Michael R. Is it possible to upgrade a former-bought 1year license to a lifetime license for the price difference today, i.e. for about $24?

When modifiying an email and pressing accidently [x], which unfortunately happened quite often in the last time, PIM closes it without asking. (It asks when creating a new email, but not when modifying an already existing one). I suppose, this is a bug and will be fixed in a next update, but unfortunately my 1 year of free updates is over now...

So the above upgrade-price would make sense to me. Just another year for getting this bug fixed would probably not...

With regards to the issue - do you mean you're replying to an email message? If yes, EssentialPIM will ask whether to save changes only if something was actually modified.

Just checked the issue: If I create a new message and I just enter the contents and make no change in the other fields, E-PIM does not ask me anything, when I try to close the window.

Interesting, we are still not able to reproduce the issue on our side. Once something is written in any of the fields (or message body), EPIM starts to ask whether to save changes.

_*_ I came across another PIM called EfficientPIM. It appears EfficientPIM and EssentialPIM share the same history, and it appears EssentialPIM derived from the other (EssentialPIM has higher version number).

Mariusz Lewandowski I have left EPIM (lifetime licese) after nearly three years of intensive everyday use and don't look back. From the user's point of view EPIM's great features need more or less serious improvement. Of course, there are zillions of satisfied users, maybe my needs are very special.

John Terdik How do you select a subset of contacts for mass mailing. How does EPIM get around the issue of looking like you are a spammer? Example, I need to send an email to 2500 of my 4000 contacts. Normally most ISP will stop such and flag you as a spammer.

John Terdik Currently I have several PCs in my home network (for myself and my wife) and have setup a sync process where all systems sync my Outlook (2010/2013) calendar and contacts across all systems and my android phone. Thus if I make a change to the cal or contacts on any system it is reflected on the other systems. Can I do the same with EPIM?

Or will EPIM sync with Outlook 2010/2013, e.g. in both directions?

Astonsoft Ltd. John, passwords are stored in the database file that you can encrypt using one of the leading encryption algorithms - AES.

With regards to contacts selection - you can use regular Windows shortcuts: Ctrl+A, Ctrl+Click, Shift+Click. You should probably send messages out in batches in order not to look like a spammer for you ISP.

With regards to synchronization - you can do that. Although a Network (Business) edition would suit you better as it allows to work with a single database file from several PCs simultaneously. EPIM can also synchronize with Outlook.

Alexa, the issues were discussed on EPIM forums many times. I was able to work with EPIM for nearly 1000 days so it's not that bad. Anyway, I'll be concise:

You can use only ONE calendar (no option to define separate calendars for business/private/wife/children plans). There are categories available but you cannot assign several categories to one item.

Good global search functionality -- you can define several conditions but the only available operands are "Match ALL of the following" and "Match ANY of the following". Cannot define strings like e.g. "aa" AND ("bb" OR "cc") -- "Name=John" AND ("Category=Private" OR "Category=Family").

Event's Start date is not displayed in the search results. This is essential to analyze past events. I can use filters in the Table view but it not the same.

No option to save complex search conditions.

No preview of search results. "Details" and "Go To item" buttons need too much clicking to preview contents.

No highlight of the search phrase - if you have many long notes to look in then the global search finds ONLY the notes (titles) containing the search phrase. You have to open the found notes one by one and search the phrase again to finally find what you need.

Global search is possible only in the active (open) database. While EPIM allows to use many dbs it would be nice if global is really "global" and looks in other databases, too.

Insert Hyperling dialog does not use tree structure. It is a nightmare to search target items in a flat list (in my db it was well over 4000 entries). There's a filter box to narrow the list BUT - if target is Note - the filter looks in the titles only instead of the contents.

Event's or Task's note shows ONLY FIVE LINES of text (scrollable but good luck with longer text). Cannot resize these dialogs.

Contact tab (All, Personal Info, Business, Notes, Picture, Attachments) titles with empty fields look the same way as when the tab fields contain data. A bold font or any icon in tab's title would do the job to inform about data available on a tab.

No tagging system despite promised long, long, looong ago.

