What are people saying about Leawo Blu-ray Player

Michael Paul I downloaded the trial in anticipation of the promotion to see if it'd interest me. I am impressed. It doesn't seem to be just another blu-ray software based on VLC open source code. And it can playback dvds just like a stand-alone, a capability absent from other blu-ray software I have tried.. BTW, the clock on the Leamo interface is pretty cool.

But I find the fine print hard to understand. Installation is for "1 computer" BUT the software may not be used on more than 1 computer at the same time. If I can only install on 1 computer then simultaneous multi-pc use is not a problem, right?

Toby Yang Hello Michael,

Thanks for your message! Yes, we do want to provide our users with a unique and high-quality Blu-ray/DVD player but with easy navigation and well-designed UI.

Regarding the '1 computer" issue, it can only be installed on one computer. You have to purchase a new license if you want to install it on another computer, and even if you won't to use them at the same time.

Thank you and please just reply if you have further questions.

Have a great weekend!

Charles Mitchell @ Michael....This player is not based on VLC but it is based on XBMC media player.....But Toby has at least put up the links on the Leawo website to access the source code that they used according to what the GPL states....

Toby Yang Hi, Stephen,

Please be kindly advised that this software is permanently free to play regular videos and DVDs, except Blu-ray. So am afraid you have to purchase another new license after one year, if you continue to use it for Blu-ray playback.

Thanks and hope it helps!

Toby Yang Hello Greg,

Podcasts are not supported at this moment cause this software is currently not able to play the content subscribed by RSS from iTunes. Hopefully we will add this as a new feature in the next versions.

Thanks and have a great day!

Toby Yang Hi Greg,

Just to add a little bit more details: to be specific, if the podcasts were already saved on your local computer and DRM-free, then this software is able to play it!

Mark Chiang There is currently an offer through Leawo's web site to either get the program through Trialpay OR by writing a review on Cnet and emailing them a screenshot.
