David H (Seattle) How tied into the Cloud is this security solution? I've been running OA++ starting in January (v4.0.?), and while it seems to offer good protection, it seems to be highly tethered to the corporate server for answering security questions about unfamiliar files. Neat idea, always up to date, but troublesome when the server doesn't answer... like when the 4.5 update blew up my computer and I wanted to download a full copy and reinstall, and all the company servers I could find didn't answer all afternoon on Wednesday (~2:00-8:00 Pacific, Seattle, WA, USA; only OA/Emsisoft didn't answer/DL). Does that leave users partly or fully unprotected from theats unfamiliar to their system (not necessarily new to the world), and/or unable to open / run new files, until the server becomes available again?

Christian Mairoll Important: The cloud information is NOT relevant for the protection level. It is exclusively used to avoid unnecessary alert windows. The servers just store information about which files are known safe or not.

The protection is done by the firewall rules, the HIPS features, the behavior blocker and the signature based malware detection. These parts are always running locally.

Markus J How this bundle compares to OA++? I thought OA++ uses Emsisofts anti-virus engine. I am a big fan of both products. My OA++ license does not expire until march and I have another license of OA premium that expires march 2012. So is (OA premium + Emsisoft Anti-Malware) > OA++ ?