One skin available. I prefer dark themes.

No "populate" option in the Passwords module that would automatically fill in the logon fields and erase data from clipboard afterwards. Hence passwords from the "Passwords" module remain in clipboard forever.

Define any task with no dates. Drag it from ToDo list to calendar grid (if View ToDo bar is checked) when done. Thus you create a task with "Show in Calendar" option checked. BUT such task does not have the "Due date" defined (only "Start date" is updated) and fools the date range limit in Table view (see here: http://www.essentialpim.c...=2&t=14683).

Good thing is that some of them have already been taken care of (although not in the currently publicly available 5.57 version). Like the "populate" option in the Passwords module, changed UI for Contacts (and thus their tabs), tags and multiple categories.
As for the others - their time will surely come. Hope to see you back by then, your license allows that :)

With the is the sync in real time for all systems?
What if a system does not have access to the database, e.g. I take my laptop on the road with me. I assume that EPIM on the laptop would work with the data on the laptop and then sync when reconnected to my network.

MS outlook has support for categories but does not sync the categories but my 3rd party applications do sync the categories and the colors associated with the categories, does EPIM sync the categories and the color of the categories with Outlook?

If I'm syncing with Google and the like would this replace the requirement for the network edition? Currently I'm not using the likes of Google to sync mainly because Google really messed me up when I tried it.

Astonsoft Ltd. John, if it's a Network (Business) edition then there's no need to sync as you're working with the same database file. If you don't have an access to the database you can save it locally on your PC and then sync with the one on the server when you're back.

Yep, EPIM fully supports synchronization of its own and Outlook categories and their colors.

If you're synchronizing with Google or any other supported online service then I guess you are good to go without the Network version.

Stephen Kreyling Eventually, if this is how the site operates with the "Free" being used for extended trials, people will go elsewhere for a better deal. Its nice it works for a year, but "Free" to me does not mean an extended trial. Maybe bits needs to correct their system and allow vendors to properly post the details using extended trial with expiration in x months. I think that would be more honest and I would assume more people will pass on offers from them.

You got a good product, but "Free" should not have an expiration, that is a true trial. Even paid software when the updates run out, it still works, you just dont get any new updates. Maybe the software should be Free for this version and future versions after the 1 year period has a cost. If people like the program and use it, they will pay for the latest.

CL I know that EssentialPIM can sync to Outlook.
Can it sink to multiple calendar or notes modules (e.g. Calender_Work, Calendar_Personal, Notes, Notes_work, Notes_Personal etc)
I have several Calendars (and Notes) within outlook.
In my test of the trial version it would only sync to the main Outlook Calendar and note and I could not figure out how to sync the other calendar and notes.

Astonsoft Ltd. Let's put it this way. In some cases license in not required at all. Say, you can synchronize Windows EssentialPIM Free with Android EssentialPIM Free. If you wish to use Windows EssentialPIM Pro (and you need a license for that), you can synchronize it with Android EssentialPIM Free or Android EssentialPIM Pro. In order words, synchronization will work in any case, it's just a question of additional features you get with the Pro version.

Except maybe for syncing tasks running several instances of a PIM simultaneous using a Keyboard-Video-Mouse-Switch makes not so much sense IMHO ;-O

M M Alexa, as you advised in your first reply (the second post in this thread) I contacted your customer support (using my other email). They answered just my first question about my current license, did not propose anything to upgrading to lifetime upgrades :(
Also, they did not reply if I need to pay for Pro on Android separately, a hint on your "Buy" page says that single Desktop license allows me to use EPIM on 2 owned puters and "unlimited number of smartphones and tablets" (!). Can you please confirm it applies to Pro on Android?

Petr I just purchased EssentialPIM Pro on today's deal. The order confirmation page has a download link so I downloaded and installed verion 5.

Now, checking my email, there is a link for version 6, but the download file is labelled "version 4". This is very confusing. I hope my experience with this software becomes better than what I described above.

