sky base If you don't have a Face Book account there is supposed to be a questionnaire.
Thats an extra step which means another reason why someone wouldn't spend the time to download the software. But even If I wanted to fill out the questionnaire - Where is the Hell is the damn questionnaire!!!!!
I abhor being redirected to Face Book! I've had problems with this Software Provider as well and thanks group for the warning. I've been waiting for this for 3 days and now that it's here all I see are Face Book bullcrap blocks to download it.

Keith Davis I tried to download the pro version that was offered in the face book site . I didn't get the pro version to download.... and I didn't get the email with the license code.... and then when I tried to recover it the next day, it said that It did not recognize my email address???? I've been using the advanced system ultimate program for a long time and thought I was at least in the system information. ???? I guess that's why it was free..... getting nothing for nothing???

Clive Richards after installing and running a scan I found some issues
1) it's main window cannot be resized to full screen so some data is truncated and you have to hover over each item to read it fully
2) More important is that the list gives no information about the program that the detected item relates to. A lot of free software and some toolbars are identified as issues and not knowing what an issue relates to makes it unsafe to delete any of them. Another free trial program I have used gave information about what each item was related to. I know for example that I have a toolbar which uses processes considered as problems but is useful enough to me to accept the spyware.
Unfortunately I will have to delete this as it simply does not give enough information. I imagine for anyone who says "NO" to "ANY" spyware it will be fine but not for me I am afraid.
Malwarebytes gives this kind of information but have never seen this offered with a free subscription (hint BJD!)

Ralf Macmahon Good software. Have used it for years. I already have the Pro version.
Can set it to just warn you about PUPs (Potentially Unwanted Programs).
Go into Quarantine and Restore if something is accidentally moved.
Top Right there's a click down for Settings.
Can list safe items to skip while scanning.
Many free games and softwares that come bundled with option to
choose Toolbar or Skip... These sometimes are detected as
PUPs. Can just click safe, restore, or skip.
Never DELETE software in Quarantine if you want to RESTORE it.
Can turn off DOG which catches software that acts like malware.
GREAT MALWARE SCANNER... BETTER YET is MALWAREBYTES.

"Upgrades to future versions of the software will require additional payment. Installing a new version may overwrite the existing version and invalidate your license key."

Auto Update is the default setting for the program. I assume that "updates" are different from "upgrades." Am I correct in that?

Pavi Johnson It seems like PC Magazine remains unimpressed with version 3. Just a couple of months ago (3/2015) they reviewed it and gave it their lowest possible score (0.5/5 stars):

Sure the product is free for 1 year, but with this type of result, it might give a false sense of security. PC Mag does say that Advanced SystemCare works, although not as well as some other products.

Paul Crozier I just ran this and it found 3 threats it claims are Trojan.Generic. None are. I wrote the code it is picking up and none of it is malicious. I just ran Eset and SuperAntiSpyware on them and they don't report anything. Be sure you don't have Automatic repair ticked as you'll want to review what it is going to fix.

Colin McAllister I have had today's code sent to my email address registered with BDJ. That address was spoofed a few weeks ago and emails sent to that email address get instantly deleted by auto rule.

I have changed my address within my BDJ profile, but I can't get the license details sent as BDJ says I have already ordered and only 1 purchase is allowed. Is there any way I can get the license sent to a different email address?

Daryn Bogart Having used Iobit Malware Fighter for some years, the new version is much better than its predecessors as the database used has been updated. These giveaways are typically a 6 month subscription and this one is the same.

I always suggest using this in addition to another antivirus product. There really arent much differences in products these days so I just go with Windows Defender and Malware Fighter. It will scan on a regular basis.

roy User This software installed a load of bloatware even though i the unticked the option on installation screen then when i tried to unistall it trashed my hard drive,lucky i had a backup done yesterday.My advice is leave this software alone unless you want to risk your hard drive ending up like mine.

John User I’m already using this software so I’ve downloaded this for my daughter. FYI, there is a problematic fault in the code to this program which is... if you are using a Logitech webcam (any model) the software that comes with it will fail to work properly, it will cause a green image or the image will tack very badly. I have informed IObit many times but as yet received no reply.

Runs smoothly side by side with my Avast AV and Zemana AL.

Many of the comments are old, going back to 2014 and referencing versions as far back as 3, so I would not give much weight to them.

I'd recommend to anyone, give this a try.

Robert Hare The most current version of IOBit Malware Fighter Pro is v10.1 and apparently that si what is being described above. However, when I download the version that we are offerd as a download link on this page, it turns out to be a much older version: v8.9.5.889 . Additionally, this description page says we have up to 10 days to install butht eh emailed softare receipt says we have only three days.

We are also cautioned that if we upgrade the license nay stop functioing and all upgrades cost money. What is the point of having a giveaway (6-month trial) if the version installed is so far out of date that it requires updating. Is the six month trial instantly going to stop if I upgrade?

When I tried to activate the software using the activation key that was emailed to me, I got an error: This is a giveaway license and only valid for the specified version. Click OK to purchase a new license code for IMF v8 Pro.

Is there a way around this?

I bought the free offer, downloaded the program and entered the registration information sent me by email ... but it insists that I buy another version, and the one I downloaded and entered the registration code into still says "free" and not "Pro", and is not version 10 but just 8.9.5. What did I do wrong?

Steven Trott The registration code provided in the email does not work. When I enter the code, I get a message trying to get me to purchase a code. If this is all I get, there is no way I can really test the program, so if there is no solution, I would have no other choice but to uninstall the program. If I can't test it, I won't buy it.
