In the days of yore, the Windows operating system offered just one type of disk -- the basic disk. You had your primary partitions, extended partitions, and logical drives, and YOU LIKED IT. But then, with the advent of Windows XP Professional, Windows 2000 and Windows Server 2003 came this newfangled invention called the DYNAMIC drive offering simple volumes, spanned volumes, striped volumes, mirrored volumes, and RAID-5 volumes! Everyone shouted "OOH! OOH!" and ran to convert their basic drives to dynamic ones, only to discover at some point that, um, you really couldn't reverse the process easily. Wah, waaaah.

But, soft! what light through yonder window breaks? It's Dynamic Disk Converter, and it converts dynamic disks back to basic ones!

Dynamic Disk Converter performs disk conversion from dynamic to basic without losing data, which is always a good thing. With Dynamic Disk Converter, you are assured that your operating system remains bootable after every conversion, and its friendly and intuitive interface will remove all anxieties about this highly technical and complex maneuver!

Say you've tried to convert a dynamic disk back to a basic one, and as a result you now have yourself an invalid dynamic disk or an unreadable dynamic disk. Don't trash it! Dynamic Disk Converter can save your disk, resurrecting it as the basic disk that you've always wanted! Plus, there's support for disks and volumes up to 2Tb, support for a multitude of file systems (FAT, FAT32, NTFS, exFAT, among them), and even support for Windows 7!

Shiny 521 It seems that the server edition is not available in this discount sales. A right way is to contact its technical support. I just purchased one copy of professional edition, which works great!

Sam Calabrese My desktop came with a Striped RAID 0 (2x160GB) setup.  I would like to install a SSD but and eliminate the RAID.  (Running Win 7 Ultimate)  Can this software help me accomplish that [easily]?? If so, I would buy immediately.

jack Koe From http://www.dynamic-disk.com/  introduction, It can not directly convert a striped RAID 0 back to basic. But It allows to clone a striped volume from a dynamic disk to a new basic disk. This websie said "Support spanned volume, striped volume (RAID 0), mirrored volume (RAID 1) and RAID 5 volume convert (clone) to basic partition. "

Sam Calabrese I read http://www.dynamic-disk.c...-disk.html From what you wrote, may I assume I can 'clone' the RAID 0 (Drive C: in my PC) to the SSD as a new basic disk (Drive C:), then use the SSD as the the boot disk?  That's what I would like to accomplish: use the SSD as the OS boot drive, and remove the 2 160GB drives from the system after everything is converted.  I have plenty of other drives for data storage. Thanks for your comments and help!