Please reply to clarify which version I should install?
I also have both Apple iOS and Android devices:
a. iPhone 4s with iOS version 7
b. iPad with iOS version 6
c. Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with Android 4.4.4

I want all my portable devices to be able to sync. I assume this is possible. Please advise what software I should install on each of the above devices?

I will be using my gmail account for Calendar, Documents, email, tasks and notes. Will all these work on all the devices? Thanks.

Amit Hello,
I wanted to know if there are some features available in this program -
1) Web capture - just select any text in any browser and press any hotkey (or any other way assigned in essentialpim pro) and the seleced text in the active browser will be added to essentialpim pro
2) And also will then the additional information like title and url of the webpage will also get noted and added to the essentialpim pro field of that very added webcapture, so that i can get to the url of the added text later.
If these features are not available in the present version of essentialpim pro then can they be added soon. Will be a must buy then. Thanks a lot.

Stefan Mueller Talking customizable and making life easier - I am having a very hard time deciphering the tiny fonts of column headers and many other interface elements.

Are there any settings or tweaks to make this software compatible with high DPI notebooks? Very few screen elements seem to scale along with Windows settings, for the most part headers and dialogs remain almost illegible.

Zooming does not work, not with Ctrl mousewheel and not with Ctrl Numpad +- or any other of the usual shortcuts? Any way to zoom the interface like in modern browsers and office suites?

Yes, 6.06 from the download trial link. It looks terrible over here. Some elements , such as menu entries follow Windows settings, nice and large. Other stuff not even half that size.

Especially bad some column headers and also headings like "Today" and all tree entries of Notes and Contacts. The font for the notes and contacts can be customized, but their tree does not follow that setting. Many things like that

Laga Mahesa What's the situation with multiple calendars? I use 6 separate color-coded Google calendars just for work (class daily schedule, class events, exams, holidays, school events, faculty and deadlines).

From what I see in the following thread link, EPIM does not support multiple calendars. This is what has stopped me buying before now.

I am reluctant to change Windows settings, as this will affect other programs as well. The problem seems to be within EPIM. To reproduce, crank up the font for notes, then look at the tree of notes - it won't scale along. Same thing everywhere, contacts, mail, todo, passwords ....

These calendars are not just for personal use, as I share them with colleagues and students. For example, I give r/w access to middle/high school department heads for faculty and events, while class captains get r/w access to class events.

As I understand it, EPIM has one calendar entity. If I make a new event in EPIM, how does it decide which calendar to sync that new entry to?

Dierk Based on a couple of hours spent with the "Trial," the Windows version of EPIM appears to be a viable Outlook replacement.
Did not try the Mail module, as never used Outlook for Email, and have stuck with Thunderbird for past several years (as most alternatives have vanished...).

As expected, the Notes module in EPIM is not overly robust: probably only a few steps behind the old "PhatNotes" (desktop) program, but well behind the best of the current Windows Information Databases (personal favorite is RightNote Pro -- which has a powerful set of features.)

But, it is probably not fair to expect a "Full" PIM to compete against Dedicated Information managers that specialize in organizing a variety of data types.

AND, EPIM has the distinct advantage of offering a Native Android version, with Local (NOT Cloud Based...) WiFi Sync between Desktop & Mobile - something that is difficult to find.

Alas, the Android version of EPIM is still a work-in-progress, but it IS functional enough to be useful.
The Android Notes module is only minimally functional - but this is a sore spot on Android in any event, with NOTHING available that compares to the PhatNotes Windows Mobile app. And the EPIM Android interface still lags behind other apps, such as Pocket Informant.

Still, the overall function of EPIM Windows, the ability to Sync to a Native Android app - and the promise that the Android version will see improvements - makes EPIM a good bet as a "Keeper": Accordingly, will take advantage of the current promotion.

I own an (old) Palm TX, that finally died (sniff !!!) Yes, yes, I know ... it was old but a *great* little critter :D
Been looking for a replacement that can properly import all the DB, and eventually be synced on Android. I got Free ePIM portable 6.54 to test the different options

1) I had no problem importing the Contacts DB that is in .vcf format and the Palm Memo in .txt format.
2) But, what to do w the rest? Some time ago, I was able to convert Tasks & ToDo from .dba & .tda to .csv format
I have been unable to import any of it into ePIM? The only option to import any .csv is the Password section ... :(
Please, can you help?

