_*_ I am a confused after going to the website.

If I go to the site via the link here at Bits it takes me directly to the EPub to PDF Converter page.

If I click on the Home button I can only find two programs listed (the current sale not being one of them).

I went looking for the software CJCotter was talking about, Epubor Ultimate v3.0.4.19.

What is this program, and where is it on the site? How much is it and will this be offered here on Bits?

CJCotter Their home page ( http://epubor.com/ ) is promoting Epubor Ultimate Converter, but the most current version is now 3.0.4.22, which is more recent than what I have. They have it on sale at a reduced price.

Loyal User After installing and registering this product without any issues, I have attempted to convert some of my epub books to pdf.

Now I have given up after trying with no less than a dozen books.
Not a single one of them could be opened with Adobe Reader DC (2015).

Error message in all dozen cases said "The root object is missing or invalid".

I also tried to open any of the files with Adobe Acrobat (not Reader).
Error message in all cases was "The file is damaged and could not be repaired".

I hope the software can be fixed, and then offered again.

Note: I am not a computer novice.

CJCotter Tried this out. Thanks for the offer, but still needs some work.
1) There are no margins on the output file.
2) The colored cover is not included in the conversion. All you get is a blank white page.
3) Words with the letters "il" and "ll" are squished together and darkened.
4) Cannot convert Nook epubs.

You said can't convert Nook epubs, please firstly try to open your Nook epub with Calibre (or other epub readers on computer)first, to make sure that whether this book is DRM protected or not. Our this product can only deal with DRM free ePub.

I have submitted a ticket and uploaded a couple of the files that I had tried to convert.
I wanted to attach 3 files, but your ticket reporting page would not accept the 3rd file telling me it exceeds allowable size.
The file is only 3.9 MB.

I don't have any screen output to include because I had uninstalled the program and deleted the unreadable pdf files that it created.

Suggestion to your team:
Let them try converting the uploaded files in BATCH mode to see if the output pdf files are readable.
I think this software should be labeled as in beta testing stage.
It's definitely not in a commercial stage.
A lot of testing is needed, especially the batch mode (when you Add / load multiple files to convert).

I'm getting the same message "The root object is missing or invalid" when using Adobe Acrobat XI Standard. There is no screenshot to take, because the PDF file just won't open. However, my workhorse PDF program is not Adobe; it is PDF-XChange Viewer, which has no problem opening your converted files.

DrTeeth I use the freeware Calibre e-book reader. It has the ability to convert many book formats. It also has ePub > PDF convertion. I have not tested nor used it myself, but maybe worth a look as the main program is free (and frequently updated).

In fact our product supports batch conversion, but must make sure those ePub books are drm free. And about the converted PDF books, we're sorry that can't make sure the PDF can be opened with Adobe Acrobat. So I will recommend you try other PDF readers to open them.

Adobe Reader is the industry standard, and I know it is not the best PDF reader.
Rather than recommending that I use a different reader, I think your team needs to fix the product so the output can be viewed with the Adobe reader.

Your team made the same recommendation on the ticket page, with no reference to say they are working on compatibility with Adobe Acrobat.
