StitchTech Save your money. The number of formats this software converts is limited to the popular ones used on phones and tablets, which would be okay. The DRM removal is problematical if you're bothered by legalities.

But all of this is besides the point. You can get all of this (including DRM removal) from Calibre, which is free. The DRM removal requires downloading a separate add-in (calibre won't include features that might get the software developer arrested!), but the process isn't difficult and easy to find.

And of course, you don't have to stop using Calibre after 12 months.

Edit: Forgot the link: http://www.calibre-ebook.com/

Ben Paturzo Save your money and get Calibre.

On the epubor site they make it sound so easy : "all-in-one" "drag and drop" etc. You have to install Adobe Digital Editions, which means you have to sign up with Adobe -- now that's a great idea if you're going to defeat somebody's DRM!

I d/l the s/w which the site says you can get for free if you write a review -- BUT I could never get it to work. Completely frustrating experience. Calibre worked right out of the box and it was free.

disenchanted Their Christmas sale offer had an option to upgrade to the lifetime version.
I think the price was $39.99 if I remember correctly.

The program worked fine for conversions. There was one time that an ebook batch job with 35 books, did hang up, but that was just a one time event.
Batch jobs of smaller sizes like 5 ebooks at a time converted just fine.

Brad A few questions on your pricing model going forward for new vs. existing users.

1.) If I purchase today at $29.99, a savings of $20, this will get me to 1/15/16.

At expiration on 1/15/16 will I be required to pay full price $49.99? Or since I'd been a loyal user (general industry practice, provides some sort of discount for subsequent years for existing users) say 40% maybe? So another $29.99? Total price for (two years) $59.98 gets me out two years to 1/16/2017?

2.) If no discount is offered in year two, 1st year BitsDuJour promotion $29.99. No loyal user discount, another $49.99. I would pay $79.98 for those two years?

3.) Can you tell me what two of my scenarios to expect for two years of product use.

4.) Finally this promotion offers no discount towards the Lifetime purchase option of $74.99 correct?

I have trialed the product, it works great, I converted two books in my Kindle library. Very simple to use. My only obstacle is what is it going to cost me over the long term.

Please excuse the verbosity?

Thanks in advance for your answers, Brad

Cams77 I like this app and bought it, but there is a better app out there

Its easier to manage. If you contact their site they will make a good discount for shure, especially if you tell them epubor is on sale! I can also convert epub, mobi to pdf and choose page format while with epubor i can't. I requested a ticket and told me to buy "epubor epub to pdf converter".. when i thought the bundle had it all. Hi.

At expiration on 1/15/16, your license code won't work. Then, if you want to continue using this soft, you may have to buy another license, 1 year or more.

And, I'm not sure which discount we will do on the next year 2016. But I want to say that Epubor will always get cooperation with BitsDuJour.

Here is my own opinion, if you like this soft, you can buy it at this deal. Then after placing an order, I can send you an order link that helping you get lifetime upgrade with additional $10.

Thanks. If you want, please open a ticket.

Thanks for the post, but you lost me. Are you saying that your recommended "better" app does not convert epub to pdf after all? That the bundle software sends you to epubor, a competitor? So if I buy the bundle from ebook-converter.com, I still have to buy the epubor software to make the bundle work?

I just want to say that there is no need for you to use another tool if you just want to convert eBooks. This Ultimate eBook Converter works pretty well on drm removing and formats converting.

Of course, it helps you convert eBooks from ePub to PDF.

this application is fine but the other one is just better! Just choose and buy one, it will work ok. You don't need to buy both like i did :)
If you want a discount mail ebook-converter.com and they will probably make you a better price than that on their site.

@ Angel User
Yes it does all you say, but the other application is more user friendly. It lets you list files by date added, created and it lets you convert all ebooks to pdf flowlessly and being able to choose page format like Letter, A4, A5 and so on, while your bundle doesn't. You told me in private to buy your epub to pdf converter application after having bought the bundle... personally i don't think its professional nor polite answer!

Rick Truell Ben Paturzo: "You have to install Adobe Digital Editions"

Really? That would be a problem, as it was revealed in Oct. 2014 that ADE is spyware...it transmits back to Adobe everything you've ever done with it since it was installed, including personally-identifying information. Worse, ADE doesn't encrypt the data before sending it...it's sent in clear-text, which means it can easily be read by someone with a desire to do so. See http://arstechnica.com/se...lain-text/ for more info.

I'll add my voice to those suggesting Calibre...it's cross-platform, free, never expires and is easy to use.

1. This offer includes both Mac and Win version. You can choose either, or both.

2. Now we don't support the service for lifetime upgrading with $10. On payment page you can select your license type. The lifetime license is also 40% off.

3. If you buy a 1-year license, you will not be able to use it after 12 months.

4. We will do re-promotion on Bisdujour, maybe. But now I can't tell you will this 40% off last after 12 months. It depends on our sales program, or other policies.

My own suggestion, if you love this product, buy now here with a 40% off discount. This is the lowest price, we won't do lower discount these months than this, maybe.

Sorry for those inconvenience.

1. Our return policy is 30-day after placing an order, but there are some customers that couldn't use their email to check their licenses in time (for example, on a vocation, or abroad), so in order to avoid these questions, here I extended this policy to lifetime return on Bitsdujour.

2. Our license management function is used for ‘recovering license“. It means that, if you want to re-install our soft on another computer, or similar occations that make you forgetting your license or lose it, then you just need to click on "license management", input your registration email or order ID, our this soft will help you find your license automatically (by searching from our server).

1. Lifetime to use the purchased product

2. Lifetime to renew (the newest version)

J Hi Angel,

I understand the License Management function... but that wasn't my question.