Unfortunately import of tasks and events that are in CSV format is not supported. Maybe you can find a csv to iCal converter.. In this case you'll be able to import anything. Also, if you are still able to connect your Palm to a PC, there's direct synchronization with EssentialPIM that will allow you to get all the data into the program in no time. Hello, a similar question to Tortuga's: I was using Palm long time ago, still have the Palm Desktop (v4.1.4) installed on a laptop, with data in its databases (.dat format). Is there any way to import from these, not using the Palm device (even if I manage to start it again I would have hardware issues connecting it to a laptop, it was using either serial or IrDA connections, not used anymore)

Astonsoft Ltd. M M, I'm afraid you will not be able to sync your data from Palm Desktop without having connected a Palm device. What you can do is to export your data and then import it into EssentialPIM. As far as I remember there were some options like CSV for contacts that EPIM supports as import formats.

What an idea !!!! I didn't even think of exporting from the laptop's DB! DUH!!

I kept a couple of old PCs/Laptops 'just-in-case', and one of them must still hv the whole thing installed.
I'll try to get some time this WE to try that out.
At this point, I'm willing to try *anything* !!! sigh
In the meantime, I found a site that allowed me to convert the .csv to .ics, then I imported it to ePIM
Maybe it can help you for some of the DBs?

Dennis Wallentin I find Windows EPIM and Android EPIM to be very good. Less resource consuming compared with some other similar tools.

My suggestion is to download the free version and explore it. If You like what You see and experience then use this offer.

While I have the attention of EPIM representant here I would like to address an annoying thing:

Using DropBox as storage for the underlying database is a good way. However, is it possible for You to speed up the transfer? Overall I find the database operations to be the bottle neck.

Could You have the kindness to put it on top of the To-do-Agenda for next major release.

The main problem here is that we always need to download/upload the whole database file, regardless of the changes made. In this case EPIM Cloud could be a better solution as we only move altered data to the service and back, which takes much less time.

Eugene Saltz I have been using EssentialPIM since 2008, and never regretted having done so. It provides a calendar for scheduling both my personal and professional life which is very flexible. The same can be said for its note taking capabilities as well. There are other modules that I currently don't take advantage of, but I know others who do and are happy with them.

The best part of EssentialPIM for me is that the desktop version synchs with my Android cell phone (Apple cell phone app is also available). That means that when I am traveling, I have all the information on my PC version with me - mighty handy!

There is a free version - give it a try and see if it is for you.

Edward Smith I would like to try buy this product, but without synchronizing to my iPhone, this product would be worthless to me. My concern is that the reviews for the iPhone version are not good, and many of the reviews specifically state that the app does not sync. The iPhone app has not been updated for over two years. Apple now issues warnings that older apps may slow down the iPhone, and that the developer needs to update their app. It would appear that the android version is being actively developed, but the iPhone version is not. The latest release of an android version is a month ago, while the last release of the iPhone version is over two years ago. Couple that with the negative responses for the iPhone version, and I just don't see how I can make this purchase.

Dierk This is a deal worth picking up: there are two desktop applications I have set to auto-start to open windows: EssentialPIM (Pro, Lifetime), and RightNotes (Pro).

RightNotes is the best desktop "complex data" Information Database I have found, while EssentialPIM is - well, "Essential" - as a Calendar, Contacts, and Tasks platform - with simple note taking abilities, plus email handling if one desires.

(There is also a Passwords module, which we have frankly not even looked at, being fully committed to eWallet for a wide variety of sensitive data storage & multi-platform sync.)

The ability to sync to the Android version is (again...) "Essential," and while the Notes component is weak (especially on android), it is quite suitable for brief notes that one wants to have easily synced between mobile & desktop. Plus Astonsoft has released several android updates since purchase which provides hope for even more improvements down the road.

If on the fence, will suggest a visit to the EPIM web site for greater detail on the program's capabilities - and will echo Eugene Saltz's recommendation to look at the User Forum, which has actually proven useful.

