The price we offer on this site is for one single-user license, which could be used in corporations, colleges or family, but the files made by software only allow for internal use. It means you may not distribute them outside your organization.

Single-user license is suitable for internal training, school education and personal use. Therefore, I think it can cover the usage of many clients who may purchase our product on this site.

Chris T So is it allowed for an individual who wants to put it on a personal blog? It would not be sold but who ever follows or reads the blog would see it. It would then in a sense then not be internal but still personal use. Thanks for the clarification.

Stefan Hauber Shouldn't any keystrokes inside the recorded program - similar to mouse-clicks - being recorded and displayed too?

In the trial-version with 'record-keyboard'-option and Auto-text enabled. I pressed '+' and '-', but nothing was displayed in the output. An exception was the DEL key. This one was displayed in the output as 'Press Delete'.

Thanks for your feedback about auto-texting keystrokes inside the recorded program. In most cases, people can see text content the video author type in demo video. And I guess what your situation is, you are operating a program with keyboard input, like playing games. And you want DemoCreator to record all your inputs and display on screen simultaneously. The button "+" and "-" aren't included in the list of Auto-text callouts because most of users use these two buttons only when they type codes or fill in the web blanks in their browsers. If you need to add a callout for pressing these two buttons, you can click Drawing - callout and add one manually.

Thomas O I third that - the software is useless based upon the terms of the personal license.  Can't you change this offer to be for the professional licence.  Also, if there was a bundle for PPT2Video, I would probably be interested in that too!

Gunderic Hagen I was about to buy the software today when I read about their policy mentioned in comments on Bits Du Jour dated one year ago, stating that you are only allowed to use the software "within your organization"....Well, my organization is made up of me only, si I guess I would then be allowed to only show the demos to myself....... I sent them a mail to confirm whethet such an absurd policy is still current... I have yet not received an answer. Let's see if they post an answer here. If the absurd policy is not current any longer, I would buy the software.

Nick Kobe Ditto.  In addition, I have 5 laptops/tablets and WON'T buy software that isn't licensed on a "user" basis.  With the low cost of computers software vendors don't get it.  By the time you purchase software for each computer you could buy a netbook!

Gunderic Hagen Actually I asked them whether they would allow me to download the software in my PC AND my laptop and they said that indeed I could, provided I was the only user, which I am. What we are all waiting now is for a spokesman of the company to tell us all, whether the policy to limit the use of the software to your "own organization only" is old and not current anymore... Can we hear from you WONDERSHARE???....like right now???

Wondershare Software @Jambo Thanks for your interest in our products. I can confirm that we are selling many personal licenses for DemoCreator to our users every month. And we are not having the campaign here without carefully considering the restrictions to users. Within a personal license, you will be able to publish the demo and share it through the web. For instance, you can put the demo on your website, combine it to your tutorials or product instructions. We only restrict buyers from selling the demo directly to their clients and may suggest them the commercial license. Despite this, the personal license can cover all the usage of DemoCreator.  Hope it helps.

Randy Martin So.
1. I can create a demo on how to use my new website. That demo can be accessed on my site by anyone.
2. I can create a demo on how to use my new website and email to someone.
3. I can create a demo on how to use my new website and burn it to a CD and mail to someone.
4. I can create a demo on how to use an LMS application specific to a client of mine and give it to my client to use their website.
5. Can I get paid by my client to produce that demo described in #4?
6. What I CAN'T do is get paid on a project, per-use, basis to create demos for other folks to use on their websites or within their organizations.
Do I have these restrictions correct?
Hurry.
If I can actually use this product in my business, I will buy it TODAY!

So long as you could use the demo as a part of your tech support (Include publishing onto web, copying to CD, giving to your clients and so on) to make your clients better understand your systems, I think there should be no problem by using a single user personal license. And if you may charge your clients the service fee but not sell the demo directly to them, we won't restrict that, too. John G I bought this and the output will not show when i publish to a web site. It will show the output swf locally on Win7 PC, but when trying to run from www site, I get a screen full of Chinese characters. Very p*ssed off.

Michael R. Can I create a zoom-in and auto-pan (following the cursor) after the recording?

In my imagination I first do a record of the complete area I want to record and afterwards, as if I had a video-tool, I can do a zoom to a certain region inside the primarily recorded area or do a follow-the-cursor effect (which will be possible only if the cursor movement is recorded separetely from the video!?)

After having done all this, I would let DemoCreator encode the project with all the effects to the desired output-format...

Is this imagination of the process of mine correct?

b g I hope the software support people will be reviewing these questions and providing answers before the deadline to purchase . . . I hope to buy this software but not before I can get some clarification on the following:
1. I am a 1 person shop so the “users” concept is simple. How many machines can this be installed upon? I am not nimble-fingered (or brained) so they would only be used one at a time.

2. I am assuming this is for v3.5. What is the upgrade policy for this purchase?

3. Can I sell a “how to” instructional video as that or must it be sold as a “service” (See Wang to Martin above, dated 9/24)? What would such a sales contract look like that would satisfy the software vendor.
