What are people saying about Graham Process Mapping Starter Edition

Steve Mathias I've been trying to purchase the software off and on all day today but the prgress of the screens prevent me from doing so.

Please take a look at your links from the initial "Buy Now" button onward. It fails to correctly navigate.

Ben Graham My apologies for the problems you encountered.

The navigation problem was related to a problem with the discount code that we (The Ben Graham Corporation) provided to BDJ. (The code was prematurely canceled) This was brought to our attention this morning, but we were unable to get the problem corrected until this evening.

Steve Mathias 2nd Email... perhaps it is just me, but as of a few inutes ago, I still can't connect to buy.

When I select the "Buy Now" button, the screen flips to a new screen for about a second then goes blank. In the lower left hand corner of the screen is the marker which says "Done"

the URL the "Buy Now" screen jumps to is:

www.regnow.com/softsell/n...kid=100002

Bottom line, I'd like to try the starter deal... but can't get through.

Can you help?

Thanks

Franklin K Hi,
While reviewing the developer's website I noticed an educational license.
I am enrolled with an accredited university and am taking a computer forensics "distance learning" course.
I can think of several uses for this type of software, in working with a forensic project/e-discovery.
I have a student ID number and a username/log in assigned; to access the college's training assignments.
But, the college did not provide an email address [maybe due to this course being distance-education instead of on-campus].

Is there any way to get an academic license if a student has not been provided with a .EDU email address?

Michael Sanders Can you save the files into anything else other than a gc7 file extension? PDF? HTML? FLV?

Nov 2 2011 at 10:07am Copy Link

Ben Graham Graham Process Maps are saved as gc7 files by default and that is the only file type that is provided directly. However, PDFs and image files can be created using 3rd party drivers. Doro provides a free PDF driver that works well and print-driver.com offers their Universal Document Converter that will create multiple types of image files.

Tore Hoyem I just purchased the starter edition to play with.

I noticed that international characters like "øæå" are not displayed inside the diagram.
Any chance of adding support for this any time soon?

May 20 2012 at 2:17pm Copy Link

Ben Graham Hi Tore,

We will introduce version 8 with a new screen font. Most international characters aren't displaying with our use of the arial font so we will address it. Anyone who purchases through this offer will be upgraded to version 8 - late this year - at no charge.

Eddie What other improvements are planned for version 8?

May 20 2012 at 4:34pm Copy Link

Ben Graham Version 8 includes nearly 50 enhancements so far with a few more on the way. A few more visible updates include the new screen font - arial, automending of lines when a symbol is removed, and autodrawing lines to pasted blocks and symbols. Bypasses have been simplified to occupy a single grid – they will also place automatically in most cases. You can save any Block that has been cut or copied as a Template (Ctrl-T or select from the Edit Menu). Template Blocks can be retrieved and reused any time (Ctr-L for the list or select from the Edit Menu). The mouse scroll wheel is activated for left/right scrolling...hold down the Ctrl key for vertical scrolling. Easily draw a frame within a frame (frame remove now limited to corner grids), + and – keys are activated to Zoom in and out.

Alino Miceli It was 70% off. Why just 35% now?

May 21 2012 at 1:00am Copy Link

Eddie @Alino,
It was 70% off during the day of the promo, and that promo has ended.
Perhaps it will be offered again in the future, as is often the case with other software at BitsduJour.