M User I have been using EssentialPIM since so many years (lifetime license) and like it a lot. But, after some optimalisations for hDPI-monitors, there are still some bad scalings on 4K and 5K-screens. For example in the Contact-module. Or in the Today-screen (the down-right corner with the bithdays (the icon is not complete and with days with more than one birtday ... the view is 'compressed' and not fully readable.

One last problem: each time I start EPIM I get a 'The database is checked'-window (very annoying). As part of that (?) I can't make automatic updates (dangerous). Is there a tool available for fixing the DB? Thanks in advance!

Otherwise, as I said: very happy and a good recommendation! I recommand the Lifetime License!!

If your database file needs to be checked for consistency each time your start EssentialPIM, please try to optimize the database by clicking on File->Database Management. If that doesn't help, I'd recommend you to sync your existing database over a new one with our free tool - EPIM Synchronizer (available for download from our web site).

Although, if you wish to have different settings for each of the instances, I'd recommend you to specifically run EssentialPIM Pro Portable version (not the regular one) with each instance running from its own separate folder. That's because the INI file with the program settings will be stored in the directory you launch EPIM Portable from.

Dierk EPIM is an excellent program, especially when used with its Android version, which has seen regular updates & has become much more robust.
As with any feature-rich application, it does pay to spend a bit of time learning the details (try running through "Working with EssentialPIM (Pro...)" in the Help file), but the basics can be grasped fairly easily.

Even ignoring the Password module (long time eWallet user...), and sticking with T-bird as a desktop email client (web mail only from mobile devices), still felt that EPIM Pro was easily worth its asking price - on both platforms (and the "Lifetime License" is a great bargain!).

Now I have a new phone, how do I transfer the app to the new phone?
The old phone is unusable, meaning every blue moon it comes on, just long enough so I manage to transfer a few bits of data out of it ... :(

FreshAsADaisy Ordered the 1-yr the last time EPIM was offered. I needed something to replace my PocketPC (yeah, you read that right). I kept the PPC because I needed something that would sync with Outlook on my PC. Also I was hoping for an Agenda Fusion-type experience.

EPIM won over the other options because it was possible to sync data w/ Android/iOS without using Google products. The Outlook connection worked well, the sync is good, and the modules are functional (I'm hoping for improvements).

The licencing scheme is horrible, though. I have three PCs that I use -- non-concurrently -- in addition to Android devices. I've been thinking about getting the lifetime licence but the two-PC limit is a problem.

Mappi75 Same problem here,

i need it for 3-4 pcs (2 pc & 2 laptops).
(our household has much more devices).

Buying 2 license only allow using it on two devices at the same time. :P

1 User 1 pc&laptop license seems to be outdated and should be replaced
with a family license.

Buying 4 single lifetime license is too expensive..

Sadly no buy :P

Dierk Using EPim Pro: Excellent Windows / Android app for Calendar, Tasks, Contacts & short form Notes. Only use the Email module on desktop - and only for a couple of select accounts: integration with the Contacts module is a Plus, but still run Thunderbird for most accounts as it permits Indexed Search via 3rd party applications. (Email usage on portable devices is via web only).
Have not used the Passwords module beyond simple tests, which revealed very basic functionality - it certainly does not compete against dedicated applications such as eWallet (personal favorite - also cross-platform, & with strong sync options).
Note that the Password module would probably work just fine for many users - eWallet usage goes well beyond "just" Passwords to include a wide variety of "sensitive" and / or "important" data - but even without using it (EPim Passwords) this is still the best Windows / Android PIM I have been able to find.
To be fair, functionality of EPim has continuously improved since purchase, especially on the Android end, and has reached the point where I am no longer "in the market" for substitutes: difficult to imagine another cross-platform PIM with enough features & stability to be tempting.
OH: The on-line User Forum is worth visiting. EPim reps frequent the forum, and have been very helpful in resolving problems / answering questions.

I desperately needed something to replace the epic Agenda Fusion on an handheld device so the last time EPIM was offered, I took a chance and purchased the 1-yr lic.

