As the popularity of your website grows, so too does the risk of someone infinitely less talented and ethical than yourself just stealing your content. Nothing quite matches the shock and horror of discovering your best photo or article on another website, attributed to someone else! The Internet makes copying content all too easy, which is why it's so important that you get a copy of HTML Guard today!

HTML Guard helps you to protect your website's images, text, and HTML code from being copied. With HTML Guard, not only can you encrypt the source code for your website, you'll also be able to prevent unauthorized copying of anything that's on it! And yet, everyone with a JavaScript-enabled web browser will still be able to see your stuff and will be none the wiser to your security measures - until they try to steal it, of course!

What does HTML Guard stop? How about preventing text selection? Blocking the right mouse button, so "Save Image" becomes impossible? Or disabling print functionality? HTML Guard even encrypts your email address, so you don't end up on a billion spam lists just by putting your credentials on your site. Of course, all of this protection is fully configurable, so you can elect to encrypt only certain parts of your site, or block only certain actions.

Thanks to an intuitive interface and handy wizard, anyone can begin protecting their content today in just a few steps with HTML Guard!

Randy Martin So. If I have someone create a site for me in WordPress and then walk away. Can I take this make it work on that site? Or do I need to know something technical? That is, do I have to be the designer/creator of the site?

Is this a license per site? Or can I use this on 10 of my sites?

In this case, what does non-concurrent mean? I can only use it on my office computer?

Thanks.

Ray Costanzo This productive is deceptive, in my opinion. There is no such thing as making it impossible to save an image, view the source, etc. I'd like to see a sample site that is "guarded."

Andreas Wulf @Randy: HTML Guard is best suited for protecting plain HTML pages or PHP/ASP/JSP pages that contain only small server-side script parts. I'm sorry to say that the tool doesn't work with content management systems such as Wordpress, which generate HTML code on the fly from a database.

With one single license you are allowed to install and use HTML Guard on up to three computers provided you are the only user. You may use this license for protecting as many pages/websites as you want.

Andreas Wulf @Ray: You are absolutely right, there is no such thing as 100% secure website copy protection. HTML Guard can only make copying more difficult. For more info, please see the "Things You Should Know" page on the HTML Guard website at:

Steve Wright What about for SEO? Is the text still readable by search engine spiders?

Andreas Wulf If you use HTML Guard's encryption feature, search engines will no longer be able to index the encrypted pages. This means you should be very careful in deciding what parts of a website to encrypt. However, apart from the encryption, HTML Guard's other features (like disabling the context menu, blocking text selection, etc.) shouldn't affect SEO.
