Pete User I have used DocxManager, Scrivener, and several others. Because DoxManager uses Microsoft Word documents, it has capabilities far beyond the others. I use this every day to organize my Word docs and Folders related to projects or topics. Recommended!

Henry User 1. Is there a manual for this program in pdf format?
2. Is there a place that compares the two versions being offered?
3. Can a document or series of documents produced by this program be sent to and displayed by a computer that does not have this program installed?

Henry User The text of this offering says, "Since this is the Standard Edition of DocxManager, you can generate a professional-looking website using your Word documents as source documents." That caused me to believe that the standard edition is being offered for $24.50, i.e. the large type size amount at the beginning of the promotion.

At the bottom of the promotion, one learns that there are two versions, and the basic edition is offered at $25.50. while the standard edition is offered at $39.50.

So, which is it?

If you send a DocxManager project folder to a computer without DocxManager installed, you can still edit the Word documents in that folder, because the files are just .docx files. But you cannot utilize DocxManager management feature such as the outliner, tags and so on.

And you are correct, the Basic edition is offered at $25.5, while the Standard edition is offered at #39.5

mr User I guess I missed it this time, but on the docxmanager site it's said to replace writing Outliner, and somewhere (perhaps here) it's said to be a web publishing tool, but on the writing Outliner page it's said to be continued.
So if I want something like scrivener, what program is for me?

Writing Outliner and DocxManager have similar features but there are differences too:

- Data storage:
Writing Outliner stores everything including the documents in a database file, while DocxManager stores only the metadata in the database files but stores the documents in a folder in your computer.
- User interface:
Writing Outliner is embedded into Word window, while with DocxManager it's the other way around - The Word window is embedded into DocxManager.
- Learning curve (according to user feedback):
Some users say it's easier to get started with Writing Outliner. But don't worry, it's also not difficult to learn DocxManager.

Some users prefer Writing Outliner while others prefer DocxManager, so both of the products will be continued.