I like the product and am pleased that there is an Outlook connector. I think this is really the only option to consider for someone who wants a full-featured PIM to sync across devices and yet remain out of the googleverse.

Are you offering an upgrade to lifetime with this promotion?

I have a question that I need to find out before I make a purchase.
I have used the free version on 3 older laptops (all different versions of the software) that I have decommissioned but still have the HDDs from those machines. If I was to purchase the PRO version and install it on my current machine would I be able to merge the notes that I have created on the other 3 HDDs to the new PRO installation? I am only interested on the notes part of the program and nothing else. I used the free version mainly as a note maker since those laptops were used for business purpose. If possible how would I do that?
Remember, I only have HDDs that can be mounted and explored but not a machine to boot on from them.

Eugene Saltz I purchased Essential PIM over 10 years ago, here on Bits DuJour. I have used it every day since, and I rate it a solid "five stars". The PC desktop version syncs cleanly with my EPIM Android cell phone app counterpart (there is an iOS counterpart as well) - which few PIMs can do. New features are added to the software frequently, and the support forum is very active. (I am not associated in any way with the software publisher - but just wanted to share my experience with this product).

FreeLoader Does this require online activation?

I ask because I have purchased several applications with a lifetime license/upgrade where the company either discontinued the product (and rebranded to a different product requiring a new license) or went out of business. When this happens, they have taken the activation servers offline and now I can't re-install my application with a lifetime license/upgrades.

Also, does EssentialPIM Pro require the occasional phone home to continue working?

Both of these scenarios would be a deal breaker for me to buy the lifetime license.

S User Wonderful tool, certainly worth recommending to purchase the lifetime version! License also works for the portable version :)
Very good suggestions from MUser regarding the standard additions to the contact fields of extra socials and astros. You can create this yourself, but better if the option comes in by default ;)

What I would really like to see is that the iOS version gets a makeover and can certainly sync notes (or a selection of notes).

Peter Hello,

very nice app - I just wanted to make a few remarks respectively suggestions:

1. A comfortable search function (especially for note titles) is of highest importance for me. EssentialPIM seems to me almost perfect in this respect. I have found only one bigger problem: The program also searches *within* a word and not only at its beginning. So for example when searching (only) for "nation" it will also show me "alternation", "combination", "international" etc. This may be useful for some purposes but often it is not (especially when searching for a certain keyword in an alphabetical list). So in case that you want to keep this way of searching - could you at least add an option for a search only at the beginning of a word?

2. Not so important but it would be fine: Could you make the search field (which is now in the upper right corner) transferable for the user to another place (somthing like docking)? As mentioned above, I need it mainly for the note titles - so I would prefer to have it on top of the tree.

3. EssentialPIM keeps the formatting in an excellent way when copying and pasting something from MS Word. A small detail does not work correctly, but the result is unpleasant: There are these hyphens which appear only when the syllables of a word are separated at the end of a line (created in MS Word by "Ctrl" + "-") Unfortunatelay in EssentialPIM they become visible also when the word is at another place of the line. E.g. The word "international" is always shown in this way: "inter-national". This should be fixed, if possible.

4. At the moment I have a database of about 25.000 notes (created in MyInfo). There are no performance problems at all in MyInfo. Could I expect the same smooth using with EssentialPIM too?

5. Is there any possibility for a (more or less) comfortable way to import such a big amount of notes? (E.g. by splitting automatically let's say 30 entries combined in a single .rtf-file exported with MyInfo in 30 separated notes in EssentialPIM)?

4. Yes, you can. Theoretically there's no limit regarding the number of notes EPIM could handle. Nor there should be any performance issues.
5. I'm afraid if notes are in a single RTF file, EPIM will not be able to distinguish in between them. The best way would be to export them into different files and then import as separate notes.

