RichU Is this the PRO version?

Constantin Florea @RichU, Yes it is. Once you register the application using the registration key from the receipt email, the license inside the application will turn from Free into the Pro license.

On BitsDuJour we have a policy according to which we do not promote already free products.

Constantin Florea @Colin McAllister, Please notice that the coupon code works with the "IObit Malware Fighter 5 PRO (1 year / 1 PC)" Buy Now link but it doesn't currently work with the "Advanced SystemCare 10 PRO (1 year / 1 PC)" Buy Now link. If you can't see the discount applied for "IObit Malware Fighter 5 PRO (1 year / 1 PC)" I suggest clearing the browser cache and cookies and trying again or alternatively you may try using another browser (like IE, Chrome, Firefox or Opera) for the duration of the purchase.

The coupon code did work yesterday for both products when we set up the cross-sells.

I just contacted the vendor to help fix the issue for "Advanced SystemCare 10 PRO (1 year / 1 PC)".

N. User The IObit Unnstaller has ALWAYS been free INDEFINITELY on their own website.
Only the PRO version has to be purchased.
So where does that USD 14.95 price come from?

Clive Richards It is a bit confusing - I already have a license for pro valid to 2018 but note that it is ver 6.3 - The version here is 6.4 which is the same one being advertised on their website - this still has a free and pro version which leads me to believe that the offer probably is the pro version. No harm in trying it to find out if you don't already have pro. However it is only a 6 month license so be prepared for nagging emails to renew.

The odd thing is that when I search v6.3 for updates it tells me I already have the latest version and that no updates are available

CFGuy For IObit Rep,

I am a long-time fan and very satisfied user of your "Advanced Systemcare Ultimate" for many years now and I have had nothing but positive experiences with your programs, as well as your customer and technical support. I use "Advanced Systemcare Ultimate" at least 1x week to clean-up and keep my computers running smoothly and as problem-free as possible.

I have tried this program, "IObit Uninstaller" (the "free" edition) in the past and have also had very good experiences with it, as well. I am thrilled to see the "pro" version being generously offered here on BDJ as a "giveaway".
I understand from this promotion's description that this giveaway only covers 6 months use of the "pro" version of this program.

My question is: for those of us who would like greater than six months coverage, are you also offering a discounted version of the "pro" version of this program for sale that would allow coverage/usage for more than six months?

Personally, I would be very interested in such an offer.

If you would please get back to me/us and let us know about this, I would be greatly appreciative.

Thanks so much,
-Cfguy

jman I have been using this for a while and am happy with it. Does what it claims and has even warned me about program items remaining after uninstalling with another uninstaller I had been trying. It has some nice features like a Software Update tab that tells you which of your programs has an update available; Force Uninstall; Cleanup Residual; File Shredder; Uninstall History; even a Windows Update History in a cleaner view, IMO, than the one in Windows settings update.

I appreciate the choice of a light or dark menu and 3 different size fonts as well. For someone with a bum eye, that really helps!

As to PUPs, when installing you may be offered to include something like Chrome. That's business and I understand that. With IObit, I appreciate that the "yes" box is never prechecked like so many other companies do. You are made aware without a doubt about the additional offering and must actively choose or decline it, it is not automatic.

I very much recommend grabbing this offer, even if it is just to give it a try.

Thanks for reading.

Thank you IObit and, as always, to the BDJ team!

STEVE K 5.21.19 to BitsDuJour

IObit website shows Free version 8.5, your ad shows Free version 8 & Pro version 8 being given away, as well as version 8.1. I have Pro version 8.4 from a previous giveaway.

What, exactly, is being given away here?

Also, you offer 6 mo. trialware for Pro for "50% off." That means that a 6 month subscription is normally sold for twice the unstated price? Or are you offering 1/2 an annual subscription for a commensurate 1/2 the price, which effectively results in full price, pro rata, for 6 months?

What is the story here?
May 21 2019 at 6:28am Copy Link
1
Paul User To Steve K and Max Ho. My experience with iobit says you can update to the 8.5 with the key that you get (which I have done), but you can't upgrade to version 9 when it come out for free. I suspect you will actually download 8.5 now though. After 6 months the key will expire and you will revert to the free version, however, either GiveAway of the day or BitsDuJour will give it away before the 6 months is up and you can get a new key from either of those sites. Just remember, you'll need to up date the key when it's available, and not wait until the 6 months is up.

Wolfen Stevens This is my GO TO program for uninstalls. My only complaint is it trying to come on in the background (Uninstall monitor). There is no reason that I can see for this taking up my ram in the background. The only time any part of this program should be running is when being used..nuff sed! Great product other than that. Pair it with Advance SystemCare and your computers basic firewall for great results.

Constantin Florea @Jerry Voletto, This is indeed the PRO version. We believe the VirusTotal report:
https://www.bitsdujour.co...virus-scan
showing the 6 "Suspicious" detections are false positives and this is because none of the other major AV systems detected the file and also because this vendor is one vendor we trust with the files they are using to sell the products on their site.

Louis H Double checked every screen during Installation. Installation program, from BDJ email, also installed three programs from iTop - VPN, Screen Recorder, and Screenshot programs. I even ran installer a 2nd time to make sure I didn't miss a chance to NOT install these. I did not. Not Cool!. So be warned. I like the uninstall program, and I don't mind it coming with "other offers," but do not appreciate not being given the chance to clearly say no to installing anything other than the program I actually wanted.

To add salt to the wound, 2 of the installed programs I did not want are "trials." One is free. I will say they gave me a chance to try out iObit Uninstaller right away. Worked like a charm to get rid of all 3.

Constantin Florea @RichU, The FastestVPN product is there most likely from a previous (but not finished) attempt to purchase FastestVPN on that computer. So the product naturally remained in the shopping cart until you would remove it.

bob trout Installs several other "need to pay for" software, weather you opt out or not. Which you then have to uninstall, sheesh. Basically, just shows installed programs with a garbage can icon to delete them. Same as using Programs and Features in Control Panel, I think.
Apr 16 2022 at 12:44pm Copy Link
2
DJ User While I agree that its attempt to load other software is more than just a PITA, I have yet had any do so when I decline them.
Unlike Uninstall in Control Panel, this uninstaller will comb through the files after the original is uninstalled and remove any trace of it (except the original install file should you want to re-install it down the road). You would be surprised how many program remnants get left on the system/in the registry after what you think is a clean uninstall.
This is my second fall back as I still use the trusted Revo Uninstaller Pro I got here months and months ago. So far it has not failed in complete program removals.
