Bruno Verschraegen Hello, I use other software for designing flyers etc but this product could come in handy for colleagues/friends with less experience. One question. Browsing around on the product website I see that various functions require plug-ins. I assume these come at a cost. Where on the site can one see the price of plug-ins?

Omar Barlas Plug-ins are free to download but in the upcoming version of the app (Windows 8 version) some of those plugins may be included within the app

Antoosa You say this program license is a Per Computer license, and then you also say that the program may be installed on all owned computers, which is a good thing, but which normally means it is a Per User license. So, please clarify.... Is this a Per Computer or a Per User license?

It would be nice if it included a step by step wizard for creating your own template from scratch. You can do this, and if you have worked with similar programs it may be quite intuitive for you, but it would be nice for folks who have not done so to have an easy way to get up and running.

It would also be nice to allow for users to upload and share custom made templates for download. I quickly made a customizable Facebook Cover Template, and am now in the process of creating variations. It was quite simple to do.

I started with the Custom Landscape template - a blank template - (you can use any predefined template, as well, but I wanted to start from a blank canvas) and then clicked on the button on the bottom right column to "Show Page Properties." I then chose "Custom Size" from the Size drop down menu and entered the Facebook Cover Photo proportions - 851 by 315 pixels - and then proceeded to add new layers for photos and text.

You add a photo and then you can resize it and change the rotation of it. (I have plenty of templates for Photoshop for doing this, but sometimes I want a quick to load and easy to revise way for updating things like the Facebook Cover Photo. EFC is such a program... and today it is FREE! So why would I not say yes to the offer?)

I am still playing around with it (and have to do some "real" work shortly), and I have not explored/tested all the options, but I really like what I see. This is a very nice FREEBIE today, with lots of customizable options. So thank you to BDJ and Omar (and all the folks at Peridot Techologies) for today's wonderful gift!

Where are you downloading from? It downloaded without any problems for me (I live in Virginia, USA.) Although it could be the servers are getting overloaded with requests for downloading...

I just tried it again... both from the Vendor's website and from the registration email and both attempts were successful. fwiw

Louis H For anyone else who may have a similar problem.....

While I had no problem downloading, installing, and running the program, I did have problems adding the additional masks and frames offered on the website. I had to treat each downloaded exe file as an archive and extract them, using winrar, to a folder and then manually add the masks and frames.

The Masks go into the Masks folder and the frames into the Pictures folder....(both located in the main program folder.)

C:\Program Files (x86)\Easy Flyer Creator 3.0

(or wherever you set the main folder on your system.)

From within the program you access these additional masks and frames by right clicking on the Easy Icon in the upper left hand corner of the screen and choosing the "Check Updates" menu item. This will open the website page where the links for downloading are made available.

Antoosa I'm also having problems registering the program. There is no "field" in which I can enter my registration number.

Any advice from the devleoper on how we can fix this problem?

Also, I never received an answer to my previous question about "per computer" versus "per user" license.

Hope to hear favorably from the developer soon.

CodeDog Very pleasantly surprised with this program. We have programs we create/generate flyers and ad copy in, but I always keep an eye out for other products.

Saw this one today and decided to give it a try, but wasn't expecting a lot (have tried other similar programs that weren't very good). This isn't just another simple flyer creator, there is a lot of depth to this program and a lot of functionality. Very well thought out. Also comes with good documentation, another pleasant surprise. So many of these programs come with very little documentation.

As I said, a surprisingly good program. The only thing I could say is a negative is that there doesn't seem to be an undo function, which is odd, and a feature I use often.

Otherwise, great program. Thanks for the chance to try it...

Jac A. Why don't you advice the program needs to be installed and registered in ONE day after receiving the key?

Does this mean I won't be able to reinstall the software if I reinstall my comp??

Watcher1924 I'm trying to uninstall some version I already had but I get:
"A network error occurred while attempting to read from the file: C:\WINDOWS\Installer\efcSetup.msi"
From my expirience Easy Flyer Creator doesn't allow you to install on top of another version. What is the version given today?

Quill Pen Interesting, I posted 2 comments last evening, they both said they'd show up shortly (I presume because I'd just joined) but NEITHER are showing meaning I didn't receive any help. What's the point of joining if messages don't get posted?
I said that the program loaded and registered fine but that I couldn't find the "free plug ins" on the home page as referenced in earlier comments (even used their site search)
My followup was a complaint that a popup warns that my screen resolution is "too high" so various functions wouldn't look right (and placement was messed up) and I questioned why I'd want to have to downgrade my screen resolution and mess up the 20 other browser windows and apps I run simultaneously just to use one program.
Does BitsDujour only allow happy posts??
Because my posts weren't displayed, does this mean they weren't delivered to Peridot either, because I've not received a reply from them directly, either.