Two more details I would like to ask you about:

1. Could you add an option to open hyperlinks simply by clicking on them? I am aware that the method to press keys has security reasons. But in my database I only have hyperlinks to other notes - so it is no danger at all and by far more comfortable when they are directly clickable. ;-)

2. A (minor) issue concerning formatting: Tables are perfect in EPIM when copying/pasting them from MS Word. With one exception: They become much smaller (smaller width of the cells). It's no big problem as it can be changed manually in EPIm's editor. But perhaps you can fix this so that the table width is automatically kept (at least more or less)?

- If I buy the license for "EssentialPIM Pro (Inclusive 1 Year of Free Updates)" for $23.97 this means: "Ability to use purchased version forever." Correct?
If yes, so essentially it is also a lifetime license (in contrast e.g. with some subscription model).

- With this license after one year I can
-- either continue to use my old version without any more updates (and with no more financial obligations)
-- or I can buy one more year of updates (currently for 17,95 € according with your website)
-- or I can buy updates for a lifetime (currently for 35,95 €) (https://www.essentialpim.com/pricing).
Also correct?

If my assumptions are right, I think that the headline on your website for the two last mentioned options is a little bit misleading as it says: "Renew EssentialPIM Pro license". As it is anyway a lifetime license, it is not necessary to pay for its renewal. You just offer the ordering of a period of time for which I can get more updates (1 year respectively a lifetime). Correct too?

The number of licenses should equal to the number of program installations. I.e. if you have 10 installations, you need to purchase 10 licenses. A license could be used for registering as the regular/desktop versions as the portable ones. Hope that answers your question. Thanks!

I have the following questions:
1. How many different calendars does the software support, meaning can I have a calendar that has only my business entries, one for personal items and one for a specific project, say a home renovation project for example. And if so, can the view customization for each one be different or is it universal to all versions?

2. How many email accounts can the email part of the program handle?

I also have an old version of the program v6. Is there an option available for upgrading that version to the current one and at what cost?

Astonsoft Ltd. 1. There's a single calendar, although you can differentiate entries by categories and tags, for instance. Of you can create a new file for each of the calendars and then customize them to your liking.
2. An unlimited number of email accounts is supported.

1. in the free version, i succeeded to sync only google emails (Gmail) but not the calendar. can google calendar be synced ?

2. How is the software support for Arabic & Hebrew languages ?

Astonsoft Ltd. Hello,
1. Sync with Google Calendar and another Google services like Tasks, Contacts, etc., is available in the Pro version only.
2. Support of the RTL languages is there. You can test it with the free version, as well.

riad af I just checked in the free version, can write in both Arabic & Hebrew, the text and words order are okey BUT question marks etc. at the end of a paragraph appears in the opposite side.
Is there a solution to this ?

Also you said "There's a single calendar, although you can differentiate entries by categories and tags, for instance" Using that would the calendar display only the items matching that category/tag criteria and make all others invisible?

Yes, you can customize the view so that only events matching certain criteria are displayed.

MK Just be aware - I bought this last time on BDJ, and it stopped working after a few months on my Windows 11 computer. Response I got was:

"Unfortunately, we don't have solution for the issue. It appears and goes away randomly.
If you plan to reinstall Windows then this usually helps."

So wasted my money.

I already own 3 licenses for the business lifetime version and would like to get one more for another new PC.
Guess I should use the Key for the lifetime business version you send to me in 2020? I'm not sure because BdJ changed habits in the past, they now register keys under another mail address than previously. I'm a registered user of 3 lifetime free updates licenses and would like to add a 4. version PC. My previous licenses were registered under another e-mail because BDJ changed habits a few years back. Can 1 buy the new business lifetime license here but use the reg-key you sent in 2020?

In the past you told me, the database for the business Lifetime version needs to be installed on a " server" . I don't want to always run one of the computers all the time to be able to access the database 24/7. Should I restrict to the lifetime Pro version and refresh the database on the other computers manually?

F. Edwin Felty, direct import from Evernote is not currently possible. However, if Evernote can export its data into files like rtf or txt, then you can import these files into EssentialPIM.

FinanceGuy I have been a strong supporter of EssentialPIM for years, however, it happened for the second time that an update broke synchronization. No solution after over a week of troubleshooting with their support. Bottom line: Thoroughly test this software before purchasing to make sure it works for you.