My question is... I don't see the words 'Lifetime License' anywhere within the software. This is usually found within the Help-About screen. I purchased the Lifetime License.

Also, I don't understand your 'Number 3' statement in your above comment...

You say: "3. Lifetime to updates, upgrades. (most of them are free, but maybe, when big upgrades, eg from 2.x to 6.x, need to pay a little upgrades fees). "

Are you saying that even though we buy a Lifetime License, that if it is a BIG UPGRADE from 2.x to 6x.... that we may STILL have to pay an UPGRADE FEE?

Please make this very clear.

Thank you

Cary Adams This promo is a bit costly considering I recently received this same version FREE at another giveaway site.

3. Though there are some alternatives, like ePubee, Calibre, etc, but I can promise that, Epubor is the easiest tool to use. Of course I also think it owns the most beautiful interface.

Hello,

If you have tried this product you will find that, it's much easier to use than Calibre when removing drm from eBooks.

1. Calibre DeDRM plugins have many, when dealing with eBooks that from different stores, you need to check which plugin to load in, yes? But this tool is easy, supports all, one click.

2. This product support directly remove drm from Kindle e-ink devices, no need to input KSN; Support Kobo kepub files, which synced via Kobo desktop or downloaded from Kobo e-ink; It supports newest Nook drm scheme, you know Nook has changed their drm which no longer bundles with users' billing info.

3. Clean interface, not so compatible as Calibre (my own opinion).

Of course you can keep using Calibre. Everyone has his own choice.

Donald User I agree that a 1-year license is not the way to go. But you can get the Windows or MAC lifetime license here for $24.99 by clicking on "Get this Deal" and choosing the 2nd (Win) or 4th (MAC) option.

If you have an expired license I recommend contacting the company and telling them you are looking at their software and an alternative and want to know what it would cost to upgrade you from your expired license to the lifetime one. I did that in December and got it for not much more than the $12.49 offer. I think it was around $18, and keep in mind my license had expired already!

It wasn't clear to me when I purchased the 1-year license that it was a 1-year license. I thought I "owned" it and would only have to pay for newer versions when they came out if I wanted to stay with the newest version. At least here it's pretty clear what you are getting when you see the purchase options, 1-year or lifetime.licenses.

disenchanted Glad to see this program back here, being offered again.

I bought my first copy about 3+ years ago. Though I don't recall it being just a 1 year program.

Whether converting a single file or a batch of files, it never seemed to fail to convert any files I used with the program.

I have occasional debates with Calibre fanboys who claim their caliber program is "just as good" AND "it's free".
[I tried calibre a few times. It worked okay on some files but had issues with other files. Batch jobs consisting of multiple files had problems as well.
If someone wants to chase down patches and applying patches/updates. Dealing with plug-in updates, etc, good for them. Personally I would rather pay a fair amount and let programmers ensure the software conversions all work.

**As I mentioned to the calibre fanboys. I like MILK but I certainly won't go get a dairy cow (even if it was given to me for free) and get a plastic-recycling-shredder, plus a plastic injection mold machine to create new milk containers from reuse plastic, then injection form the plastic into new gallon milk jugs. Simply because it might be FREE and/or significantly cheaper].

Epubor Ultimate is about as EASY AS IT GETS, when doing ebook conversions. Plus it's pricing is fair.
Basically it is a "Point and Click" software program. You just chose your files to be converted, either individually or in a batch. Then just click START and walk away.
Your single file conversion or your multiple file batch job will run by itself and let you know when it is finished. If any errors occurred, you are alerted to those files also.

I like epubor ultimate and have enjoyed the good results it achieves.

disenchanted I loved the short video .

Pretty accurate, in how, according to the little video segment,
A snappier video titled might be.
"How Epubor ultimate makes DRM'd eBooks it's bich!

I personally patronize those "forward-thinking" book publishers from DRM-free publishers.
I ike to avoid a lot of the DRM issues to begin with.
I buy mainly IT and computer-related subject ebooks ,
I buy most of my ebooks from Consumer Friendly places like No Starch Press.
Such ebook vendors as whose ebooks are make DRM-Free to begin with.

Gary Smith Since there is a later version already out, there is no need in getting this ... unless the version number is wrong. Says version 3.0.7.9 but 3.0.9.222 is out.

Ela S. Using Epubor Ultimate for years and with ease - just click and convert.

Now what is the difference to the Epubor eBook Manager?

Is Epubor Ultimate included in the eBook Manager, since it offers conversion as well?

Epubor Epubor Ultimate supports Kindle KFX directly, but eBook manager does not support Kindle kfx for now, it has libraries which allow you manage DRM free ebooks.

Ela S. Thanks Epubor for the answer.

Since I have a beloved Kindle Keyboard, so I still have to rely on the Epubor Ultimate version.

Would be nice to have all functions included in one Epubor application, incl the conversion.

In the meantime, one has to operate one eBook manager, one conversion tool, one transfer app, one bookmark / citation manager etc.

(And thanks to all Calibre fans for further comments. I know this program very well, but prefer the simplicity of Epubor :-)

Epubor Hi there,
The Epubor Ebook manager also allows you transfer books from Kobo to Kindle , or kindle to Kindle , or kindle to computer.
What's more, the free version allows you handle DRM-FREE books, but the pro version will allow you handle DRM-ED books. So Epubor ebook manager is an all-in-one tool. You can download the free version to have a try.

bvssunnydale Hi, does this work with the CURRENT version of the Kindle ebook format? (I know Amazon changes it from time to time just to insure its DRM continues to work). Thanks!

Epubor Ultimate works with the current version of Kindle eBooks formats (azw, kfx, azw3). One thing to remember, it doesn't work for Kindle KCR format books on Mac. In that situation, you should use the Epubor Kindle Converter.
