Mark Johnson For use with Sql Server, your website states that the product supports:
"SQLServer versions 7.0, 2000, 2005, MSDE, SQL 2005 Express Edition, 2008 and SQL 2008 Express Edition"

What about versions 2008R2, 2012, and 2014?

Many companies have moved past version 2008 a number of years ago. I realize the product offers ODBC support, but the sql native client is far superior in performance. Since I would be using a tool like FlowHeater to import millions of records at a time the performance is very important.

Also.... how does the product handle bad data? If there are a handful of invalid records mixed in with millions of valid records, what happens with the import?

One more... On March 31 I asked about an XML adapter, and received the response,
"A first version of a native XML Adapter for Version 3.x is planned for end of Mai."

I don't see an XML adapter listed on your website yet?

Robert Stark Hi Mark,

FlowHeater supports of course all SQL Server Version up to 2014. The performance is really high and FlowHeater has no problems with import/exports of millions of rows. I will fix our website content quickly, Thanks for the notice.

Handling of bad data: There are a lot of ways to handle them. You can build IF-THEN-ELSE conditions to check your data. For example you can filter out them while importing, or you switch the content to another default content, and so on. The solution depends on your purpose.

About XML Adapter you’re right. Currently no XML Adapter available. The reason why is; XML can be very complex and the XML Adapter isn’t finished yet and tested enough. By the moment I can’t say a new release date but we’re working hard for it.

Robert Stark Hi Michael,

I’m afraid I can’t say the XML Adapter will be free or not. Currently there is no new major release (V4) planned till end of this year.

R. G. Hi Robert,
Is there a possibility of contacting you via email to ask a question? I have a different kind of scenario that is probably best explained with screenshots (mysql export from a CMS to another CMS directly or via csv) and I wonder if FlowHeater helps simplify or solve it for me.
