQL server 2005 db and got an error, then a standard access db and got an error also. What gives?

Mike C Same experience as Charles. I attempt to log in and get an error that says the ODBC driver is not installed.

Kevin P I had problems with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server 2005. Various error messages were given. I un-installed it. I don't think version 1.0 is quite ready for prime time

Pieter Branderhorst The problem reported by Charles Little, relating to SQL Server occurs when SQL Server 2005 is used without SP2 installed. There is a fixed version of DataRoamer at http://www.dataroamer.com...er1009.msi If you are using SQL Server 2005 and don't have SP2 please download DataRoamer from the above link. Since this is a quick fix for today's special the final version won't be posted on the DataRoamer download page until it's been thoroughly tested. The problems with Access sound like a missing Microsoft driver. I'll follow up directly with Charles Little and Mike C. (Mike C: Would you please contact us via the form at http://www.dataroamer.com/contact.shtm so that we have an email address for you?) Kevin P: I don't know what could be causing problems like that across the board. But we will figure it out. If you contact us at http://www.dataroamer.com/contact.shtm we'll dig in and get things working. DataRoamer is here for the long haul. Any questions, suggestions, problems are welcome and will be addressed.

Kevin P Hi Pieter. I'll try the latest download and see if that corrects any problems with SQL Server 2005. One other thing to mention is that your installer is somewhat "rude", not giving any options with regard to installation folder and icon placement.

No Name Thanks to Pieter for his excellent support. He has been diligent in working with me through both problems, so much so, that even though the Access problem isn't fixed on one of my machines (it's a problem with the Access installation- big surprise), I invested in his solution.

Thanks again!
