Software Babe Here is how I learned Web Development: I had a web server, I grabbed someone else's web page on the Internet and I began changing code to see how it worked. I learned quickly. THEN, I learned, on my own, different web programming techniques from free sources on the Internet. That was in the 1990s. Been doing it ever since.

But, for those of you who want to learn QUICKLY, this could be your ticket.

Freddie User Wordpress is definitely easier for someone newer to web dev. If you don't have time to code it yourself or the budget to hire somebody, WordPress will get the damn thing done.

It’s one I use for every project, but only because it’s the best solution for my target clients. If you just want results right now, definitely do WordPress, but in the long run having the skills to build custom sites pays huge dividends.

Not trying to start a flame war, just my thoughts.
